New to VRBO but 7 yrs history elsewhere. Also new to being offered or âpackagedâ together for group, small event or retreat type setting; instead of individual cabin rentals. More photos and videos on FB page for The Water and Rest. The Water and Rest is 4 separate water/stream/creek front cabins to be booked together; as a private mini retreat.
The Suite (just added11/25) is the largest of the cabins with open concept for a central âhosting siteâ of all the cabins. This one is large enough to eat or be together as a group. The Suite is 2 queen bedrooms, 1 large, modern, walk-in shower bathroom. The Cabin is 2 queen bedrooms 1 Bath and 1 sleeper sofa. The Loft is 2 queen beds. The Studio is 1 queen bed and single sleeper pull out.
EACH having their own kitchen with all the easentials, grill, bathroom, board games/cards, porch, fire pit, picnic table, and lawn area with private deck; FOR EACH. Hammock or swings amongst the property layout
An additional âcommons areaâ offers swings, picnic table, horseshoes, and a larger fire pit than at each cabin.
All parking is on-site and free. Laundry room hosts 2 full size washer/dryers. Free use with your stay.
Each home is stocked with the essentials. Fiber supplied WiFi. City Water. Smart TV in each. Brew AND K-cup coffee makers.

âThe Water and Restâ back story: I purchased the property in 2018 because I fell in love with my vision of what I could turn it into while being close to my Dad; whom was diagnosed with Alzheimerâs during the fall of 2017.
So, I needed to leave Nashville (home) and chose this spot for my life reset in multiple ways. Something about this place helped me put uncontrollable worries aside. So, my vision of something different that could be a cool, private mini Smoky Mountain resort is coming to fruition. It has quite a bit more to go but Iâm sharing what is available when family and friends arenât in town with me.
When complete, the âsemi-pet friendlyâ property will consist of The Studio (1 bed), The Loft (2 beds), The Cabin (2 beds and a sleeper sofa) and eventually...... The Suite (2 beds, sleeper sofa with handicap access), all with their own kitchen and bath. The Main (4 beds, 3 bath) which I currently live in, will also be available at some point.
Its a unique retreat/ resort spot in the Great Smoky Mountains for groups or families/friends wanting to travel and stay together, maintaining their own privacy.
Iâm excited to share my property with amazing and extremely interesting, successful people from around the world; including friends. The majority of my guests seem to share the same appreciation for nature and simplicity without compromising quality and comfort. My places are semi- pet friendly to non-aggressive, non-shedding canines. Sweet doggies like to go on vacation too! I provide comfy spaces and you make the memories!
