This was one our best vacations! We wished we could have stayed longer, it was perfect! The cabin is on a quiet street and because it dead ends right at the water there is no traffic. This was an unexpected perk; no cars meant our small dog had nothing to barking at! The boats & kayakers on the canal kept him quietly occupied. The location is perfect and the small town of Central Lake has everything you need, groceries, small shops, restaurants, community events, great walking areas. The cabin is clean, the kitchen has everything you need, the outdoor BBQ was clean too! Both bedrooms are just the right size and the beds were comfortable. The owner has created a great place to stay and relax.

This cozy cottage was perfect for a 3 night stay. The yard is big and private, perfect for games and bonfires. We brought tubes and enjoyed floating by the dock watching the boats go by. The screened in porch was the perfect spot to relax while it rained. The grocery store and restaurants were within walking distance. The host messaged me the day we checked in to make sure we got in ok and to see if we had any questions. I’m happy to report that we didn’t have any issues, but I’m sure a problem would have been dealt with very quickly if we did. Everyone agreed it was a perfect getaway!

Wonderful place to get away to!! House had all the essentials and more. Location couldn't be better right on the river at the end of a quiet street and just a very short walk to the park with beach on the lake or downtown for groceries ,ice cream cone or a drink. Kayaks, grill, fire pit, board games and tv provided made sure there was lots to do without going far or on a rainy day as well. Furniture was all comfortable including on the screened in porch for relaxing in. Really enjoyed our visit and would recommend to others !

My family and I live in Traverse City. We moved here from a Detroit suburb in 2003 and have loved calling this area home. In 2014 we decided to share our town with summer visitors and find a quieter place to spend our summers. We discovered a charming cabin about an hour north on beautiful Intermediate Lake — now called The Wet Nest — and instantly fell in love with Bellaire, Central Lake, and the lake’s shoreline. Since then we’ve bought additional properties on the lake and a few long-term rentals in the area. We’ve enjoyed many summers on the water and look forward to one day retiring there.
