For a pet friendly home, house was remarkably clean. Location a block off the beach was ideal, and completely fenced back yard was great for peace of mind.

This was a wonderful choice. The home is across the street from a beach access and when outside the sound of the ocean is softly in the background; the two decks were great. My dogs especially loved the upper deck for basking in sunbeams and looking down upon their new world. I enjoyed both as well having morning coffee and kicking back. The nearby beach is less populated which was relaxing but the busier Rockaway strip is only a 3 mile walk and the twin rocks worth it. The backyard was awesome for them and easier on me not having to snap on leashes several times a day. Care was taken to shore up any potential escape points.The side gate was appreciated for walking around the house to the back deck where sand could be brushed off before going inside. The wall colors are relaxing neutrals but accent colors make it fun and interesting. This is a 3-bedroom home with bunkbeds in the 2nd downstairs bedroom. Whimsical touches here and there added to the unplugging experience. The shower took a little figuring out but pulling down on the faucet ring where the water comes out solved it. The keypad entry wasn't quite as described but the lock and unlock symbolled buttons were easy to use. Not quite so easy was the TV but I'm a laptop streamer and only use the remote for volume, it is probably easier for others. The only thing lacking in the kitchen was scissors. Only mentioning so the next person knows. Would absolutely stay here again.

The quieter stretch of beach nearby makes it easy to unwind, with Rockaway and Twin Rocks close enough for a change of pace. Beach stay

Great house! Very clean and nice quiet location. Not the best beach access, but still not bad. There was a nice deck with a slight view of the ocean.

The house was homey and a great location. We loved that it is so near the beach! The only things that brought the rating down was that there was quite a bit of dog hair on the kitchen towels and the decor was dusty, like it hadn't been deep cleaned in awhile. Also, the only pot holder in the kitchen melted to the oven rack when trying to take a pan out of the oven, so I had to use a towel instead.Otherwise, we loved our vacation and are appreciative of the affordable home so close to a wonderful beach!

Property definitely wasn’t the best. Some kind of animal is living in the walls in the bathroom. Our dog was on edge the entire time from hearing it. We heard it too. The house smelt musty when we first arrived and we had to leave the doors open for a bit to air it out. Dirty pots were put away and we had to wash before using. The upstairs bathroom shower wasn’t draining properly and had standing water while showering. We were unable to access our house for an entire day due to road construction in the front of the house which had been planned and we were unaware of when booking.

Great location to the beach! House was set uo well for families. Was a little dirty . Nothing major. The yatd was fenced in but was very unkept and rum down. It coukd use some cleaning up.

Wonderful Time

Just me, the husband and our 2 kids for a quiet weekend. The beach was only minutes away. We walked up the beach to the jetty, probably during the worst wind of the day. The weather was wet and windy but that didn’t stop us from enjoying ourselves. I love a good storm. The house was probably bigger than what the 4 of us needed but we were comfortable and enjoyed lit stay. Considering staying here again for future visits.

Not user friendly

Save your money on this one. Very poor layout. Kitchen and very small dining downstairs, living room upstairs. Upstairs deck has partial view but absolutely nothing to sit on. Crud covered front window and moldy deck railing (these issues were mentioned in a previous review but never corrected). There are better places.

The tap water has an odor of chlorine and tastes strange. Stairs are incredibly steep - says it's not advised for children under 2.....no, maybe kiddos 4 and olders less than 60. The housekeeper was waiting before the 10 am checkout, felt like stalking. When I arrived, the dishwasher was still running, I went to empty it a day or two later - the dishes were still dirty. The bottom part of the dishwasher fell off - I left it as it was. On my third day, I went to do laundry and found both the dryer and the washer full of linens. The wet linens had been in the washer for two days...I didn't know there were there. Housekeepers could have left a note. The host is AI - couldn't even respond about determining which of the multiple remotes would work for the television. No useable response for the entire time I was there....don't count on a real person addressing any concerns. The good aspect of the property is the location, and that's it. The house is crap, the beach is great. Don't bring kids, it's unsafe.
