Your cozy getaway awaits in East Freedom at this tranquil house. With 3 bedrooms including 2 queen beds and 1 futon, guests will have plenty of space to relax. The bathroom features a deep bathtub for a soothing soak after a day of exploring. Enjoy the convenience of amenities like a washing machine, heating, WiFi, AC, and more. It's easy to see why you'll be able to unwind at Country Comfort. Large yard and a small and large fire pit and grill. This unit is the main house unit with private entrance. You have the whole unit unit to yourself. There is a second floor unit and there is a small unit out front where the owner lives in the summer. Close to Wal Mart, gas stations, markets and right off Highway 99. Close to Gulf Courses, Raystown Lake and Blue Knob Ski Resort. Like Trains? Take a ride on the Hollidaysburg Train and visit the Train memorial building in Altoona.

The kitchen was fully equipped. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom had plenty of super-soft towels. Our host was very friendly and helpful. Overall it was an enjoyable stay!

Great spot to stay near Altoona

This apartment was perfect for visiting family in Altoona. Lots of space, very clean, and easily located right of I-99.

Great weekend stay

This was a great place to stay. Very close to freeway to go sightseeing. Very close to shopping and a couple restaurants. The kitchen was setup very nicely for our our cooking. The property manager was very polite and helpful in answering any and all question I had before during and after the stay.

Great stay

Great stay. Had one minor hiccup with the facility but the host was extremely responsive and arrived quickly to remedy the situation. Host was also very helpful and offered great suggestions on the area. Would gladly stay here again and recommend to everyone.

Nice convenient place.

Property manager was very helpful. We planned on an early arrival but we were held up before we could depart for our trip. We would definitely stay here again. Very easy on and off Rte 99.

Quiet Pit Stop

We just stayed overnight to break up our trip to see family. My husband said they had the best towels out of every place we've stayed. And the hot cocoas were a nice touch.

The place was clean, It would help to keep the ceiling fans dusted, get rid of the mildewed smell, spray for the spider webs, this helps for guests with sinus and allergy issues. It would be nice to have televisions in the bedrooms for couples and guests to unwind while laying down.

Great little getaway

This was the perfect place to stay if you want to be close to everything but have some great Mountain View! The host was very understanding when I had some unexpected news on my travel accommodating my stay and having the house ready a day early and on a holiday. This will definitely be a place I stay again when I’m in need.

Country Comfort Stay

The Host was so accommodating for my MIL, assisting with the special wheelchair entry into the unit. Great communication. Perfect space for visiting with our large family. Very clean, full kitchen and coffee bar!

Spotless

We were so glad to find something close so we could visit family in Roaring Springs and Altoona. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. Especially loved all of the Keurig choices. Was not able to check in online, but the owner was so helpful! Would definitely stay again.

Great location, clean, updated

We came to visit friends and family in the region for Christmas. This location is amazing - it’s minutes from Walmart, gas stations, and markets. It is so close to the highway, which lets you travel to neighboring towns very quickly. The furniture is really nice, it is very clean, and the bathroom and kitchen are updated. We are so glad we found this place, and we’re looking forward to staying again soon!

Clean, pet friendly, easy to find. There were no lights when you first walked in (owner had night lights lining the hallway but they did not work, maybe the batteries were dead?) so we had to use our phone flash light to see coming in after dark. Other than that it was a great stay. The owner was very nice and check in/out process was easy!

Quick Trip

We enjoyed our stay. The host was very responsive to all of our questions and was very prompt with anything we needed! On VRBO it’s listed as entire home but there were people staying above us. They never bothered us but just something to consider. The home is a weird layout but the host has but lots of touches on it to make it very homey! It is perfectly situated outside of society but close enough to get in some shopping and sight seeing! The coffee selection was an incredible touch!

Property was fine for what i needed. People that live upstairs were very loud though. Proximity to the busy made it very loud and the house was hot. Couldn't turn on the air as thermostat was locked. Overall good though

Hello, this is Teresa the host of country comfort. I have owned this property for 40 years. I raised my three daughters here and there are many memories. I love Sharing the space with traveling people Since my daughters have moved on. Thank you for considering Country Comfort.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

When I got married in 1984 I moved into this home and rented it. 2 years later the landlord was selling it so my husband at the time and I purchased it.
Since then I have been here in this neighborhood for 40 years. Raised my 3daughters here. There are A few neighbors, but everybody pretty much keeps to themselves unless someone needs help with something. It is a quiet neighborhood.. Enjoy your stay.

I believe the country setting with views here is cozy and comfortable. It’s very relaxing to sit on the back porch or to take a stroll through the yard.
