Nestled in the heart of Romney, this elegant 1920's jewel box retreat offers a serene escape with modern amenities. Perfect for families or an adventure base, our home features 2 updated bathrooms, new kitchen appliances and completely renovated living and bedroom spaces. Minutes walk to restaurants, coffee and gift shops or simply relax in the fully fenced backyard. Short trips to the Potomac Eagle Scenic Train and hunting, fishing and hiking on the Potomac River and local Wildlife Management Areas! Dog friendly!

This was the absolute cutest property that I have ever stayed at with VRBO. Loved the music room and the game room. The art all over the house was adorable. We even purchased some art from your little honor system art basket. The house was very clean and we loved all of the labels that were on everything so we were able to easily maneuver through the house. Would definitely come back here.

What a wonderful home! The neighborhood is a quiet, historic area with lots of fun little shops. Mike was great to work with and very accommodating. I am in Romney often and will stay here again.

This was a beautiful and clean property that had everything we needed for a stay with a family of 4. There was not one single thing we needed to cook, do laundry or anything else that wasn’t provided. My mother used to live in the area and sold her house, and we wanted a place to stay to visit friends that would be more like home instead of a hotel. The house was perfect for what we needed, and by far the cleanest rental property we have ever stayed at. I only regret that it was too hot when we stayed to spend much time outside, because there is a lovely, fenced in backyard with a fire pit and cornhole boards. Also, the hosts were extremely accommodating when we needed to change our check out time, and very responsive. Would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Romney.

Girls' Weekend

The "Heart of Romney" is a beautiful house with everything you will need. My friends and I were very impressed with all of the thoughtful touches the owners have put in place for their guests, right down to the toiletries in the bathroom and cooking essentials in the kitchen. The beds were very comfortable, the porch a lovely place to sit and relax, and there were a number of good places to eat within walking distance. We also celebrated West Virginia Day by taking a train ride on the Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad, which was only minutes from the house. We enjoyed our Girls' getaway and left rested and relaxed.

Absolutely wonderful

Everything was perfect. Just like walking into a family home. Very welcoming.The only thing i suggest is it needs AC unit 's put in earlier in the year. Other than that everything was great

Christmas in Romney

Family planned event, wonderful location within walking distance to downtown quaint shops and eateries. The house provided comfortable accommodations, well stocked kitchen, clean, inviting, lovely decor, artsy and fun place hang out, I would definitely stay there again. The owner was phenomenal with communication and accessible.

Great spot in the center of Romney

Came in for a celebration of life. We originally just had planned it for 2 of us, but my wife’s cousins were also coming so my wife invited them. We were 3 older couples and the home was perfectly arranged to handle the increase of family. It is a 2 story home, the downstairs are great for dinner and entertainment. The upstairs is the sleeping area. The host were very supportive and helpful and always quick to Respond when we had a question. Highly recommend this home.

Weekend getaway

Great place and great area. Ate at tge Romney Diner, just a two minute walk up the street and people and food are top notch, owe them a 5 star review and another place,called Italian Touch. Some of the best pizza and the staff are very sweet. I owe them a 5 star review. Took a ride on the Potoman Eagle railway for the foilage tour and that was amazing too! Excellence all around!

Amazing

Beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to town. We went to Romney to check out the Wild Roots Cafe on our way to the Outer Banks. It was almost exactly 1/2 way for us. The house was clean and had great amenities including Cornhole which we loved. We had also brought bocce ball so we played that in the backyard as well. The hosts left out bird food to feed the birds, the home is also dog friendly. We traveled with three kids ages 9, 9 and 10, they loved all of the rooms and played hide and seek. Mike was very quick to respond and check in was a breeze. We are already talking about booking again next year on our way to Outer Banks. The hosts left out bird

Family reunion

We traveled from CA to attend a 75th Birthday party. Mike was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. The home is well stocked for cooking and had a lot of fun info about the surrounding area. We were happy to have stayed here over a hotel and would definitely stay here again!

The construction of this 1928 home is outstanding
almost 100 years later, every corner is still square! The house is comfortable, homey, and a beautiful example of the architecture of the 1920’s.
