Stay at boothwyn

We were in town for a wedding and had some last minute changes and the host was very accommodating to them. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet! The place itself was nice, modern, and clean.

Nice place

Apartment was very clean and nicely furnished/decorated. Beds were very comfortable, and there was plenty of storage space. One bed is in an open upstairs area that you walk through to get to other bedroom (not an issue for us). Quiet, safe neighborhood. Had to reach out to Vrbo for access instructions on day of arrival, but actual access was simple. Driveway parking was convenient. Not sure if we had access to the advertised pool, though we didn’t have time to use it. Would have needed more towels if we had stayed longer. There were price tags on a few items which was a little odd but not a big deal. Overall, very good stay and would recommend.

Almost great

Perfect location for a quiet get away. Close to everything, but very quiet neighborhood. Kitchen had all of the necessities. Bedding was great-clean and comfortable. Only drawbacks were hot water and drainage in shower and removing items from previous guest. It would have been nice to know that we were walking through one bedroom to get to the primary bedroom. So front bedroom has limited privacy

Some things need buttoned up

I feel bad leaving not a 5 star, however there were several issues that individually were not all terrible, but added up they became frustrating. First was misinformation about the number of stairs to access the residence and bedrooms. All the bedrooms are on a second floor, and we were told there were only 6 stairs. Which was already a stretch for my aging mother who just had hip replacement surgery. Then when we arrived, every room in the rental had a Febreze plug in in it, and it REEKED of fakey lemony chemicals, which I personally can't stand. I had to gather them into a bag and put them into the laundry area, and leave the doors open and open an upstairs window until it got dark to get some fresh, non-chemical air into the house. Then there were dead bugs and dirt and dust on the first floor floors, and crumbs still on a placemat on the table. Then the shower would not drain so you end up standing in dirty water for the second half of your shower. Then in the morning we discovered that the Keurig had a used pod still in it, and was broken and sprayed grinds out of the pod and down into your coffee. My sister had to clean it out to use it in the first place, only to discover that the Keurig was not working properly anyway and spits a lot of grinds into the coffee. The walls of the residence were dirty/damaged. On the other hand the beds were comfortable and nicely made, and in other ways it appeared that the host had taken time and care to put together a nice property.
