New to VRBO but very experienced hosts. Everything is brand new in this cottage as of July 2026. Be some of the first guests to experience it! We have hundreds of 5 star reviews across our other properties. Book confidently!

Welcome to the Salt Run Cottages. These two, side by side cottages were constructed as some of the original ‘transient’ rentals in the 1930s long before vacation rentals were a household name. Completely reimagined and renovated in 2026 to provide an open, modern floor plan and high end finishes. These quaint but complete cottages beckon you. As the name suggests, these cottages are located less than 50 yards from the beautiful waters of Salt Run which is part of the Intracoastal Waterway.

Perfectly located central to everything St. Augustine has to offer. You are exactly 1 mile to downtown St. Augustine including the historic corridor and top restaurants. You’re right around the corner from the Lighthouse, Anastasia State Park, St. Augustine Amphitheater and about 3 miles from the main St. Augustine Beach.

This listing is for the Pelican's Perch Cottage. A modern coastal style retreat. Enter to a full kitchen with a fridge/freezer, full size stove & oven, microwave and dishwasher. Cook full meals while enjoying the bar seating on the 8’ quartz peninsula. Additional appliances include a coffee maker, toaster, blender and electric kettle.

Opposite the kitchen is an open concept living room with couch & smart TV. The couch can convert to a pull-out bed to accommodate more guests. Note: this is a somewhat small space. It was designed to accommodate two adults very comfortably. We do permit up to four guests but make sure you’re comfortable sharing a small space as the pull out couch takes up the majority of the living room area.

When it’s time to rest, a single bedroom with queen bed and second TV is located just off the living room.

The cottage is also complete with a full bathroom with a beautiful rain shower head.

The cottages have access to a waterfront platform deck that looks over beautiful Salt Run and is located about 50 yards down the dead end road. The deck has Adirondack chairs & loungers to soak up some sun, enjoy a morning coffee or an evening cocktail after a fun day exploring. Lovely ocean breezes, frequent dolphin sightings and bird watching are favorite activities. The deck is shared between the two cottages.

One dedicated parking space is provided directly in front of the cottage.

Perfect cottage for our getaway weekend. Walkable to the Amp, short drive to the beach—highly recommend waking up early to catch a sunrise. Hosts were quick to respond and great with communication. The cottage itself was spotless and was everything we hoped for as an in-between point for all of our weekend activities.

Our stay at this cottage was beyond excellent!! It was the perfect size for my husband & I and centrally located to everywhere! Being out each day in the St. Augustine heat...and occasional rain showers, what a welcome it was coming back into our quiet & cooled cottage.The hosts were so thoughtful & efficient in their design of this beautiful cottage. It was clean, well furnished & super high marks for the cooling system. The hosts were excellent to respond to us, though we honestly had no questions once we arrived...they made everything THAT efficient. Thank you Cabe & Brittany for sharing your beautiful cottage with us! We definitely want to stay here again!!

My partner and I enjoyed a delightful four-night stay at the lovely, unique Pelican's Perch Cottage. This clean, well-equipped property is situated on Anastasia Island just minutes each way from historic St. Augustine and the fabulous St. Augustine Amphitheater where we took a free shuttle to and from the Anastasia State Park to the Amp for a great concert.The online property guide provided by the property owners, Cabe & Brittany, was a great asset with respect to understanding the Cottage and its amenities. The shared deck overlooking the water is behind the small wooden privacy fence just a short walk down the dirt driveway to the left of the Cottage and is clearly marked with a little sign so you know you're at the deck for cottage guests.Take a good look at the remote for the very effective HVAV system and touch the moon symbol twice to turn off the lighted temperature numbers to darken the bedroom. We cannot say enough good things about this property and the excellent communication by and with Cabe & Brittany and we look forward to perching at this cottage again during our next visit. It is clear that this charming property is only going to get better moving forward.

When Brittany and I first moved in together after college, our first rental house was located on Salt Run and we always thought it was the best location in all of St. Augustine. Close to downtown, close to the beach, close to the amphitheater and not to mention on the water.

We live about a block away in the same neighborhood and operate a couple other vacation rentals in the same area. All of our guests rave about the location and access to everything St. Augustine has to offer.
