• TWO PRIVATE DOCKS & BOAT LIFT — Direct boating access to the Gulf, dockside fishing, and complimentary boat lift use. See boat lift specifications below before booking.

• WATER ADVENTURES INCLUDED — Three adult fishing kayaks, youth kayak, paddleboard, life jackets, fishing gear, crab trap, bait cooler, and fish-cleaning table. An additional fridge in the garage keeps your catch fresh.

• FAMILY FUN — Bikes, ping-pong, basketball arcade, cornhole, board games, card games, sports balls, and puzzles.

• BEACH & SPRINGS KIT — Pre-packed beach bag, sand toys, beach blanket, sun umbrella, two chairs, cooler, and a wagon to carry it all.

• THE COMFORTS OF HOME — Kitchen, Wi-Fi, coffee starters, Pack ’n Play, high chair, baby bath, monitor, and children’s dishes. Less to pack, more time together.

A FEW DETAILS

• POOL HEATING/COOLING — Optional electric heating/cooling is $55/night. Request ahead; water temperature cannot be guaranteed.

• POOL SAFETY — An in-pool alarm and child-safety locks on all patio doors leading to the pool provide added protection. Children must always have adult supervision around the pool, canal, and docks.

• BOAT LIFT — Advance approval and signed agreement required. Maximum 7,000 lbs, 26 ft long, and 9 ft wide, subject to boat compatibility.

• DOGS — Pet fee is $200 for the first dog and $100 for the second dog. Pet agreement required.

• GUEST PORTAL — All guests must log in to our Guest Portal before arrival to sign the rental agreement and upload their ID.

• SECURITY CAMERAS — For safety, exterior cameras cover the front entrance, garage entrance, boat lift, and kayaks. There are no cameras inside the home.

• BIKES — Please bring your own bike helmets.

This place is perfect! The owners have thought of everything. Great location for a manatee visit! My wife and 2 daughters loved the pool and even took the kayaks out on the water. I HIGHLY recommend this place if you are staying in Crystal River!

We were more than pleased with the entire experience. The communication with the host and check in process could not have been better. The house and pool were very clean, the bathroom right off the pool was a great touch!!! The outdoor beverage fridge was great as well. I would definitely stay here again and recommend others to stay here!

The pool and the Florida room were amazing and everyone spent a lot of time out there! We had a fun time using the kayaks and exploring the canals. Macey was a great host, super informative about the house and things to do in the surrounding area. She was also so easy to get ahold of and responded very quickly!

We first discovered Crystal River on a family vacation to fulfill a bucket-list dream: swimming with manatees. We paired the trip with a few days in Orlando, but to my surprise, every one of our kids preferred Crystal River. My husband did too—though that part didn’t surprise me!

We fell in love with its laid-back Old Florida charm, friendly people, and come-as-you-are atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you can spend the day on the water and head to dinner in shorts and a fishing shirt.

Our family loves nature, animals, and outdoor adventures, so this quiet waterfront neighborhood felt like a natural fit. Kayaking from the backyard, catching crabs off the dock, and watching for wildlife are exactly how we love to spend time together.

We left that first trip knowing we wanted a home here someday. The Floaty Potato became our way to return to a place we love—and share it with other families. We hope you leave with your own favorite memories and the same feeling we had: we can’t wait to come back.

What makes The Floaty Potato special is how much of your vacation is already included. We’ve set out to make it one of the most amenity-rich vacation homes in the Crystal River area, with thoughtful extras for adventures on the water, relaxing afternoons, and family fun.

Spend the morning kayaking from the backyard, fish or catch crabs from our two private docks, and unwind by the private pool. We provide kayaks, a paddleboard, bikes, fishing gear, and beach equipment, plus complimentary boat lift use with advance approval. Solar pool heating is included, with optional electric heating available for an additional fee. Ping-pong, basketball arcade, cornhole, and board games keep everyone entertained between outings.

The most personal part of our home is the care behind it. As a former autism specialist and the parent of a child with autism, I know how much thoughtful preparation can mean when traveling. We offer sensory support items upon request and welcome conversations about your family’s needs so you can plan your stay with greater confidence. Baby gear and dog-friendly extras help more members of the family feel at home, too.

The extras extend beyond our backyard. Our guests receive exclusive discounts with five local charter and tour companies for swimming or kayaking with manatees, eco tours, airboat rides, fishing, and scalloping. Our exclusive guest guide also shares local favorites, restaurant recommendations, and free activities to help you make the most of your stay.

Even our name reflects our love of this place! The Floaty Potato® is our own manatee-inspired brand, with merchandise that lets you take a little of Crystal River home with you.
