Simple Affordable Room!
This room is simple, clean and a warm place to spend the night.
The room is in a mobile home with shared kitchen, living room, front porch and laundry room.
Room is 100sf + 14sf closet
The property is a ten acre, quiet spot.
25 mins from cute downtown Nevada City
10 minutes from Ananda Village
8 mins from Mother Truckers health food store
30 mins to Grass Valley
15 mins from beautiful Yuba river!
A few things to know:
We know our room isn't right for everyone, and thats ok. There are a few renovations that we haven't gotten to yet.
-This means there are leak stains and some sagging in the living room. The leak has been fixed, but the interior hasn't yet.
-The carpet in the living room and guest room is old, but we keep it vacuumed and clean.
-The toilet, tub and sink in the bathroom have some staining from rusty water. We keep them clean, but they look.. old!
-Paint. The previous owners had a zealous way of painting and we haven't painted over it yet. Not peeling or anything like that, it just looks kinda crazy in some areas of the house.
Overall, the house is rough around the edges, but is kept clean!
If you're particular, then this might not be the place for you.

Hi there, my name is Leo Lauchere. I bought our ten acre homestead in March of 2024. I am the founder of an internationally recognized Ecosystem Restoration Community in San Jose called 'EcoCamp Coyote.' check out the first ineration of that project at: Ecocampcoyote.org
This property is a continuation of that project.
When I got here the place was an utter mess. Everything had been run into the ground and there was trash and junk everywhere. I've worked hard to turn this junk pile into a home for those of us who live here and our guests.
Extending my work with the Ecocamp, we practice a method of forest managmanet called 'Fire Mimicry' wherein humans manually minic some of the beneficial ecosystem functions that 'healthy fire' serves in a forest ecosystem.

There are a few folks living on site here. I am particular about who lives here, that we are kind and supportive to each other.
