This was a lovely condo. Our family enjoyed the condo and location a lot. The only complaint was that the fire alarm went off every morning throughout the whole complex waking up everyone. THis happened 3 days in a row. On Memorial Day no one was around to turn it off and it went on for ages. Had it not been for this very disruptive wake up call every morning I would have given it 5 stars all around.

Great family beach week

Great place, great location and longboat key never dissapoints. The only thing needed is an updated mattress on the pullout couch since we were not able to use that as advertised, but it’s an easy fix.

Best view!!!

Really enjoyed our stay here! The view was fantastic! Beautiful view of the beach from kitchen, living room, master bedroom and balcony. The kitchen is nice and updated but bedrooms and bathrooms in desperate need of updating. Didn't really effect my enjoyment though! The resort staff very nice, friendly and helpful. Laundry facilities were great, even better they are free! We plan to return to same unit!

We enjoyed our stay but expected nicer furnishings at this price point. The grounds a common areas were beautifully maintained as was the pool area. It is a shame the owner does not take more care of her unit.

Dirty and bug infested, my elderly mom was so nervous, we tried to stay out of unit as much as possible. The view was the best thing, very stressful vacation.

It really was so great to see you again this year!! : ) This is a beautiful unit that was just updated with new living room furniture, and brand new rugs in the bedrooms. When you notified the office about the cleanliness of the unit we offered to have housekeeping come back up immediately to fix any issue that you had, and you unfortunately declined. The day before you were checking out was the first time that you had told us that you had seen bugs in your unit. You showed us a picture of the bugs that you had seen in the unit, and we thanked you for showing us, and we told you that it looked like termites, We offered to move you to another unit for the last night so that you and your mother could be more comfortable, and you declined stating that you were leaving the next day and you would be fine. We did have a professional come out and resolve the issue, and we want to thank you for bring this to our attention. We did refund you one night as we felt that was fair. Toured around all the rooms then begin unpacking to go to the beach and play with monster trucks and then the water with our grandson. we all had such a good time we didn’t want to leave. We’re already planning to visit again this summer, so relaxing, so refreshing so much fun thank you Sand Cay for helping us with each visit that we returned to see you till again my friends. Sand Cay 2021

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 3rd stay. We always choose beachfront. The view was great! Master bed was comfortable. The condo, however, was lacking. I had to buy pitchers for our drinks. The bathrooms are in dire need of update and fixing. The master shower had mildew on the curtain and the piece beneath the faucet had some kind of metallic tape to prevent leaks? We will be back to Sand Cay, but not back to this unit.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As advertised the view was wonderful, master bed is comfortable, layout is very accessible for the size of the unit, the kitchen seemed adequately equipped, though a disposable scrub sponge as part of the welcome packet would be helpful. However, the couch/loveseat combo is beyond end of life. The couch went unused for sitting the entire week and we had to fold up all of the extra bedding in the unit to top the pull out mattress to make it sleepable. I've owned a coastal rental unit in the past and understand the expenses involved, but at this point the couch has to be addressed. It's a possible deal breaker for future stays for us.

Beautiful view, but need updates

The location of condo 303 is amazing there’s a gorgeous view from most rooms and just a quick walk to the beach. There were plenty of chairs on the beach for my family and umbrellas to borrow from the condo office. Our main issue is with the worn mattresses and couches. All need to be updated: the couch was almost unbearable to sit on and the mattresses felt really old and tired (just like us after trying to sleep on them for 5 nights). The kitchen was well stocked with just about all the utensils and cookware you’ll need and the appliances were newer. There are beach towels and hair dryers, which are not listed, and knowing that would have saved us a lot of luggage space. The door lock also needs attention, we almost couldn’t get the door open a few times. I would definitely come back after some of these updates, but as it stands I think the owner should charge a little less.
