Alegria est un charmant chalet de plage situé à Sheridan Beach. Cette adorable location de 4 chambres + loft, 3 salles de bain est parfaite pour votre escapade! Situé à seulement 2 pâtés de maisons de la meilleure plage du lac Michigan, ce petit bijou offre tellement! Ouvrez la porte du salon confortable baigné de soleil vous accueillant dès que vous franchissez la porte! La chambre principale est au rez-de-chaussée avec salle de bain complète. La deuxième histoire a une salle de bain complète, un grand loft lumineux (avec TV / DVD) qui peut accueillir cinq personnes - idéal pour les enfants! Hors du loft est une autre chambre avec lit queen et portes françaises à une terrasse privée. La cuisine mise à jour est totalement équipée avec une salle à manger spacieuse et des sièges pour tout le gang. Le sous-sol comprend un salon séparé, deux chambres (pouvant accueillir ensemble 6 personnes facilement) et une salle de bains avec douche. Mais ce qui est vraiment le plus unique à Alegria, c'est l'espace extérieur où vous êtes complètement entouré d'arbres et de sentiers pédestres, offrant intimité et sérénité. Vous l'aimerez tellement que vous voudrez préparer vos repas sur le gril à gaz à l'extérieur sur le pont et dîner sous le ciel étoilé. Certaines attractions à proximité incluent le Washington Park Zoo & Splash Pad, Michigan City Marina, Lighthouse Shopping Outlet et le Blue Chip Casino. Tout en quelques minutes! Family Beach Vacation

Wonderful time had by all. We spent many hours at the beach which took just minutes to walk to, and the Washington Park Zoo was just delightful.

College friends get-a-way

Great house for our group to spend the weekend catching up and relaxing! Really enjoyed the extra bonus of watching three deer in the back yard every morning during breakfast after we enjoying the quick stroll down to the beach.

Beautifully wooded back yard

Alegria is well maintained and furnished. We enjoyed the close walk to the beach, which is huge and fun!! The private back yard is great for early morning coffee and evening dinner and relaxation. So enjoyable!

Sweet & short weekend stay

Our families second visit to the area and we brought friends along with us this time! Perfect location for us- short trip to the amazing zoo, walked on the pier and the kids loved the beach (even though it was kinda cold& windy), and had an amazing lunch at Dunebillies. The back deck was great and we saw deer on the hill behind us every morning and evening.

Great for large families with younger kids

Very nice and very roomy. Loved the long table and multiple seating areas! Most of the beds were comfortable. Beach was a pretty short walk. We enjoyed it.

Nice place that we would like to come back again.

Plenty of room for the 3 generations to gather for meals yet separate for different activities. Enjoyed the front and back patios. Close walk to the beach. Had a problem with a leak in the basement but it was fixed with a new water heater.

Yes - sorry the water heater started leaking - thought it was the air conditioner condensate backing up, but my son noticed the water heater - luckily my guy was able to change it the next day! sorry for the inconvenience! Todd

It was fun

Beach was great especially with waves. Botanical gardens were fantastic. Zoo was close Visit to Oinks is a must. Good location. Kids loved hill and bench behind the house. We had 8 adults and 9 children. For our 1 yr old a pack n play and a high chair. Lots of dishwashing detergent, garbage bags, and laundry pods. It was much appreciated

Vintage Lake House Michigan City

Great space that easily accommodated our family of 16. Nice backyard deck in quiet wooded setting. Our kids loved exploring the woods behind the house. Nicely decorated space and well equipped kitchen. Walk to beach was manageable with small kids and wagons. Great memories created!

Perfect getaway near the beach

This house was perfect for our family of 13.House was very spacious and clean.We enjoyed our afternoon short walk to the beach,and enjoyed the beautiful sunset and views.We enjoyed the parks and the zoo near by as well.The deck was nice too and loved seeing the wild tukeys in the morning near the hill behind the house.Overall this house was perfect and relaxing for our weekend getaway!Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.We will definitely be back!

We bought the entire Carter Manny compound from Carter in 2009 and have since set about trying to maintain (and even improve) the perfect balance of relaxed sophistication and ingenious simplicity that Carter infused it with over 60+ years of ownership. We spend most of our summers in Michigan City with our kids either in the sailing program, on the beach, or on the Michigan City Municipal golf course. We live in Elmhurst when we can't be in Michigan City and have to do stuff like go to work and school.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Alegria is a well-built classic Lake Michigan Summer Cottage newly remodeled with all the modern amenities in a unique, tranquil setting unusual for this close to the water. Much of Sheridan Beach is built very close together, so not much privacy - really none. Not so with Alegria - in the evening you can turn on the floodlights and have the whole wooded hillside behind lit up while you enjoy the peace and quiet.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Alegria has a great location close to Lake Michigan but also has PRIVACY and PEACE & QUIET - the lots behind the cottage are still just woods (with trails if you like to explore). Sheridan Beach is close to Chicago (75 min drive), but feels a world away and has really the best beach on Lake Michigan. A burst pipe led to a complete down to the studs remodel, so the cottage is like new - modern kitchen, baths, etc. Loft will sleep up to five. Another bedroom up sleeps two. First floor master suite has it's own bath and laundry. Two bedrooms (each sleeps three) and a bath are in the basement. Outside shower on the back deck to rinse off the sand. Real wood-burning fireplace in the living room. Classic 1920's beach cottage with stone walled front yard and private back yard with all the modern conveniences - WIFI, Cable TV, Air Conditioning, granite countertops, etc. We have a list of places for good Pizza, Burgers, Fine Dining, things to do, places to go, etc. Come and explore the southern shore of Lake Michigan from this great base camp.
