We’re sorry this guest felt dissatisfied with her stay. The check in day multiple concerns and refund requests were raised, and we responded promptly and worked to address each issue, however anything I offered to remedy her concerns weren’t good enough. Vrbo did ultimately issue a refund after ongoing complaints during the stay. From our perspective, it appears the guest’s plans may have changed after booking, and the situation escalated into repeated refund requests and dissatisfaction tied to expectations around the stay. We always take guest feedback seriously and strive to ensure accurate representation of our home and a positive experience for all guests. However, we believe this review reflects frustration tied to a change in circumstances rather than the condition of the property itself.

I often ask guests what time they expect to check out because some leave the evening before, some have very early flights (such as 6:00 a.m.), and occasionally guests are unsure of the checkout time or even the checkout day. Knowing their plans helps me coordinate scheduling with my cleaning team as efficiently as possible. The question was simply intended to help with logistics and ensure the home is prepared for incoming guests. I'm sorry that it caused any frustration.

I do want to clarify a couple of things—there were bath towels provided for four guests prior to your arrival, so I’m sorry if there was any confusion there. Additionally, the microwave has since been replaced to ensure everything is working properly for future guests. Cleanliness is very important to us, and we take concerns like this seriously. Had we been made aware during your stay, we would have gladly addressed any issues right away.

Thank you for your feedback. The home was professionally cleaned prior to arrival, and we have timestamped photos confirming its condition. If anything had felt off, I would have been more than happy to send the cleaning crew back immediately had I been notified. Regarding the kitchen, we provide the listed amenities, including six pots and pans for cooking. Items such as aluminum foil and zip-top bags are not listed amenities and are not typically provided. When you let me know about additional paper goods, I was glad to bring those by promptly. I appreciate you noting the quiet neighborhood and responsive communication, and I value feedback that helps ensure expectations are clear for future guests.

We had a guest check out that same day so we turned the house over as quickly as possible. The guest checked in early. She checked in right when the cleaner finished at 2:51pm. Check in is 4:00. A lot of hosts charge for an early check in which I didn’t. The guest also requested a late check out which I accommodated and didn’t charge for.
