Had a great stay. House had all we needed and is a in a great location on the lake. Appreciated the use of the boat lift and all the chairs down on the dock. Had a lot of fun with all the games. Thanks for having us!

Amazing house with great view and the boat dock was awesome to hang out at. Just so you are aware, the downstairs was dirty we had to vacuum floor and wipe down the bathroom. But other than that an amazing week.

Awesome time at Lake Gaston

Our sons and their families joined us for a family vacation at beautiful Lake Gaston. The house was awesome. Each family had their own bedroom area. The kitchen was well supplied. The outside area was awesome. Ate some meals on the screened in porch. The views of the lake from the back of the house were amazing. We all enjoyed the time spent down at the dock. The kids, ages 4-12, especially enjoyed the floating raft. There were quite a few (77) steps from the house to the dock, but definitely worth climbing. Enjoyed the quietness of the area. Not a lot of traffic or noise from neighbors. Would definitely return for another visit.

Beautiful home in perfect location

We absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous house. There were 10 of us (plus 2 more day-trippers) ranging in age from 15-80 and we all had the best time. The house has ample space for everyone to spread out, there are tons of activities for everyone to enjoy (foosball, Pac-man, kayaks, swings, hot tub...and more!) Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook all weekend. The back screened in deck overlooking the lake is amazing. Just to note: a little challenging for someone with mobility issues as there are a bunch of steps to the dock and a skinny spiral staircase to the basement area...but that didn't stop any of us from having a wonderful time. The owners were great to work with too, as we had a couple of minor things that were addressed immediately. Highly recommend this rental and we hope to enjoy it again soon!

Great location

Our family group really enjoyed their stay here. Great screened porch. Sunset and moon set photo ops over the lake. Kids loved the rec room downstairs. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware, etc. It really had something for everyone. Proximity to Rosemeont vineyards was awesome.

Great Trip

Our first family Thanksgiving trip was a success. I don’t think we have ever stayed at a place that had such a well stocked kitchen. Every thing we could have possibly needed for fixing a huge meal was there and more.There were so many things to keep everyone busy. Our grandson was glued to the video game! The Perfect Family Holiday Get-Away

Beautifully situated on Lake Gaston, the home was well-suited for a family ranging in age from 2 to 78. Convenient kitchen, two fireplaces, plenty of TVs and games, and a great hot tub and firepit. Perfect for those chilly winter nights! Highly recommended. Note: linens & towels are not provided and the only interior staircase is spiral.

Amazing family vacation!

We had a lovely week with our teens and grandparents. There was plenty to keep all ages entertained and we really enjoyed all that this beautiful house has to offer. The views are incredible and we were able to fish off of the dock. Our first trip to LKG and we will be back!

Friends & Family Vacation

We stayed here in August 2024. We had 6 adults, 3 teens, and 2 younger kids. There was ample room to spread out or hang out together. The bedrooms were all a nice sizes and no complaints about the beds. The TVs were easy to use with a wide variety to watch. The younger kids brought a playstation and had no issues. The water pressure in showers were great and having 3 for the 11 of us worked out perfect! All of the amenities were accurate in the description. There was a lot of random household items that we used, which saved a bit on what we needed to buy for the house. I find most Air B&B houses have a bare minimum, or nothing to get you started that 1st day before you get out to the store. This was a great family home, looking out for the guests! The yard is small, the pictures dont really show the dimensions of the out back landscapes from the back porch area down to the dock. The yard is absoluetly gorgeous and well maintained. I thought there was more space in the yard for the kids to play because in the pictures it looks that way.. However, we still had fun outside. The hot tub is positioned in a beautiful spot with breathtaking views. The gazebo has timer lights that come on at dusk and makes the view and ambience even better. There are also solar lights leading down the steps to the dock. Not going to lie, steps are brutal. I think there's something like 77 steps. Going down isnt bad but coming up... oh geeze, dont try numerous times in 1 day unless your a kid. Lol.

Great stay

This is our second time to rent this property. The house is well maintained and checkin and check out process are smooth. Location and view are great. The only thing is the AC is not power enough to cool down the room temperature when we had 100 degrees outside. The porch would be pretty hot in the afternoon since there is no AC.

A piece of heaven

Breath taking! The place had multiple areas that could accommodate a large group of people ( 10+) to gather in one space, to eat and play. Many areas indoors to sit and relax. Kitchen and large grill made preparing family meals easy and enjoyable! Outdoors there are multiple areas to sit in the sun, shade, screened in, or in even in the rain! The dock area/boat house requires many, many steps to reach, but so worth it! Just remember to bring everything down that you may need or want to enjoy swimming, fishing, relaxing, kayaking, etc!

Great place to stay with friends!

We enjoyed our stay here! They have everything you need to enjoy the lake and the view is breathtaking. Communication with the owners was quick. We had a great time lying out in the sun on the boathouse, kayaking, and hot tubbing. One day it rained all day and we enjoyed sitting out on the porch drinking coffee and watching TV. The game room was a lot of fun, too! We played basketball, Pac-Man, and foosball. We meant to set up ping pong but never got around to it. There was always something to do so you don’t need to go anywhere. The kitchen is well-stocked which we appreciated. Loved having meals together. I would definitely recommend this place.

Family Vacation

The location was great and view of the lake from the screened in porch was gorgeous. We spent most of our time on the porch. The main floor is updated and very comfortable. The lower level is a bit dated and in need of some TLC, however, it met our needs for bedrooms/sleeping area. The outside offered many areas to enjoy the view. We enjoyed the firepit and hot tub. The foam float at the dock was a nice bonus for hanging out on the lake. We had some maintenance issues at the start of the vacation but the owner was very responsive and resolved them promptly. Overall, we had great time and would stay again.

Great Family Time

We stayed here with my wife and two kids along with my in-laws and we had a great time. The view is gorgeous whether it’s first thing in the morning or watching the sun set! The dock had several kayaks along with a big floating raft which made for relaxing times on the water. Also, there’s a tv in the screened in deck, so we enjoyed an evening movie! Other than than, we had a ton of quality family time and made some great memories. Would definitely recommend!

Awesome family vacation

This place was amazing and we all enjoyed everything about it. When we walked in it smelled so fresh and clean we immediately felt at home. The views from the back were beautiful all day long and we were lucky enough to witness the meteor shower one night from the upstairs deck. This home has so much built in entertainment, never a dull moment. We rented a pontoon and brought 2 of our own jetskis.

Beautiful property

Our family had a wonderful time at the Flip Flop house. The owners provide a lot of extras, like outdoor seating, kayaks, and floats. The fishing from the dock was a plus for the children who each were able to catch something. There were a couple of issues we discovered after our arrival, the owners were quick to respond and notify us when they would be resolved. The steps to the dock was quite a lot for some of us “seniors” but it provided us with some cardio for the week.

Fantastic family fun!

We loved the flip flop inn! Plenty of room for everyone and such a fun game room. Everyone had a blast. Lots of steps to the dock kept us from gaining weight from all of the food and drink! Shady shack and rosemont winery nearby were added extra bonuses.
