OCEAN SIDE-Cozy Cottage pour deux / NO RUE TO CROSS

- COTTAGE EPPPERS - est situé au Mile Post 17. 5 sur le chemin Beach. Il fait partie de Laughing Gull Cottages, une communauté située au bord de l'océan.

Peppers est un chalet confortable pour 2 personnes situé au bord de l'océan. Seulement environ 150 pieds de la plage.

Ce chalet peut sembler rustique à l'extérieur, mais il convient parfaitement à une escapade romantique!

Pepper a un lit queen et une salle de bain complète. Il ya aussi une douche extérieure.

La cuisine est entièrement équipée pour le dîner est un clin d'oeil!

Le salon comprend un mobilier confortable, d'une télévision avec lecteur DVD et un accès Internet Wi-Fi gratuit.

Le pont est spacieuse et clôturé de sorte qu'il est sans danger pour les enfants en bas âge et des animaux. Une table de pique-nique et un barbecue sont également fournis.

Le saviez-vous? Quand les poivrons ont été construits, Dr. Forbes l'a loué à un cardinal catholique.
Il a tellement aimé qu'avant de partir, il a béni le chalet.

This cottage was just the right amount of space for hubby, myself and our 2 dogs. The kitchen had everything you needed to eat in, the grill was big enough to cook a full meal all at once, the bed was pretty comfy, the couch was nice and we loved the porch area. The tv and it's remotes posed a bit of a issue as we never have used a tv like that before, but that was on us. We only had one complaint and that was the shower. It's small, totally get that, but the shower head blows water out covering 99% of the area you stand in from about 6 ½ feet with nowhere to step out and soap up, shave or wash your hair. I would HIGHLY recommend a new shower head with removable wand. It especially was an issue with me being 5'4,I just drowned in there so I used the outside shower to wash my hair. Other than that, it's perfect really!

Booked Peppers cottage for my partner and I’s fourth Valentine’s Day together. This little cottage bungalow was perfect for what we were hoping! It’s small, intimate, and incredibly charming. The walk to the beach, both late at night under the stars or during the day, was easy and convenient. The amenities were wonderful, with the kitchen and bathrooms fully stocked. The WiFi was very good, as we were both able to game on the same connection. The proximity to all the wonderful attractions in Nags Head made this the perfect gateway! Check in and out was easy, and hosts were highly responsive and reliable.

Clean and cozy. Perfect for me. They were very accommodating, as well. Less than two weeks before my stay, one of my dogs passed away. Within minutes of me asking, they refunded the pet deposit. Would definitely recommend.

Everything stood out! It was a perfect weekend get away for me. The cottage was exactly as I expected…small but very comfortable and had everything I needed, especially a full kitchen. Compliments to the host for having a well maintained property but, more important to me, being friendly and helpful throughout the whole rental process. Final note, the property is in a fantastic location on the ocean side and just a couple minute walk over the dune to the beach and minutes (without traffic) to all shopping and attractions. It was a WOW weekend for me.

Wonderful week in Nags Head. Peppers was just right for the 2 of us, and our dog loved it as well. Comfortable, clean and a very short walk to a great beach. Patio is lovely for drinks and stars. So glad we found it, and fully intend to return in the Spring for a couple of weeks.

Perfect Cozy Cottage!

We loved our weeklong stay at Pepper's Cottage! The newly remodeled cottage was cute and well-stocked. We appreciated the new kitchen appliances and the convenient beach access. We'd definitely stay here again!

This was our second opportunity to stay at Peppers Cottage, and in my wife's words, we found the experience to be delightful. The cottage is true to the listing, which is not always the case for a vacation rental. It is a small cottage; basically one open living space and a bathroom. We stayed 11 days, and jokingly referred to the cozy space as a "marriage test"! Fortunately, we are a Senior husband and wife who like each other, so we enjoyed the snug environs.The kitchen area was well-equipped with cooking appliances and implements. There was an empty 3-shelf cabinet to stow food we brought along. Bed linens and towels were provided. We found the bed to be comfortably supportive. There is a bureau with deep drawers for clothing, but minimal space for clothes that require a hanger. We invested in an inexpensive portable clothes rack purchased from an online retailer (named after a South American river), which eliminated that particular concern.One aspect of our stay we particularly enjoyed was the beach access. Using the access on the property was a struggle for us. However, there is a public beach access just two driveways to the south; it included an access mat which greatly facilitated beach access for us.We had no need for communication with management during our stay. However, Ronni was great in helping us arrange our stay, including an adjustment to our original reservation.Overall, we highly recommend Peppers Cottage. We look forward to our next visit!

A favorite place to stay

I have stayed at this cottage before as well as other Rentals on the Ocean rentals and every stay has been exceptional. The houses are older but so well taken care of and seem to be consistently updated on the inside and out as well as all of the amenities.

Perfect for senior Couple

Property is perfect for2 and a pet. Well equipped cottage for a getaway to the beach. Near handicap beach access and has private beach access. Minimal steps a plus for us. We would rent again.

Our Founder, Dr. Sarah Forbes passed away in 2011. She was a compassionate physician, dedicated to her patients becoming Norfolk General’s first female chief resident of OB/GYN.
In 1958, she became the first female physician to open a private OB/GYN practice in Newport News, VA.
Dr. Forbes was the first woman to be selected to the board, and the first female president, of the Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula, where she was honored as a member of the “Wall of Fame” – the first and only woman to be so honored in the club’s 65-year history.

Sarah was often honored for her contributions to the organizations she served, and the community she loved.
Among her many awards were the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities’ Humanitarian Award in 2007, and the Medallion Award which is the highest recognition presented by The Boys and Girls Club of America to volunteers.

She served as president of several community organizations that include the Virginia Peninsula Academy of Medicine, the Newport News Chapter of the American Cancer Society, the Newport News Medical Society, and the Peninsula Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Her generosity benefited many organizations, including the Cancer Society, the Newport News Medical Society, the Peninsula Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Family Planning Council, First Baptist Church of Newport News, the Peninsula SPCA, Mariners’ Museum, Riverside Hospital, and Christopher Newport University.

We are continuing Dr. Forbes’ Legacy
All of our vacation homes are owned by Sarah E. Forbes MD, Trust which continues her legacy by using our profits to make regular donations to the charities she loved.
We take care of the houses like she would have wanted.
