Unfortunately, in this area you won't see AC units in any properties as it just doesn't get hot enough for them. A great place to stay by the beach

The property was clean, very close to the beach and restaurants. The neighborhood was quiet. The internet was fast. We had a great time. The only small problem was that the air mattress was leaking air a bit - almost needs to be re-pumped in the middle of the night, but not too bad. We would Recommend this place!

Nice place!

Great location, large, beautiful unit, great location….only drawback is noise from upstairs, particularly footsteps. Other than that, it was a great space.

Amazing location, attention to detail not the best

The location of the property was spot on!! Beautiful view and right by the beach and restaurants and shops. It was quite hot and only one of the two small fans worked. The bed was full size, not queen. And the air mattress did not stay full with air all night. Overall great location but would not stay here again.

Happy Anniversary in Avila Beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our rental was fabulous. We could see the dolphins and seals swimming in the waves right from our living room window and rush down to the beach in 2 minutes. With a coffee in hand from Kracken Coffee just a half a block away we could stand in our sweats first thing in the morning right on the beach. There is nothing like walking around Avila Beach at night when all the tourists have left and the whole place feels like your own personal town with the sound of the waves crashing and only our footsteps walking on main street.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a really nice property, clean and a block from the beach. The kitchen is better equipped than the pictures show with a cooktop, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. The Friday evening farmers market was also a lot of fun. The only issue we had to do with the warm weather. If there were a ceiling fan in the living room and bedroom it would have made this a perfect trip. A minor issue on a fantastic experience. We will be back.

Great place if you don't mind noise.

We stayed from a Monday-Friday and were the only ones in the building. We had a lovely time. On Thursday a family arrived next door and we could hear actual conversations through the wall/door. The child was loud, just being a child but it made it impossible to read or nap or just think. Someone then rented the upstairs unit and the footsteps above were very loud - maybe carpet or taking off shoes would have helped. Thank goodness we were leaving the next day. We won't return because that was a LOT of money and we would not have been able to enjoy our stay if there were other people there!

I am so sorry to hear about the noise, we don't hear that often. We can suggest to future guests about taking shoes off in the upper units. In the future give us a call and we can find you something a little more by itself rather then a 4 plex. ☺

Great Little Place in Avila

It is super close to the main beach and loved the view from the dining room window. Perfect for two people. Very clean and modern. Parking lot in back with ramp access for disabled. We could easily walk into town for morning coffee and had a lovely dinner at the Custom House. Great location. I would surely stay there again. Only downside is having to drive to Pismo to pick up and drop off the keys. We live North of Avila so driving to Pismo at check in and check out was a bit inconvenient. Suggest a drop box in Avila for check out.

Excellent Location, Comfortable Stay

We spent nearly a week in this apartment. We appreciated the sleek décor & great location. There is a fine view of the pier & beach & it was calm & quiet throughout our stay. We had no problem with the two-burner stove, which was a standard gas model, not induction as an earlier guest stated. Those planning a stay should note that this apartment is managed by a rental agency, so the dynamic is different from dealing with an individual owner. If previous renters haven’t left extra hand soap & shampoo, the agency-provided amounts may be insufficient for those spending more than a couple days (we asked and were told we’d received what was allotted). We found a couple lights burned out upon arrival & no replacement bulbs on-site. One of the bulbs was replaced shortly after we reported the issue; we were told the other bulb was unavailable. There are also a few oddities that give the apartment an unexpectedly institutional feel. Inside the unit, there are rather large illuminated exit signs over the front & back doors that open to the exterior. There are also multiple signs on & near the bathroom door, including ones indicating the bathroom is for unisex use. But overall we found the apartment comfortable & a pleasant place for our stay.

You seem to have some misconceptions about how things operate. No previous tenant said it was induction cooking, that was me. I thought the owner had replaced all the cook-tops with induction so I apologize for my inaccuracy! I'm really not sure how you came about the notion of previous guests leaving commodities behind. Each unit is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each guest. I don't know of anyone being told they had used all they were allotted, and I am the manager. I'll be looking into that!! We are converting to pump dispensers soon for all these products, ahead of the CA mandate a couple years from now, which will resolve all these issues! The strange signs are a result of being ADA compliant. It is the only unit we have that is. We always appreciate the comments and viewpoints of our guests. Thank you, Erin

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I come to Avila to get out of cold weather and for health issues. This is my second year staying at this location. Coastal vacation rentals are always available for any questions although I don’t have many as they have all your needs covered. I had my adult children come to visit and stayed in one of the units which they also found quite comfortable. I appreciate the owner working with me on the price of the unit which means I can stay longer. Hope to be back next year and if unit is available may extend for 3-4 months. Thank you.
