The Space:

This charming house features a main one-bedroom layout with a second bedroom and bath connected by a deck, making it ideal for one or two couples or a remote work writer's retreat. The cozy great room boasts window seats and a wood stove, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the miles of hiking trails through the redwoods and along the coastal bluffs.



The fantastic bright kitchen is a chef's dream, equipped with a Jenn-air slide-in propane range, Miele dishwasher, Whirlpool refrigerator/freezer, and large pantry cupboard. Wood floors, open beam ceilings with clerestory windows, and cabinetry add to the allure of this retreat. The main bedroom features a split-king, adjustable Ghost Bed for personalized comfort. The second bedroom and bath are detached from the main house, offering added privacy and tranquility.

Guest Access:

From the kitchen to the deck, everything in this home is at your disposal. This home welcomes up to 1 dog -- the yard and nearby trails are ready for your pup. Driveway parking is available at the property. Detailed check-in instructions, including the door code, will be provided prior to your arrival. As a guest, you also have access to Sea Ranch community amenities including the pools, tennis courts, fitness center, and miles of trails. A recreation pass will be provided.



The Neighborhood:

Stretching along ten miles of the Sonoma Coast, The Sea Ranch offers a rare blend of coastal wilderness and thoughtfully designed homes. Nearby highlights include community heated pool and hot tub (South) (3-minute drive), Pebble Beach access trail (4-minute drive), Black Point headland trails (4-minute drive). Trails lead from your door to the bluffs, beaches, and through the forest. Heated pools, tennis courts, a fitness center, and The Sea Ranch Lodge round out the amenities. Gualala is a quick 10-minute drive south for groceries, dining, and fuel. For a scenic outing, Jenner and Bodega Bay are further down Highway 1.



Getting Around:

The drive from San Francisco is approximately 2.5 hours via Highway 101 to Highway 1. Fly into Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Santa Rosa, about 1.5 hours east, and rent a car. The Highway 1 drive along the coast is spectacular and worth building into your travel day.

Good to know: The 2nd bedroom is a detached bed/bath across the deck from the main house.

The king bed is a split-king Ghost Bed for personalized comfort.



Sea Ranch has three recreation centers with heated pools, saunas, and tennis courts. Access passes are provided with your stay -- check availability upon arrival as these shared amenities can be popular during peak times.



Exterior lighting is minimal by design to preserve the stunning dark sky -- bring a flashlight for evening walks and enjoy some of the best stargazing on the California coast.



Spring (April-June) brings a wildflower show across the coastal meadows -- lupine, poppies, and iris paint the landscape. Summer (June-September) brings the warmest days and longest light. Morning fog is common along the coast -- it usually burns off by midday.



Up to 1 dog are welcome (max 80 lbs each). Please keep dogs on leash on trails and clean up after them.



Cell service can be spotty along the coast. The home has WiFi for staying connected.
