Mainsail Beach Inn on AMI

Although our trip was cut short in the late evening of the second day due to a family emergency back home we really enjoyed the time we had while there. The two bedroom was plenty big enough for my family of six.

Excellent accommodations on the beach with partial ocean view

Overall easy experience ;beautiful atrium ; right on beach which is powdery sugar like sand; wide clean beach ; amazing sunset: want to return with grandkids; pool is basic rectangle enjoyed the hot tub

Amazing Property

Great property overall, Condo more than met my needs, amenities were great. It is everything I needed. Location, beach, pool. Great staff, very informative of local restaurants and shopping.

Excellent stay

We thoroughly enjoyed the property and the management. Having bikes, paddleboards and kayaks available make the beach and island much more accessible and enjoyable. The property and rooms were clean, everything was in workable order and all the amenities in the room were high quality.

Mainsail Inn Holmes Beach

This condo was an amazing! The place was clean and ready to use. It was steps away from the beach and you have your own parking spot, which is necessary with a restaurant sharing the same parking lot. The staff (Matthew and Rhonda) went above and beyond to service us. I would highly recommend this place and I would stay there again.

Clean and well appointed

Very clean property. Nice amenities such as lounge chairs for the beach, paddle boards, kayaks, etc. It felt more like a hotel than a condo due to the great service from the on site management. The condo itself was modern and comfortable. The parking was the only drawback, and only because there's a busy restaurant next door which made coming and going in the evening an adventure.

Wonderful condo

What a beautiful location, right on the beach. The condo is in the back of the building, but there are two covered porches with chairs, one overlooking the pool. The beach is just a short walk out the front door. The condo was immaculate and the coffee and tea were much appreciated. We will be back soon. Thank you.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked two suites at Mainsail and invited 6 friends to join us for a 50th Birthday Celebration in early February. We loved Mainsail, the beach, Anna Maria Island and the time together. Mainsail is a very high quality facility with an incredibly accessible beach just out of its front doors. We like staying in good places and we would stay here again if we return to Anna Maria Island.

Reviewer Comments: Although the unit was clean and comfortable, the family staying in the unit above us sounded like they were playing soccer day and night. We had to leave a day early. We would like an one day refund for our trouble.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First time at this rental. We were blown away by the attention to detail in the unit and at the entire property. Extremely clean, all you would ever need or want. The location is in on a quiet street. Literally steps to the beach from your door. Umbrellas and ample lounge chairs provided for the beach. Free for use are several kayaks and stand up paddle boards. Bikes on property available. Pool was lovely, very clean with cozy lounge chairs. Staff of Rhoda and Matt were both pleasant, helpful, hard working and made us feel well taken care of and safe. Our room was beautifully furnished, well laid out, quiet, had any thing we needed. 10 out of 10! Can not wait to return to this gem!

Our New Getaway

Booking online is always a bit of a roll of the dice, but the Mainsail Beach Inn did not disappoint! We stayed in Unit 6 (aka 6B indicating upstairs) and it was exactly as described. If anything, it was better than I expected! The unit is perfect for a family - especially enjoyed the full kitchen with all the necessary items to cook and serve. Having a small child, we very much appreciated being right on the beach (literal steps!) and all the extras that MBI provides (towels, chairs, umbrellas, etc.). The staff was all lovely, as well. Coming up with any constructive input is a reach, but if anything I’d say drop the “host fee”. I realize this is common practice now, nevertheless feels like a bait-and-switch after someone picks their accommodations based on a nightly rate that doesn’t include either of these. For two nights we spent an additional $600 in fees alone. Ouch.

As Mainsail Beach Inn is a vacation rental all the “host fee” costs are a direct reflection of the costs for the amenity starter pack in your room, Mainsail Safe Cleaning upon departure, the lovely recreational amenities on property, and are all a direct cost from the property to the guest. Although we have these costs, we pride ourselves on taking into consideration the total cost of your stay to be competitive with nearby hotels and resorts that may not have these fees. We hope your travels bring you back to AMI and Beach Inn very soon.

The staff (Matthew, John and Rhonda) were so nice, friendly and helpful, Mainsail should be very happy to have them helping guests. We hope to be able to stay there again, have been coming to AMI for many years and this location is really perfect for couples or families, highly recommended!
