Cozy and comfortable cabin. Great location for being close to attractions and hiking, yet far enough for peace. Bed is a little too soft, but no other complaints!
Stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting family in the area. Cabin was modern and well appointed. Perfectly clean. Location was secluded but was still convenient to town and to GSMNP.
We Loved our stay here. We were in the area for our daughterâs wedding and this place was super convenient. The cabin was super clean and nicely decorated. My only regret was that we werenât able to spend more time there and enjoy the amenities such as the beautiful creek, which you can hear babbling in the master bedroom with a window cracked just slightly! Talk about relaxing? We would definitely love to stay again sometime on a more leisurely trip. The host, Jo, was very helpful and always responded to any message within a minute or two! P. S. Good luck finding the hidden dollar!!
We had a wonderful 11 days at In The Shadows. Our host, Jo, was very helpful, responded to any issues we had immediately and was always pleasant and genuinely caring. The cabin is beautiful, close to everything we wanted to do, and the bed is amazing. We slept so well the whole time we were there. We would definitely stay here again if in the area and highly recommend any cabin Jo manages. P.S. Read the book in the cabin with reviews from previous guests. In April 2025 a guest noted they like to hide a 1 bill everywhere they stay and suggest if you don't find it to hide another one. The first night, i found a 1 bill but had not yet read the book. 2 days later, i found a 2nd 1 then later in the day was reading the book in the cabin and discovered the reason for the hidden dollars. We re-hid the first two dollars in the same place we found them and then hid another so now there are at least 3 1 bills hidden in the cabin. It was fun and hopefully will continue with future guests. I felt like a kid on an Easter egg hunt although we never found any more! Please remember to be respectful of Jo and the cabin in your search!
