We understand that guests value a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment when staying in a vacation rental. Regarding the wasps, we were not made aware of this issue during this guest’s stay. Had we been notified, we would have been happy to respond and investigate while the guests were in the property. Since receiving this feedback, the owner has scheduled professional pest control to inspect and address the issue. We also understand the concerns regarding personal belongings and the overall presentation of the home. We will be reviewing these comments with the owner to ensure the property is appropriately maintained and presented for future guests. This is a privately owned vacation property, and as is sometimes the case with owner-used homes, guests may encounter personal items and belongings that remain in designated areas of the property. That said, guest-ready spaces should always be appropriately prepared, and we are reviewing the concerns raised regarding storage, personal belongings, and the condition in which certain areas were presented. Cleanliness is a fundamental part of the guest experience. We take concerns regarding dust, cobwebs, bathroom conditions, laundry areas, and the presentation of amenities seriously and have reinforced the importance of thorough preparation and attention to detail between stays. The primary bedroom’s layout is also worth clarifying for future guests. The bedroom opens toward the covered porch through glass French doors, and the home does not currently have traditional window coverings in that area. Guests who place a high priority on complete bedroom privacy should take this layout into consideration when choosing the property. This home offers a terrific location—close to town and trails while still providing privacy. Guests will find the space charming, and will benefit from updates to the outdoor furnishings. The home contains personal touches, which create a lived-in feel. Any construction that was previously nearby has since been completed, ensuring a quieter stay.
