Great location as pictured. Perfect for families with younger kids. We enjoyed the Mountain View and warming up by the fire. The kids loved the toys and treehouses.

Perfect for a family with children

This house is wonderful and has everything to keep small children entertained. The house was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything you may need. It’s close to the mountain and the town.

Awesome for kids!

My kids, 14 & 13 loved this place even though it was kind of for younger kids. My youngest actually picked this place (for his 13th bday trip to AK), and he loved the sleep cubbies, climbing wall and hanging chairs. I HIGHLY recommend staying! Girdwood is the perfect launching off place for so many activities. 10/10.

Great Girdwood House

We spent two nights in June as part of an Alaska roadtrip. The house is lovely, clean and very well appointed. Appreciated the coffee (Keurig and also a whole-bean Cuisinart - though we couldn’t get the grinder to work); nice fluffy towels and shampoo, etc.; TV with streaming services. The only thing lacking is porch furniture (but the photos never promised that). Highly recommend the house.

Ski Alyeska stay

Fantastic spot close to the mountain. The house has a really nice kitchen, well equipped for all the cooking. The open layout was perfect for hanging out. Overall higher end rental feel. Only thing that was a little difficult was the bed sizes in a couple rooms - we were a group of 6 guys, all around 6ft.

Beautiful home

Juat a short walk or drive to Alyeska resort. Home is spacious and beautiful. We had a small group but home can accommodate a large feoup easily. There are 2 of the bunkbeds that would be more for kids the rest would work for adults. Only thing we noticed the back deck needs some reinforcing and maybe remove gates on stairs for those that dont have small children in the group. Otherwise loved the home with mountain views.

Great Weekend with Kids

We had a great weekend at this kid-centered rental. The house comfortably fit our extended family - 6 adults and 4 children ages 1.5 to 8. The house is very family-friendly with forts in 3 of the 4 bedrooms. My son screamed when we arrive and told us it was the best place ever. There is only one bedroom that's not kid-centered, it has a comfy king bed and is at the top of the house. The other three rooms (one on the top floor, one on the main floor, and one on the bottom floor) are kid heaven - ladders to lofted beds, climbing walls, hammocks, etc. There is also a foosball table, an air hockey table, and kid toys (legos, games, puzzles, etc.) The kitchen had all necessary appliances and accessories, there was plenty of seating between stools at the counter and the dining table, the house was clean, the fireplace was easy to use and cozy, the linens/beds were comfortable, and there's a fun play-set in the front yard. Plenty of parking for at least 3 cars in the driveway. Not walkable to the ski hill but it is located in a quiet cul-de-sac. This is not the house I'd select for a ladies' weekend but we're already planning to return with our kids next year.
