Welcome to our newest luxury short-term rental in Historic Downtown Wilmington featuring outstanding work by local artists, The Art Loft on Princess!! Nestled in the heart of Historic Downtown Wilmington this 240-year-old property is a one-of-a-kind experience! You get to enjoy the energy of the Downtown area while taking advantage of the privacy of this second-floor property. Surrounded by outstanding coffee shops, restaurants, galleries, retail, performance halls, museums, nightclubs, and wedding venues and 2 blocks from the nationally recognized Wilmington River Walk. This is the perfect place to park your car and enjoy the ability to stroll to everything…Enjoy a long weekend or even a longer stay in The Art Loft on Princess. The building was originally completed in 1785 and served as the County Jail. The 24-inch thick walls, exposed beams, and high ceilings remain, though the remainder of the property is beautifully renovated with modern details and amenities to ensure your comfort. Unwind in Downtown Wilmington in this historic jewel. You'll find everything you need for a delightful stay. The property has a fully equipped kitchen, with granite countertops, modern appliances, a dining room, office space, a living room with a 65-inch TV, and a unique art installation on the ceiling. King-size master bedroom with fine linens and walk-in closet. Queen-sized second bedroom…both bedrooms with blackout draperies and 55-inch TVs. The full bath features a large walk-in shower, bidet toilet…plush towels, and robes. We almost forgot to mention the fully stocked coffee bar, with a Nespresso, Krups, Cuisinart Coffee Maker, French Press, Pour Over, and Electric Tea Kettle for those who like to enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee/tea in the morning.
Also included is a full laundry room washer/dryer, cable TV and internet streaming channels, and of course, wireless internet. Please note that there is a Ring doorbell/camera at the entry door off Princess Street and at the entry door of the unit. If you have any problems entering the unit please Ring us at any time and we will respond immediately. Please keep in mind that this beautiful property is located on the second floor of the building and there are no elevators. We can promise the climb is worth the effort! Whether you're exploring the city or simply relaxing indoors, this unique loft is the perfect home away from home. We loved it at The Art Loft and CANNOT wait to come back! The beds were the most comfortable, I do not believe my family has slept in that late EVER! Beautiful place!!

We had a wonderful time! Very well stoced, great location in the heart of downtown. The communication with our host is probably the best we’ve ever had and we’ve probably done 30+ vrbos we will definitely stay here again. You will not be disappointed.

Great stay in The Art Loft

The Art Loft is lovely with fun design throughout the place-our favorite part was talking about the painting on the ceiling. Very nice touches like robes and well-stocked coffee and tea for our stay. All communication was clear and helpful.The reviews discuss the loud music at night due to location being in the center of the night life-that is the case but the hosts provide ear plugs and noise machine. We had a great stay, Thanks!

This property is beautiful and convenient to everything in the Downtown Historic District. It was clean and well stocked with a parking deck conveniently behind the building. It can get loud at night because of the bars and restaurants in the area but the property managers provide ear plugs to use if needed. The beds were extremely comfortable and there were plenty of hangers in the closet to use. We are extremely pleased with the rental and will absolutely consider staying here again. The hosts were also very quick to respond to any questions.

Spectacular stay in the heart of Wilmington

Really nicely decorated, super comfortable and walkable to everywhere downtown. Every possible amenity. The only downside is that it’s across the street from a bar with outdoor live bands playing until 2 am. The music was fine, just hard to get to sleep.

The unit is very comfortable and well equipped. Plenty of towels and dishes etc. Beds are comfortable. Enjoyed the record player and vintage LPs. The primary bedroom is directly over a bar and across the street from a bar so there is a lot of noise on Friday and Saturday nights. There are sound machines and ear plugs to mitigate.The unit is very walkable to the river front, restaurants and shops.

Excellent work weekend!

We stayed at this amazing getaway for a work weekend to brainstorm ideas and plan for 2025. The loft had a great workspace and all the amenities we needed to get online. Kitchen was stocked with all the essentials and the coffee bar was amazing; all sorts of coffees and teas we could try! Very clean and the beds were so comfy! Will definitely book again when visiting Wilmington. Easy access to restaurants and shopping. Owners were very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

Absolute perfection

This was the most amazing stay! Every detail is covered, the property is absolutely gorgeous and sang to my artist soul and literal steps from anything you could want or need. The only negative is just that we couldn’t stay instead of having to leave. So so so wonderful!!! We will FOR SURE be staying at the Art Loft again!!

Fun and historical stay

The apartment was spotless and well-appointed. The location was fantastic. We enjoyed walking to restaurants and the river walk every night. As mentioned in earlier reviews, a bar below the main bedroom plays music late into the night. In the other bedroom, you couldn't hear the music. The owners provide a sound machine and earplugs to help with the noise.

Outstanding stay in gorgeous apartment

This was one of the nicest rental apartments I’ve ever stayed in, and I have stayed in many. The decor is stunning, attention to detail exacting, and the beds were super comfortable. It’s a very spacious and well lit apartment with pretty much everything you could need or want. The only issue was noise from the entertainment district, and even that was alleviated by the very thoughtful earplugs that were bedside in each room.

Wedding weekend

When I was searching for a location to stay for my daughter's wedding this one was perfectly centered for all her venues in Wilmington the listing was perfect and the amenities were as stated. Clean and very welcoming. As people saw it they said wow this accommodation are bougie! I heard that several times. Definitely a beautiful location and if you want to drink just go downstairs to the bar or if you want coffee or across the street. Definitely will return and we'll use this location again

Excellent property

Highly recommend this rental. The pictures accurately represent the space, but in person it is even better! The space is beautifully decorated, spotless, and has everything you might need. The location is perfect. So many restaurants, coffee shops, and stores at a short walk. Although the bar/music scene was very loud and vibrant on Saturday night, it didn’t bother my family (including 2 children ages 6 and 9). We would definitely rent again if we visit Wilmington. Thanks for hosting!

Great loft in a great location

Great loft. Easy checking in with very clear instructions from the host. You are located in the heart of downtown Wilmington but you are 10-15 mins from the beach in Wrightsville, and a few blocks from river walk. We came with our 1 year old so it wasn’t difficult for us to manage. They host was able to provide a pack and play as well as a high chair! Hosts are upfront about this which is the noise. The loft is right around the corner from a bar that has a live band every night of the weekend so wasn’t ideal but we managed and host had ear plugs and a sound machine that we used for the night. Great hosts. Located near all the necessary sites for your travel!
