While the location is great, the start to our vacation was not. We arrived at midnight, exhausted and simply wanting to go to sleep but were not able to get into our suite as the code that was sent to us didn’t work. We called the after-hours number, which stated someone would try to get back to us within the hour. A voice message was left. Several calls were made after that as well. We also emailed several people and even used Facebook messenger attempting to get ahold of someone. We didn’t get any sleep – uncomfortable pool chairs, loud drunk people walking by, loud car exhausts/stereos, street sweeper driving back and forth, the sprinklers came on, and it was a cold night. We wouldn’t have been able to go anywhere without bringing our luggage with us and we didn’t dare go check into a hotel, fearing that as soon as we did we'd get a call to remedy our situation. It was about 9 hours later when a nice woman on the housekeeping staff showed up and got in touch with someone for us. And a man did call once we were in the suite and apologized but was insensitive to the position we had just been in, saying “at least it was a nice night to be outside”, clearly not understanding how wildly inconvenient it was to be stranded on the first day of vacation. On top of not sleeping at all the night we arrived, we weren’t able to do much the following day because we were all so tired and felt like we missed out on a solid day of vacation time. We were told the software turns off at a certain time and comes back on a certain time (conveniently the duration we were locked out) and basically blamed us because we did not letting them know we would be arriving late at night. We will not be staying at any of these properties again.
