What's nearby:

This home sits less than a mile south of restaurants, eateries, and cute shops in the heart of Rockaway Beach, just a few blocks from the iconic Twin Rocks. Head down East Washington Street to find a beach access point and enjoy long stretches of sand to explore in either direction. Or, catch a ride on the famous Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad, which connects to the fishing village of Garibaldi five miles south.

The bar house

This place was decent for the price. The kitchen was well stocked and my family enjoyed playing pool and sitting in the sauna when we werent touring the beach or downtown. It was fully fenced and safe for my doggo. The only downfall was no air conditioning and thin walls/curtains separate the sleeping areas. Very nostalgic and cozy.

Rocking it at Rockaway Beach

Overall we and our dog (Iceland-Yoshi) enjoyed the stay. The beach and the Rockaway Big Tree trailhead were not further than a 5 minute walk (depending on how fast you walk, of course). We enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings, and took advantage of a couple of the old arcade games and a pool table located downstairs in our “bar”. The kitchen is spacious and equipped with everything one needs for cooking. There are a few things that could be off-putting for some

Great stay, few minor things

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the dive bar beach house. Photos online are accurate, no frills but nice enough. Hot tub was very nice and a great perk. Things that could be improved: the pillows and bed sets have a deep set odor to them. I think these could be replaced. Furnace also runs very loud, keep that in mind if you’re a light sleeper. Overall neither affected our stay too much. Great fun place to stay near the beach!

Exactly as advertised, better than expected

Had a wonderful weekend stay with siblings, was a fun and quirky environment for our annual trip. Would be a fun location for a small family to stay, though with little privacy between rooms. Very clean, everything in working order, and an easy 5 minute walk to the coast. Highly recommend, would stay again!

Fun location

This was a great place to stay with friends, with the games and the hot tub available. It was a bit challenging to find the lock box with the key in it, and it took a little bit to hear back from the property manager, but they did call back, and we were able to get in.

Rockaway Getaway

We stayed at the home a couple years ago and really enjoyed it. It was perfect for us and our two pups. This time around, the peoperty was in greater disrepair. There were cobwebs everywhere inside the home, two broken lamps upstairs and the fence and hanging vines were fallen over, leaving a huge gap for our pups to get out of the yard. We ended up purchasing chicken wire and poles to fix the fence ourselves. It was disappointing. We left a day early. Vacasa was wonderful to communicate with and we were happy about their responsiveness. We won't be returning to this property.

Not as expected

Property needs some work. Games looked appealing but resolution was terrible. Laundry facility is discussing although the machines were fine. Plenty of towels and hot tub was clean and hot. Electrical set up appeared a bit dangerous-power strips and cords everywhere. We stayed for a full week and it was ok but not a good value for the money. Better options in this town.

Cool and fun place

Really fun place to stay! My two dogs appreciated the fenced in yard. The place was very roomy and we enjoyed the pool table and air hockey table. Also the hot tub was great. Clean and ready for use. The area was beautiful. The beach was huge and very clean. Also a cool boardwalk trail to some big trees very close by. We had a great stay and hope to return some day.

Sister Getaway

My Sister and I were out to the coast to visit family and this we the perfect place to crash right near the beach and had a ton of fun with all the games! Hot Tub was perfectly clear and gorgeous! The cover holder was damaged and needs replacing but overall amazing STAY!

Rockaway beach

The place was fun. Enjoyed the hot tub and pool table the most. Lack of a door on the upstairs bathroom was odd. I understand the ceiling is very tall, but I think something more could be done. Kitchen was well stocked, except needed a salt shaker. The place was pretty much as advertised. Lack of working lamps in the upstairs bedroom. Ended up moving one from another bedroom. Futons were not terribly comfortable, but that's not too surprising. All in all we had a good time.

Great getaway

Our family really enjoyed this space. We did have difficulty locating the lock box with the keys. The only other concern I had is, I pulled out the drawer at the bottom of the oven & when I pushed it back in, there was a pile of broken glass and old food. We couldn’t easily find a broom but we were able to clean it up. Other than that, this space was perfect for our needs.

Do You Like Escape Rooms?

Upon arrival, we were greeted with a few puzzles. 1. How to use the rebar gate 2. How to find the lock box 3. Which door to enter through 4. How to unlock the hot tub. Once we ran out of puzzles the stay seamless. I really enjoyed the interactive immersive stay. The decor is immaculate if you don’t mind the buzz of neon, which we do not. The plates are all glass which made us feel alive! So cozy, so novel, so fun. Wonderful beach, wonderful time, wonderful stay. PS. If you’re looking for the marbles, try under the fridge, that’s where we found them.

Our favorite place at the coast

This is our third or fourth time here. We absolutely love this place. It’s very dog friendly, and comfortable. The hot tub was in eco mode when we showed up, and someone came out immediately to fix it. Our only tiny complaint would be all the dog poop in the backyard. I would have cleaned it, but the scooper was broken. We will definitely come back again!

We love this place!

This is our second time staying at this rental. We love the house. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked, and everything was clean. The hot tub, pool table, and air hockey were amazing. I would love to come for a week next time and not just a weekend. There were a couple things that didn’t work, and I’m not sure who to contact.

Well used but not well maintained

The house had some fun features to it but I would say it is well worn but not well loved. We found lots of things broken and lacking in the kitchen (stove was in bad shape.) We have never had to call maintenance for a beach house we’ve rented but had to call them twice during our stay. It also would have been really nice to have a notebook with instructions for operating the furnace etc. and better instructions for getting in to the house. It also needs a good cleaning, lots of cobwebs and pine needles, grass etc swept under cabinets in the kitchen. We had to wash every dish before we used it in the kitchen.

Great & Quirky Getaway

This place was really quirky with the air hockey table, arcade games and all the bar lights. But it was comfy, cozy, quiet and private. It was perfect for the dogs with the fenced yard and even better for us with the hot tub. The only glitch was the broken crank on the downstairs bathroom window but we were able to push it open and pull it closed. We would definitely stay here again.

Fun stay, amazing sunset

Eccentric & eclectic & we lived it. Walkable to beautiful sunset at Twin Rocks and easily drivable to some greats spots on the north coast. Bonus that you come back to a cozy place to relax with on-site games & a hot tub.

Fun game house near the beach

The property was clean and well kept. The loft itself is warm and inviting and resembles a bar/pool hall. Also the hot tub worked exceptionally well.
