EntiĂšrement rĂ©novĂ© en 2011, ce chalet dispose de planchers de bois franc, d'une cuisine entiĂšrement Ă©quipĂ©e avec des comptoirs en granit et des appareils en acier inoxydable, y compris une cuisiniĂšre Ă  gaz / four, un lave-vaisselle et un micro-ondes, ainsi qu'une laveuse / sĂ©cheuse empilable. Chaque chambre peut accueillir 2 personnes avec 1 lit queen et 2 lits jumeaux. Une unitĂ© de climatisation dans le salon maintient la maison entiĂšre fraĂźche. La salle de bain carrelĂ©e de marbre a une douche, mais pas de baignoire. Il y a aussi une douche extĂ©rieure avec eau chaude et froide pour profiter aprĂšs une journĂ©e Ă  la plage ou tout simplement pour le plaisir. La terrasse de l'arriĂšre-cour offre une vue magnifique sur l'ocĂ©an, y compris Nubble Light & Boone Island. DĂźnez en plein air aprĂšs avoir utilisĂ© le gril Ă  gaz extĂ©rieur ou Ă  l'intĂ©rieur devant la grande baie vitrĂ©e face Ă  l'ocĂ©an. Ou dĂźner au restaurant The Lobster Cove, Ă  quelques pas. Cozy, spotless cottage with all the amenities we needed (and then some). Manager greeted us personally and inquired re our needs throughout our visit. Very friendly neighbors and lovely views from the back deck. Very relaxed, convenient, and mellow spot. Despite location on 1A, traffic was never an issue and the convenience was spot-on re walking, bike riding, parks, beaches and restaurants. We definitely recommend the property.

Great location with beautiful view

This was our third stay at this cottage.We really love it. It's a great location and it's nice knowing Beth (the caretaker) is close by. The cottage was clean and everything was ready for us when we arrived. I highly recommend staying here.

We had a fabulous week in the Maine Cottage. It was the perfect size for our small group. Couldn’t beat the views from the back deck of the ocean and Nubble Light. Was a great spot near our other family at Camp Eaton and only a short walk to Long Sands. The property manager was nearby, greeted us shortly after we arrived to give us a tour of the home and even checked on us after a huge storm rolled through. Would definitely recommend this house.

Darling beach house, well stocked and in a perfect location! A wonderful view to enjoy from sunrise to sunset. Manager was wonderful and attentive to our questions and needs. Would love to go back.

Great Cottage with Outstanding Ocean Views

The website pictures don’t do this adorable seaside cottage justice. Upon first entering, the ocean view from the picture window is spectacular. It cannot be captured in just a photo. The views also change with the tides and the weather which add to the effect. We felt immediately at home in this restful setting. We were also impressed with the cleanliness and the attention to detail in the decorations and the amenities. With all that is provided, there is really nothing that a person needs to bring. The internet connection is strong. There is Alexa and a wide range of television options on Spectrum, the service provider. It is obvious that the owners are very attached to this cottage which has been in their family for many years. Beth, the property manager for the owners, lives right across the street. She is very friendly and willing to provide information about the cottage, York, and other coastal locations. If any issues arise, send a quick text, and she is right there to help you resolve them. The location, near the southern end of Long Sands beach is convenient to the historic town of York. We noted that York has sidewalks and designated lanes for bicycles and jogging on all of York Street. That is an important safety feature that we have not seen in many other towns. Hannaford Supermarket is only a 10 minute drive. Short Sands beach is quite different with its zoo, sandy beach, souvenir shops, and restaurants. You will definitely enjoy your stay here!!

Family Vacation

Our stay at the “Maine house” as my kids were calling it was amazing. We absolutely loved the week we were there. Beth greeted us upon arrival and we just knew it was going to be a perfect home away from home.

Best View Ever

This was our 2nd stay and we love it ! The view is just amazing and the location is perfect! My only suggestion would be to add a sectional sofa so we can hang out as a family. With only the love seat, our 17 yr twins hung out in their beds because the wicker chairs were not comfortable. It would be great to be able to all sit together ! It would definitely fit too plenty of space! Beth was great too , met scooter , so sweet ! Thanks for a great week !

Great for a getaway

This was our first time at the cottage and I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. The view of Nubble and the ocean is wonderful. The cottage is just as described in the listing, only better. It was nice to know Beth was just across the street if we needed anything, she is so nice and helpful. We loved it so much we booked for next year!

Nice place to stay

Very nice. All the amenities. Nice view of the lighthouse and the ocean from the back deck. Check in was easy. Walking distance to the beach and the restaurant the Lobster Cove. We are in our 70’s and found that lighting was a bit dim for us. We might bring our own lamp next time. We did not need either the air conditioner or the heat while we were there. The windows are plentiful and seal well. There is a bit of road noise as you are right on York street. Would rent again!

Charming Stay at York Beach

We had a great stay at the cottage! The ocean view (especially sunrises and moonrises) and salty breezes off the water were treasures. The cottage had everything we needed for an enjoyable and relaxing week.
