Basswood Pond State Forest is an easy walk from the home, or take a quick drive to nearby Cooperstown (20 mins) or Oneonta (30 mins), where visitors enjoy to museums

Burlington Flats is a quaint town full of nature conveniently located between Cooperstown and Oneonta.

Head into Cooperstown for a scenic lunch by the lake or a trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame. There are several restaurants/cafes spanning various cuisines including Italian, American, Diner Fair and more! Also, there is a well stocked Price Chopper right in the center of town.

Oneonta has all the fixings of a college town including hip restaurants, bookstores, cafes and shopping.

In either direction, you can find several Breweries and Vineyards to have a relaxing drink and enjoy the scenery. From the well known Ommegang to Rustic Ridge (just a short bike ride or drive away), you have options!
