Description: Situé à 65 miles à l'est de Sacramento, et 75 miles à l'ouest de Tahoe, dans le Nord de la Sierra Foothills, notre spacieuse et confortable Timber Lodge est maintenant disponible à la location toute l'année. Nous sommes situés sur cinq hectares arborés à quelques minutes du centre historique de Nevada City, et le spectaculaire fleuve Yuba.

(S'il vous plaît noter que le prix de base est pour un maximum de 8 personnes arrivant. Les personnes supplémentaires, jusqu'à 14, seront facturés 20 $ / nt ch. + Taxes.)

Le pavillon principal dispose de trois chambres et deux salles de bains et demi. (Pour l'espace ajouté ne oubliez pas de vérifier les deux autres cabines). Le grand loft dispose d'un futon double, futon et un lit double ainsi que salon. Le grand maître suite a salle de bain complète avec deux lavabos, un lit king, lit de jour jumeaux et un lit double régulière. La deuxième chambre a un lit double et un lit simple, et la troisième chambre a un lit queen size. Ces deux dernières chambres partagent une salle de bain. Il ya aussi un lit gigogne dans la tanière, ainsi que d'un poêle à bois.

La grande cuisine de campagne dispose de tout ce dont vous avez besoin et beaucoup d'espace pour fixer un repas gastronomique pour une grande foule, ou pour plusieurs familles à cuisiner ensemble. La grande table à manger, fabriqué à partir de la muqueuse de l'acajou d'une vieille voiture de la boîte, peut accueillir dix, avec des sièges supplémentaires pour les trois au comptoir de la cuisine.

La grande salle a un poêle à bois, canapés et des chaises amplement. Il ya beaucoup de livres à lire et jeux à jouer. Il existe de nombreuses pièces d'art éclectique tout au long de la loge, et un piano à queue dans la grande salle. Guitare disponible pour le joueur expérimenté.

Le bain à remous attend au large de la enveloppant couvert porche arrière. Là, vous pouvez passer le temps en jouant pingpong, ou tout simplement ralax lire un livre, ou regarder le cerf ou de dinde familiale occasionnelle, promenant sur la propriété. Vous pouvez même voir une de l'ours errent famille en pour découvrir qui a été en train de dormir dans leur lit! Le Timber Lodge est disponible toute l'année.

Country retreat

Forget all your worries as you stay at Papa Bear Retreat. Perfect for large groups, plenty of space for sleeping and hanging out. Beautiful property, hang outside and play cornhole with the kids.

Awsome log cabin

This place was perfect for a big group of friends to have a cozy winter vacation. Its just an hour to the ski slopes. Papa bear and Baby bear cabins share a driveway and are right next to eachother, and we rented both for our big group. It was awsome having the hot tubs, a big porch, fireplace, and lots and lots of room.

Great place once you find it!

This is a beautiful big country cabin and the theme holds up through out. Only caution is it can be hard to find at night and there is no cell service in the area. Know exactly where you are going before you go. Also, make sure you see all fees before you book. I would stay there again if I had a larger group.

The upscale log construction and antique furnishings of this cabin were quite comforting for us. We had several week long stays. Besides the quiet wooded atmosphere a few minutes from town, we had functional space for sleeping, cooking, eating, reading and videos. It is a place to get some office work done in peace away from all the distractions- except for the many regional ammenities beakoning outside. We felt a part of this unique mountain neighborhood and yet had our privacy to unwind.

Beautiful house and area

The house and property are beautiful and perfectly located. Deer and wild turkeys came right to the house. The Yuba river is at the end of the road you drive up on, you just gotta keep driving even when you hit the narrow dirt road. We went for Grass Valley but fell in love with Nevada City. Papa Bear was much bigger than we needed but we love space, and it had plenty of it. We got to sit on the backyard porch and watch the deer. You are in the deep woods, yet only about 3 miles away or so from Nevada City. It was perfect.

Beautiful Lodge

We are 3 sisters and our husbands who stayed at this wonderful “lodge”.The place was perfect! We are all in our 70s, so having three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths downstairs was a big plus. The lodge is very well equipped; plenty of towels, extra blankets, and everything you could need in the kitchen. My sisters and I all needed cookie sheets for something we were cooking, and we were surprised to find three there. Most of the places we’ve stayed in have just the minimum required throughout the house, so we were pleasantly surprised. The art work throughout the house is very eclectic, and everywhere we looked, we saw something new. Nevada City is very close, and it’s a really cute town to explore. We had a delicious lunch at The Crazy Horse Saloon and Grill. All in all it was a lovely and peaceful getaway with dozens of turkeys greeting us each morning. I hope we can return here every year.

Heaven in the Woods

This was the most memorable Christmas trip we have ever had, thanks to the cozy, comfortable, and lovely "Papa Bear" cabin - which is so much bigger than the photos make it look! The house is packed with everything we needed - kitchen items, robes (great for the hot tub), indoor and outdoor games, puzzles, books, shampoos, and soaps .... it was like staying at your best friend's lodge in the woods. The drive into downtown Nevada City is only 5-6 minutes, and the nearby hikes are spectacular! We were all so sad to leave. Dru and Rene answered any questions we had immediately and Dru came to our rescue several times with extra firewood and help with the heat. His kindness and friendliness really brought the spirit of Christmas right to our door :-)

Beautiful home and property. House is well maintained with needed supplies.

Great time was had by all. My two adult children, two grandchildren, and 97 yr old mother joined me for a relaxing getaway. Grandson loved the fishing. It is close to town and other amenities. Check out the other cabins if your party isn't large.

We would highly recommend this as a family retreat. Clean, well maintained could probably use a few updated mattresses but minor quibble! Furnishings are comfy and in great shape! Just loved it!! Already planning on next visit. Great spot for our dogs too. You can tell the place is well loved and cared for, and owners are great about responding!

This property was better than expected and was so beautiful. Family/friends stayed here for my daughter’s resent wedding. The rooms and Papa Bear cabin were perfect. Great decor, very peaceful, and quaint. Everyone loved rooms & their stay. Check in was easy. Would recommend to everyone.

Family Get-together

Though we were expecting a 'cabin', we were all amazed at how large it was -- particularly the main room with multiple seating areas and a wonderful big dining table. We were a party of 6 adults -- three brothers and their respective partners. The cold and sometimes rainy, hailing, snowy weather limited the fishing aspirations, so we spent more time indoors and enjoyed the main room for card games, tv watching and occasional napping. The wood stove was often used and the early morning heat from furnace etc, was most appreciated on our 35 degree mornings. All in all a good time!

Great getaway in Nevada City

We were very impressed with the setting and the home. A true vintage cabin in the woods!So cozy and homey and spacious. The bedrooms were perfect for our family and we loved the whole feel of the house. The wrap around deck was definitely a plus and a great place to sit out and relax and take in the peacefulness. We will definitive be back to stay again. The hosts were very easy to get a hold of and very responsive!

We were in "wow" when we walked in the door!

The large kitchen was perfect for a family Thanksgiving gathering! Cozy corners and extra large dining table made it perfect for everyone. The wood stove and all the books made you want to just sit and relax, but the wonderful setting and easy trails make you want to hike off some of that pie! Love to make this gathering place a regular stop.

Spacious Log Cabin

This house was beautiful inside and out. Big kitchen, huge living room, and lots of bedrooms. Only a 10 minute drive to town. We loved how cozy it was with all the wood. Our family had a great time here. Would definitely come back!

Wonderful Weekend Getaway

The grounds were beautiful and the home was clean, well stocked, roomy and comfortable. There was a great room for gathering as well as enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone.

We have lived in this wonderful community of Nevada City for over 30 years now, and find that our guests love the area as much as we do. Papa Bear's Lodge was our family home until our son graduated from college. We now live in town, right next to Rene's studio, just a short distance from the lodge and cabins. Our cabins reflect our love for the arts, and you'll find Rene's handmade pottery there too.

We stumbled upon the jewel of Nevada city in 1989 and, impressed with the local theater scene and the wholesome, friendly atmosphere, decided this was the place to live and raise our young son. In 2000 we moved to this wonderful property and our years of family time here. Our son is long grown and on his own, So some time ago we decided to move from Papa Bear's Lodge to our home in town, which is conveniently located next to Rene's pottery studio. We love the friendly people, history, culture and ambiance of Nevada City, as well as the beauty of the surrounding foothills. We consider it a gift to be able to share our lodge and cabins with visitors to this area.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Though you feel like you are out in the woods, you are only 2.5 miles from the energy of downtown, with it's many shops, live theater, fine dining, city park and pool, and night life. Go the other direction, and you are just 3.5 miles from our magical Yuba River with its huge boulders and big swimming holes as well as fine hiking paths. If you want to just stay cozy in one of the log cabins, you will not be disappointed. The feeling there is so serene, even we feel like we are on vacation when we are there. In the summer time, the children's camps are in session all around Lake Vera. We are located next to Camp Augusta.
