Blue Dune Stays is a welcoming, family-friendly retreat just a 7-minute walk from Washington Park and Sheridan Beach on Lake Michigan. Designed for comfort and connection, the home blends modern amenities with cozy touches and plenty of space to relax. Located near downtown Michigan City, you’ll be close to great restaurants, local shopping, and the Indiana Dunes National Park. It’s an ideal home base for beach days, outdoor adventures, and easy getaways from Chicago. Don't forget to bring your four-legged friends! This home is pet friendly (up to 2 dogs - additional cleaning fee required).

This home comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests across four bedrooms: one king, two queens, and a bunk room with a full bed and twin bunk set. Two additional pullout couches provide extra flexibility. The home features three full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a spacious living room with cathedral ceilings and a smart TV with an over sized couch. A finished basement offers additional gathering space with a Foosball table and a second living room while two outdoor decks include dining areas and a fire pit lounge. Every room is thoughtfully outfitted with modern, comfortable amenities.

We had some issues with the code getting into the rental, but a quick phone call to the rental office and they were able to fix! House was beautiful and close to everything we wanted to visit. We even saw a beautiful doe in the backyard. Would stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay! The home was clean, comfortable, and spacious, with plenty of privacy for multiple couples. The peaceful greenery in the backyard made it especially relaxing.The hosts thoughtfully provided plenty of amenities and toiletries, which made our stay easy and convenient. There were also lots of games available, and our family had a great time playing them together.The beach is less than a 10-minute walk away, and Dune Billies—a great nearby spot for lunch—is also within walking distance. We would highly recommend this rental and would happily stay here again!

Our stay at the Blue Dune house was perfect for our 5 adults and 3 children family vacation. The house had plenty of space and well equipped. We made many meals and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, plus more. Be aware coffee pot is a bit challenging, we usually bring our own Mr. Coffee pot when we travel. Beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the fire pit and games and toys that were available. The walk to the beach was easy, especially with the blue handicap assessable pad leading to beach over the sandy dune for walking and our wagon. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this lovely house.

Perfect location. The downstairs was well stocked with games and puzzles and toys for the kids. They LIVED down there. The upper level was great for adults hanging out. Everything was so clean and just a short walk to the playground and the beach. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking items. Will stay here again if ever in the area. Slept 4 adults and 3 kids comfortably. All items and areas in the home were well thought out.

What’s not to Love...

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: By far one of the nicest overall rentals we have stayed in via Vrbo! From the moment we walked in the door, the amenities just started popping out all around us! Blue Dune Stays was super clean and we were thoroughly impressed with how nice this fresh property listing was, everything it was described as in the listing details. We had a couple minor hiccups that were not the owners fault, local power outages being the biggest, but when we realized that something had malfunctioned with the A/C system after the power was restored, Kym, the property manager from BeachWalk Vacation Rentals immediately got their maintenance staff involved and within a short time later, we were cool and comfortable again! Kym and her staff at BWVR were outstanding to work with and we will certainly seek them out again in the future for our vacation rental needs! Well Done Blue Dune Stays...WELL DONE!

Beautiful home in a terrible town

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Although the house was beautiful, the door to our bedroom did not close, sheets on the bed were dirty, and the cleanliness of the towels and bathroom left much to be desired. The walk to the beach was very easy, and although the beach was beautiful, the town was absolutely terrible. There were no restaurants, or even little ice cream places. We couldn’t find any little beach shops or anything to do. The town reminded us of a bad Detroit or Pontiac with businesses boarded up and dilapidated buildings. If we had known that we would be confined to our rental home and unable to enjoy a beach town we would not have stayed here.
