Great location and perfect for families

This is the second year that we stayed at Menehune Shores but the first time at this unit. Malinee was great to work with. She answered all of our questions and provided all check-in info before our stay. We love this complex because of the location: not far from the airport and close to activities around the island. The complex is family friendly, quiet, and safe. The unit had everything we needed: beach towels, chairs, and kitchen supplies. It is located next to the Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary and there is a protected cove where the turtles like to hang out on shore in the evenings. The best feature of the complex is the top floor. It is a deck with grills and picnic tables and provides a 360 degree view of Maui. Great for watching whales and the gorgeous sunsets. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again. Mahalo

Lovely Maui location

Really enjoyed our stay in Kihei at the Menehune Shores Condos. Our place was clean and a great location to the beach and restaurants downtown. It's a corner unit on the second floor so not the best view of the ocean but certainly still one with a partial view which we enjoyed. The amenities were good, beach chairs and towels available as well as kitchen essentials such as paper towels and dish soap. Would definitely stay here again, our family enjoyed it.

We loved the short walk to the beach. Lots of shells on this beach. Kept the kids busy for hours. Recommend water shoes!

Hawaii in December

The condo was clean and nice enough. The property management was super helpful and a real pleasure to work with. The location of the property was ok. Easy access to everything. We had a good time. My only wish was that our view of the ocean would have been better. This is a corner unit that is sorta off to the side so the view wasn't as good as it could have been. I have only one complaint, the condo was right on S Kihei St. and was very loud with the windows open.

Nice unit

Very comfortable unit with great views of the ocean. The only issue was the traffic noise since this unit is the closest to the road (end unit). Overall, it was great!

Great Location- Dated Accommodations

The location is amazing; it’s very walkable, great beach, great roof top view, seeing the turtles daily in the protected area was amazing! The accommodations are a little dated and uncomfortable. We lost water access for 4 hours the first morning we were there. The manager was helpful, but did not see the same sense of importance on the issue that we did. There were a lot of guests that got partial refunds from their VRBO or Air B&B bookings, we were not one of those as it was not offered. She offered a temp use of a sort of clean unit across the street for restroom access. The road noise was a lot, between that and the comfort of the beds; sleeping was difficult. The view off the balcony is amazing! But the comfort of enjoying that is ruined by the old air conditioning unit that makes the balcony very hot and noisy when running and for some time after. The rules of the management company or the building (not sure which) seemed a bit much. There are quiet hours for laundry, and notes about plumbing, use of air conditioning, etc. I understand that there is a balance in protecting and using someone else’s property but it’s also a service provided that we are paying for. The notes/reminders all over the inside of the condo are some what condescending. The windows are very old and the cooling unit runs ice cold and doesn’t regulate the temp at night well. Overall, it was an ok stay, but not a unit that we will use again.

Great host

Family had a great visit at the property. Great communication with management. Amazing Indian food at the restaurant on the property. Only downside is the street noise (property is on the end of the complex next to the two lane road) but after a night or two we got use to it.

This was a wonderful property for our holiday vacation. It was clean and roomy for our family. The rooftop is a great area for watching beautiful Maui sunsets. The property management was helpful and quick to respond to questions that came up. I highly recommend this condo.

Beautiful view but noisy

The property is well kept, a very well equipped kitchen and centrally located. It has a beautiful side view of the ocean but it is not ocean front. It is located on a main road and the building being built the way that it is with the apartment at the very edge, this apartment is subject to all the noise from the traffic. The balcony has a beautiful side view of the ocean but the car and motorcycle noise is such that you cannot even hear the ocean when you are trying to enjoy peace and quiet at the balcony. This is a real shame because the side view is beautiful. The traffic noise begins as early as 5 am. We made it work and stayed for 6 days and basically spent most days outside the property. The Indian restaurant on property has great food and beautiful sunset views.

Wonderful beach out front and to the side; turtles in fish pond out front - great location; beautiful sunset from the balcony. Kitchen has almost all conceivable equipment. The condo is spacious. Separate air conditioning in each room - a plus!

Nice stay in Kihei

We enjoyed our stay here, it was nice. It was right on the beach and easy to access. The condo was clean and nicely decorated and comfortable. The laundry facilities in unit were great. The AC worked great. All in all, we liked it here and enjoyed our stay, we would stay here again.
