We had a wonderful time, the host was very helpful and friendly. The view of the Lake was beautiful and the many visits to the Golden State Park and Marina were enjoyed by myself and the dogs. We also visited the Yates Town Park which was just down the road a short drive. My husband and son went fishing and came back to a warm and cozy cottage! We loved it!!!

Relaxing little cottage

We have stayed 8 times since we found this little cottage 7 years ago!! Each time it's been so relaxing! The views are amazing! The sunsets are awesome! It's a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! We enjoy watching the ever changing lake Ontario, walking in the parks nearby, and all the nature surrounding the area! Cant wait to go back!

Not an Accurate Listing

We booked this house for a 60th birthday celebration. It was central enough for our party to get to. We specifically chose this listing compared to other ones because air conditioning was listed as an amenity and we had some older heat sensitive people in the group. Upon arrival we realized this was not an amenity of the property and the host said she would remove it from the listing. As of today (8/30), two weeks after bringing this to her attention the listing still shows that as an amenity. She immediately offered to refund our money and cancel our stay but with people driving a few hours to get here, we had no where else to go on such short notice. We stayed the nights and found this cottage to be deeply unsafe and a huge electrical hazard. 3 outlets were missing covers including one in the bathroom right by the sink which was easily at risk to get wet. After speaking with the host and people in our party struggling without the air conditioning we asked the host if we could leave early and get a partial refund for our last night to which there was a misunderstanding and she thought we wanted to stay an extra day and she immediately sent us an invoice for an extended stay fee. When i reached back out to clarify i never heard back from her. Overall i would not recommend this property, we stayed since we had no where else to go and tried to make the most of it. The property was clean but not in great condition and we were honestly scared of the electrical hazards.

Beautiful view, not worth the cost though.

Location was good. View was terrific. This little cottage needs a lot of work for the little over 1k spent to stay. Screen door for the main entrance is about to fall off and does not close. Had to keep the main door closed so that mosquitoes and bugs did not come in. Sliding screen door would not stay on track. Electrical outlet covers only exist in the main area. Even the bathroom does not have an outlet cover on it at the sink. Bathroom not finished in the ceiling area, which left wide open holes going to who knows where. Bathroom does not have a light switch and you have to fumble around in the dark to find a cord with a switch on it over the sink. Shower handles about to fall off and absolutely no water pressure at all. It's hard to get soap off you, let alone out of your hair. We tried both beds and they are both very outdated and not comfortable at all. Couches very uncomfortable. Windows in the front bedroom are stuck shut, no air flow. Floors in some areas are sinking in and a little weak. We stayed for four nights and we had three towels. It states that we would need beach towels if going in the water. No washer/dryer to wash towels, its locked up. The kitchen is fully furnished, that helped. I was born and raised in lyndonville so I also know what a cottage is and what to expect. We did enjoy our stay but its not what was expected. A fire marshal/Inspector would have a field day. More to say but I spent the money by choice. No sense in beating a dead horse.

Fun little getaway

Small ,kinda unkempt on outside,had some rain that leaked in a bit in bathroom .but loved it right by the lake that we loved to swim in. Was just large enough for our family. Cottage was clean,but on the older side. We might come back again!

Nice and pleasant

The house was very much our style
old school and slightly imperfect. Don’t take that the wrong way
the house was well equipped and had an old cottage charm. You can’t beat the view as it is right on the lake. It’s also very quiet even though there are homes on both sides. It was a relaxing few days. I would recommend this property.

When the description said on Lake Ontario, it is a few steps away. It had great views of the lake. he area was quiet, basically farmland. However, small towns are within minutes of the location with plenty of friendly people. Ideal for a get away or as we did, a fishing trip. We would return again to this cottage.

very nice place we loved sitting out by the water having our morning coffee

very quiet and enjoyable place, our only issue was it didn't have air conditioning and that's something at my age I have to have You only have to bring your food and clothes, she supplied all the pots, pans, dishes, shampoo, soap towels, sheets, blankets, fans, grill, fire pit, cleaners and it was super clean
