Tides and winds can be unpredictable at all times, so please do not leave any chairs and umbrellas unattended. Since we're right on the beach, high winds are a regular occurrence.
Please be sure to familiarize yourself with Norfolk’s Beach Rules for umbrellas, tents, and canopies. We have found they are different than a lot of places we ourselves have traveled.
We have a stocked beach closet with beach chairs, umbrellas and sand toys. However, if these items are stolen and/or broken, we cannot guarantee their availability.
🚭 NO SMOKING - We are a completely smoke-free property
🐞 Wildlife/Bugs Expect to encounter wildlife. We often see dolphins in the water and bald eagles or other falcons flying around. There will be bugs! A cost of being so close to water. Consider packing bug spray, and please keep all doors/windows to the house closed when not in use.
🩴 Dunes & Front Yard Please be aware that sharp spike sand spurs may be present in grassy beach areas, including the dunes and the front yard. We recommend wearing shoes when walking in the front yard and avoiding the dunes entirely to ensure a comfortable stay.
🚙 Parking The house has 4 parking spaces that are shared between both units. Your reservation will come with 2 parking spaces.
🦮 Pet limitations We are unable to accommodate animals other than dogs at this time. • any and all pets must be pre-approved by owner prior to booking • Dogs only - Maximum of 2 allowed (there is a fee per dog) • must be housebroken and up-to-date on vaccines • permitted on furniture only if covered • may not be left unattended at any time • must comply with all local leash laws. We are a dog friendly property and we have a phenomenal cleaning team but they are human so there is a possibility for human error, if there is an issue during your stay let us know and we will try to address it! Since we are dog friendly, those with severe allergies will need to consider our home’s suitability for their unique needs.
Quiet Hours 🤫 10PM-7AM: You MUST keep noise to a minimum from 10pm to 7am. This is a city requirement. Noise can travel easily, and we are in regular communication with neighbors. We request guests be respectful of the neighbors and quiet hours.
