This was a wonderful property with walking paths nearby for morning and evening walks. The owners had great communication throughout our stay and made us feel welcomed to the home. Will definitely stay again!

This is a beautiful house. Plenty of space and sleeping accommodations. The kitchen has quite a few utensils, pans, cups, etc so you can cook your meals. Be sure to bring spices you need. The backyard is unfinished, so not much space outside for kiddos to play, but it is nice. The location is within 5 minutes of anywhere to eat, shop, etc. The VRBO company is very easy to work with, and will respond to any questions or concerns promptly. I would stay here again.

The property had been renovated. The kitchen and bathrooms had been updated. The backyard had not been updated, but the patio had new furniture. It would have been nice to have a screen on the sliding doors. Over all the house was good for our stay in Montrose.

The home was clean and roomy. The beds were comfortable. It was a great place for our family. However, it was quite smoky outside from nearby fires. The swamp cooler let in the smoky smell. Other than that, we had no complaints.

Had to open windows to keep cool enough in bedrooms. Had ants behind bar. Faucet in master bedroom is hooked up backwards causing the possibility of getting burned. The air in master bedroom is disconnected. Had to get someone out there to get water turned on to the other air cond. going. Air was in the frontroom and the rest of the house,you had to open windows to get air flow. Top rail of bunkbed was dirty. The unit itself is awesome.

Gary, we’re sorry to hear the cooling system did not meet your expectations during your stay. As discussed during our phone conversation on the first night, the home uses an evaporative cooler rather than central air conditioning, which requires a few windows to remain slightly open for proper airflow and cooling. Because it operates separately from the home’s heating system, it functions differently than traditional central AC. We appreciate your feedback and regret that the explanation and troubleshooting we provided did not result in a more comfortable experience for you. We thought we had everything resolved a couple of hours after your arrival when we sent our maintenance team over to help you.
