We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful beachfront villa and cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, it felt like the perfect home base for our time in San JosĂ© del Cabo.The view alone is worth the trip. The balcony looks straight out over the ocean, and we were lucky enough to watch whales breaching from our seats more than once. It also overlooks the main pool with the swim-up bar, which was great for seeing how busy things were before heading down. Some days it was lively and fun, and other times we enjoyed the quiet from above with a drink in hand.The beach is stunning-wide, clean, and beautifully maintained. You can swim there, though as with much of Cabo there are no lifeguards, so it’s best to be mindful of the conditions. We loved walking along the shore and spending time just soaking in the scenery.The resort restaurants were very good, and what really stood out was the service. Even though we were staying in a condo rather than the hotel, everyone treated us with the same warmth and attentiveness as hotel guests. It made everything feel easy and welcoming.The location is also ideal. We took easy trips to Todos Santos and downtown San JosĂ© del Cabo, both of which were highlights, and the condo made a perfect, relaxing place to come back to after exploring.The villa itself is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The condo was great. It's a very pleasant place to stay and has most everything you need right on site, restuarants and pool as well as the beach just steps away. We got groceries and we had everything we needed to cook in-house. The beds as well as all other furniture was comfortable, it is everything you could want and it's very well decorated. I also appreciated that the community is gated.

Excellent vacation spot!

What a wonderful space. We found it to be the most well-equipped place we’ve ever stayed, the hosts were friendly and communicative and the location couldn’t have been better. We saw more whales while drinking coffee on the balcony than we did on a whale watching trip! Would definitely recommend and hope to stay here again.

Fiona and Dave were great to work with, their property was comfortable and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed, and the Zoetry resort suited us perfectly with attentive service and a relaxed atmosphere. Fantastic condo & location perfect vacation!

Fiona is wonderful to share their amazing condo with us again & great to communicate w/. It’s such a perfect spot and the bed is so comfortable! The kitchen has anything you might need to cook ( like no other rental we’ve experienced). The Casa Del Mar property is the same as when we visited 15 years ago, perfect! We enjoyed the Saltwater restaurant for a couple dinners, and Sr. Pez food trucks towards Dreams is the best Fish/sushi & drinks! (Closed Monday’s) We ate there 3x! Don’t miss the skilled massages at the tent by Sr. Pez & horseback riding with Javier or Benjamin.Can't wait to rebook!

Beautiful & Relaxing Setting

This property is everything it promises to be! The view of the ocean from the balcony where we spotted whales most mornings was one of the highlights of our trip. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked. We appreciated the landscaping and the beautiful flowers and care given to the grounds. Fiona was responsive and helpful to our questions during the pre-planning. The location of the property between Cabo San Juan and San Jose was convenient for us to enjoy both towns.

Best family trip ever!

Fiona was a fantastic host and very quick to respond to our many questions leading up to the trip, and during our stay. The interior of the unit is very well decorated, comfortable and new. None of it was the typical cheap beat up rental furniture, rather it's cozy and tasteful like you would have in your own home. All the beds were as specified and very comfortable. Plus the kitchen was very well stocked and included everything you need to cook at home (which was great for us since we have 2 young kids). The Zoetry property was amazing as well. The pools we're great to relax and play, staff was very accommodating and professional, and immediate proximity to walk on the beach. Perfect family vacation setting where you have the comforts of home and also the resort vibe if you're seeking that. We will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful & Relaxing

We loved everything about Fiona's condo. The pictures were accurate. The location was just above the pool with amazing views of the beach & ocean. Our highlights were 1) whale watching with morning coffee on the balcony, 2) a quiet, peaceful pool area with great service and no loud music or nonsense. The condo itself was clean, modern and well-stocked. It really felt like home. I would stay here again and highly recommend to friends.

Beautiful condo

Loved Fiona's condo! Gorgeous views and she had everything you could need. Communication was great. There is a daily resort fee to used gym and facilities. Something new. That being said, if you aren't going to use the gym, don't bother paying it. You will still need to use your credit card at pool and restaurants so there is really no advantage. Hotel pool can get really crowded(All inclusive set), but with Fiona's advice we used condo pools and they were amazingly peaceful and open later. Hotel pool stops serving at 3:00 and closes pool and hot tub at 8:00. But condo pools open until 10:00. Easy uber to both Cabo San Lucas and San Jose. This condo was very close to ocean, many others are set far back. Stop at Fresko on your way from airport and stock up. On site restaurant were just ok and a little pricey. The views and white sand beach of this resort are way better than the properties in Cabo san Lucas. If you go left at the beach and walk down to the Hilton they rent snorkel gear and have a swimmable beach. My daughter loved all the fish she saw and even heard a whale under water. Speaking of whales, we saw so many from the balcony I lost count. Paradise:)

Disappointing TV

Even better than expected. Everything 1st class except for the TV. They have Dish but no ABC, CBS, or NBC so no news or stock market except for U-tube. The only thing I would change on this property.

Perfect!!

Fiona and Dave are the best hosts!! They provided quick communication on everything!! Their place is even better in person than the photos! It is located right next to the Zoetry hotel. We used the main pool which is perfectly located right under their balcony. Fiona offered restaurant recommendations and insights on grocery stores among other things. We used the grocery store Freskos 3.2 miles away heading towards San Jose. We also ate at Zoetry restaurants, if you don't want to leave property. Overall the whole experience was amazing!! If you are considering going to Cabo this condo is perfect!! Our favorite restaurant is located just 10 minutes away from the condo at Cabo Surf, 7 Seas restaurant, if you get a chance I would highly recommend it! Thanks again Fiona and Dave! Cant wait to come back!!

Gaviota 301 on Mexican Independence Day

This property is beautiful. Fiona and Dave were great communicators and really helpful with questions about the local area. They were very concerned that we enjoyed our stay! 301 was Super clean, all new appliances, with washer dryer, granite counters and tile floors. The kitchen is perfect for cooking and we did a bit of that versus going out every night. The air conditioning worked really well and was a welcome respite after a toasty day out sightseeing. Coffee on the balcony at sunrise was a favorite activity. Lots of comfy chairs and a large couch to relax on. The view of the beach and west toward lands end is great and all of the sunsets are photo worthy. The property location is quiet, away from the gritty hustle and bustle of Cabo San Lucas and its cruise ships. It's closer to San Jose del Cabo which was a really fun place to explore and much more like an authentic Mexican village. This property is part of the Zoetry resort with access to the pool and beach side amenities which is nice. We were fortunate and had an up close view of the beach side Mexican Independence day activities and fireworks. Sunday night seems to be movie night as they put up a big screen in a large grassy area Sunday evening after sunset. The resort staff were all very friendly and helpful with getting our Spanish refreshed. There are yoga classes available along with a host of spa options. They have electric bikes for rent which can be used on the beach. The one thing to be aware of is ocean access. During our stay the water was red flagged and off limits. That was true of all the resorts along the beach. They each had a minder on the beach to ensure people stayed out of the water. The beach has a very steep (vertical) drop off with a strong shore break resulting in an undertow. We were told this is usually the case. During the winter months this might be different. Better beaches for swimming were Pamilla, Santa Maria, and Chileno. Getting an uber is fairly easy. We used a vendor called High Tide Excursions. scheduling a kayak trip and snorkeling to "lands end" with Carlos. The trip was super fun and Carlos was awesome. Using a local provider is a great way to get your water fix. Overall Gavoita 301 was a great place to stay and super comfortable. The bed was cushy and very comfy. The property is close to a big Fresko market great for groceries, wine, etc. The Zoetry resort is a boutique resort with just 57 total rooms, not a big box which we appreciate.

Highly Recommend! Fantastic condo!!

This is a beautiful condo and the pictures won't even do it justice. Very clean & modern, gorgeous view, a few steps to beach, pool, and boutique hotel spa & restaurants. Views from both bedrooms (and even master bath) are stunning. I rent through VRBO often, and this condo was the most "stocked" full of necessary items that I've seen. Full kitchen, all utensils, Nespresso machine(yay!!), beach towels, laundry & all detergents, hair dryers, plentiful towels, washcloths, blankets, shopping bags, beach totes, the list goes on. It really made us feel like we were staying at our own condo with all the comforts of home. Beds were very comfortable, sheets were quality/ soft, water pressure perfect, lighting in bathrooms bright, ample counter & closet/drawer space for all of your items. The condo/ hotel community is quiet, very clean, the grounds are more beautiful in person, and the staff is extremely attentive. Personally I loved the beach front restaurant, and ate there the most. The food was delicious! The restaurant in the hotel is beautiful, however we experienced very slow service, (perhaps they could have been short handed) It certainly did not effect our experience, as the ambiance is lovely and so are the servers. My advice, just don't sit down starving. :) Pool service for drinks was fast and drinks delish. The lounge chairs were plentiful and comfortable. There is an outdoor morning yoga class that my niece took everyday, as I sat watching the waves from the comfy deck furniture with my coffee in hand. If you have never been to Cabo or San Jose del Cabo, this condo/ hotel community is an easy 10 min Uber or Taxi ride into San Jose del Cabo (my favorite place in the world..restaurants shopping, art galleries), 20 min to Cabo (more night life, restaurants, shopping), and approx 30 min to and from airport. Two of my favorite places to eat for good food and atmosphere/ambiance are Casa Don Rodrigo and Funky Geisha. We used Ubers for everything and it works out great. The condo owner was incredibly attentive. Everything is straight forward, easy to access upon arrival, and all that was promised was accurate and followed through on. I would most definitely book this condo again, and I highly recommend it. Thank you Fiona!!

My husband Dave and I (Fiona) live in Calabasas in the greater Los Angeles area. We have three grown kids, Frank, Jack and Grace. As they grew up, they spread their wings. One lives in Indiana with his wife and baby, one in LA and one in Chicago. Cabo is our happy place where we all love to come together. We have owned Gaviota since 2015. We took it back to its shell & remodeled it over the next 5 months. We're here at least once a month enjoying the relaxed lifestyle and fun community. We just love it, and if you can find a gap in the calendar when we're not there, you are more than welcome to share in the experience. :-)

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION.
When we decided to buy in Casa Del Mar, we looked at many condos. Each had their own charm. It quickly became apparent that we needed a wish list.
* Unobstructed Oceanview, * Overlooking the pool and Beach, * Adjacent to the hotel,
* Afternoon sun, * Sunset & Night lights, * Upper level,
Gaviota was the first place we fell in love with and it ticked all the boxes.
The view was incredible and the 3rd floor location gave us the privacy we desired. We overlook the pool, the beach and the gorgeous night lights. The Condo needed a lot of TLC so we took it down to its bare bones and spent 5 months renovating it. Summer of 2024, we upgraded the kitchen counter, added a larger kitchen window and painted throughout. It was important to keep the hacienda feel of our surroundings and make it feel like home, so we focused on comfort and adding all the things we would find in our own home, in this home too.

Our Homeowners Assoc recently added 2 pickleball courts along side our Tennis Court, so don't forget to pack your paddles and balls, and come and enjoy. If you don't have your own paddles, there are loaners at the court.
