Danielle, the host, was fantastic—her communication was quick, her advice was spot‑on, and she went above and beyond in helping us organize guides and activities. If you stay here, you should definitely trust her recommendations; they made our trip even better.The house itself was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need for a wonderful experience in Monteverde. The history of the home adds an extra layer of charm, and the location couldn’t be more perfect. Nestled in a beautiful setting, it offers both tranquility and easy access to everything the area has to offer.Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy the best of Monteverde.

It was so clean! The host was very sweet and even left us homemade banana bread. They were very responsive to us when we had a problem with a door. The beds have very firm mattresses.

Peace & Quiet in the hills

If you want to get away from the cars and city, stay here. We were next to the stream and rain forest, on top of a hill. All natural, bugs and all. The house has everything you’d need though - modern appliance and supplies. They’re on a septic system so hot water might be issue temporarily. Just call the host. The windows don’t have screens, so I had to keep them closed the whole time. House is rustic and really does resemble a mountain cabin.

Family time in the cloud forest

Great home for family of 5. Lots of room, nice kitchen (no dishwasher), nice bathrooms. Living room and porch lets you look right into forest, seeing animals (monkeys, toucans, coati, aguti and countless others). Easy access to nearby cloud forest reserve (even walking to one), cheese factory, coffee and dining.

Great place for privacy, but close to everything!!

Danielle communication was excellent before the trip and she was there when we arrived. The house was immaculate two bedrooms, upstairs two bedrooms, downstairs large kitchen, washer, and dryer which we used and they worked well Highly recommend, especially for a family. It’s a quiet area close to everything.

Highest Recommendation

We were a family of four visiting Monteverde for the first time. I simply cannot express how much more enjoyable our trip was as a result of our hosts and their attention to detail with their properties (they do have multiple). The service was beyond fantastic. The home is extremely clean, beautiful, and in a great location. Daniela was so helpful with preplanning, as well as when we were there. Do yourselves a favor, and visit this home!! We will certainly be back.

Perfect!

Great house with lots of beds. Fully equipped kitchen. 3-5 minutes from city center but quiet and secluded feeling at end of the day is nice. Great porch and hammock facing the sunset. Perfect for us but no AC in case you expect it. Fans in every room and in March it cools down at night and cold in the morning so we loved it. Everything we wanted! We cooked and ate in the house. Literally minutes from dinner and breakfast places. We enjoyed Stella’s and the open kitchen and taco taco.

The absolute most perfect property I’ve ever stayed in! From the moment we pulled up, we were enamored by the large front porch and beautiful surroundings. The inside is so cozy and clean, and has everything you could want! The beds and pillows are amazing, the kitchen is pristine and there is so much space! I can’t wait to stay here again!

Perfect Location in Monteverde!

This was the perfect house for our stay in Monteverde! It's literally a 2-minute drive to Curi-Cancha Reserve, which is where we wanted to explore the cloud forest with an excellent guide. The house has been wonderfully updated with modern amenities and it's just slightly down the road from the hustle and bustle of the town. Daniela was very communicative and offered to book tours (we had a rec for a local guide we used instead). The host also left a yummy loaf of banana bread for us! Too bad we only had a one-night stay and we'll definitely book this property again the next time we're in the area. Do NOT pass up this house, especially if you have a larger group! It was super comfy for 6 adults and 1 teen. Thanks for making our stay memorable!
