It was an okay stay for 8. Good location for quiet beach and easy walk to Alys Beach. House provided plenty of bed space and dining space for everyone. House quality was acceptable but declining. A number of broken chairs and other little items like shades. Double doors to porches would blow open all the time unless they were latched. Sounds easy till you have a lot of people going in and out. The online listing contained a massive false statement or it was just a lie or just laziness. It said construction on adjacent home was done but it wasn’t even close to being true. At 7 am workers were out hammering. A lot of people will not rent knowing something like that. Note that while pet friendly dog limit is 25 lbs, not much of a pet but I couldn’t find that limit outlined on the website. The downstairs bedroom which has the biggest bathroom is the access point for the pool and beach. If you have adults staying in there it might be rather annoying if everyone else has to go through for pool and beach access. There are not enough trashcans outside to handle the trash created inside. All week we had trash bags lining up to go out but no where to take them. If we had maxed out the number of people staying it would have been a disaster. Finally a bike was stolen the last night. Presumably it was left unlocked but know one actually knows. Somehow management has found an 820 beach cruiser bike to charge for replacement. This house is just okay.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the location, quiet beach access, and proximity to Alys Beach, and that the home accommodated your group well. We’re sorry to hear about the concerns during your stay. We were not made aware of any broken chairs, shades, or maintenance items while you were at the property, but we will inspect everything and address any issues immediately. We always encourage guests to contact us during their stay so we can help in real time. Regarding the porch doors, these are hurricane-rated multi-lock doors that must be fully shut and latched to remain secure. We provide instructions for operation, and had we been contacted, we would have gladly assisted. We also apologize about the nearby construction. The adjacent project we were previously monitoring was completed over a year ago, so it sounds like a new project may have started nearby. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and will update the listing accordingly. The home has two large outdoor trash containers with pickup twice weekly, along with concierge trash pickup on departure day. Had we been notified, we would have arranged additional same-day pickup. We’re also sorry about the missing bike. Our rental information notes that bikes should remain locked when not in use. The replacement charge reflected the cost of replacing the same bike model, along with the lock and basket. We appreciate the feedback as it helps us improve the guest experience.
