You won't have to skip modern luxuries to come and experience life in the forest. Just 5 minutes from the center of Monteverde, and less than 15 minutes from Santa Elena, this is the perfect home for the many activities close by, or for a relaxing escape. Spread out and enjoy the detailed handmade artwork filling this unique home. It offers a large kitchen with everything you need to prepare simple meals, and is filled with tranquil sights and sounds of the surrounding tropical cloud forest.
The space
Downstairs bedroom with queen bed and upstairs with four singles will sleep three couples, or small family comfortably. Also perfect for one or two people who want privacy and peace. We do not cater to large groups - max guests is 8.

Big glass windows in every room will give you the feeling you are outside in the forest.

Melvin’s House is only a 5 to 10 minute drive to anything you would want to see or do in Monteverde.
Other things to note
At home you may see a coati or a monkey playing at the top of the trees. You may also spot a fox if you are lucky. They are generally non-agressive - just smile and leave them alone. Do NOT put out food for the animals!!
