Could be a home away from home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was great everything was in order. Internet connection has much to be desired. Needs better access. People not following rules. There were several families who saved about 10 chairs at the pool daily.

Disappointing

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Issues with appliance Refrigerator & stove appears that the issues were known about before reporting. Water stains on ceiling. Looks like the units are on the decline in up keep. Very disappointing.

Depletion of inventory and delays in delivery schedules are causing the process to be longer than we and the owner would like. Points faibles : Propreté, arrivée et communication.

Late getting room ready fur check in, rushed us out for check out.

Received an email stating due to staff shortage we would be checking in late around 5pm. I called at 12 because some of our group had their room, called again at 4:00pm, 5:00pm, 6:00pm and finally at 6:30 we was given the code to get into the room. The room is a bit dated, the elevator (just 1) is painfully slow and small, don't take anything you can't carry up the stairs. The room wasn't clean with sand still in the floors from the last guests, older stained carpet and the oven has been beaten up, it does still work just looks like a crime scene. On Friday the office called and asked if we'd be leaving early and I told them no we would be checking out at 10:00 as agreed in the contract, i asked about a late check out and was immediately hung up on. At 8:00 [most of our group still asleep] housekeeping was banging on the door, we told her we would be leaving at 10:00. At 8:30 more knocking and housekeeping once again wanting to know when we were leaving. At 9:15 I walked out of the room and a housekeeper asked if that was everything and could she start. No, just the 1st trip to the car we would be leaving at 10:00 . With some paint, newer furniture and appliances and an upgrade or additional elevator this would be a great property.

We hope that you enjoyed your stay in Sandpiper. Our records show that your condo was ready at 4:48 and that you were given your door code at 4:59 pm. The elevators get a real workout on big check in days, so it's fortunate that you were on the first floor. We call all of our guests before the day of departure in order to get together a housekeeping schedule and apologize for the overzealous behavior of our housekeeping staff.

The master bedroom and bathroom were not good. bathroom not very clean, no hand towels, light bulbs in bathroom were very dim and didn't match, TV didn't work and really too small, stains in carpet, dresser drawer guides broken. guest bedroom TV did not work at all and bathroom lighting was very dim, the entry door key pad failed to work several times, the door would not stay closed because of an issue with the striker plate. the pool filter wasn't working at full capacity.

Perfect Condo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 14 A is a nice unit. All the basics and reasonably clean. I do wish bedspreads were washed in between bookings. Love the location over the pool, and the quick hop to the beach. The drastically narrower beach, but I hear that there is a restoration project starting soon. We have been staying at the Sandpiper for 35+ years. Now enjoying it with kids and grandkids and family friends. Perfect place for 3 generations.

Sandpiper is a great place but unit 14A isn't.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Sandpiper condos are a wonderful place to stay with great views of the beach and a nice pool area. Parking is good but the elevator is slow. Unit 14A is outdated. The floors were not clean, the stove's lower drawer was broken, the pots and pans were nasty. The refrigerator had several broken door shelves as well, not to mention the light inside looked like a fire hazard. The smell of the unit was musty and the air vents are not clean. The air unit struggled to keep 75 degrees (even at night). The carpets are dirty and also had sand spurs!!! The towels and bed sheets were clean and the bathrooms seemed clean as well (except the floors.) We will stay again at Sandpiper, but just not un Unit 14A.

Very disappointed in the décor, looked old and used. Love Sandpiper, hated condo.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Disappointed in condition of the items in the condo. On/off switch broken on the coffee pot. Had to start by pushing with the tip of a pen. Toilet paper kept falling off holder. Low water pressure in shower and shower plumbing loose in the wall. Mattress and box springs in both bedrooms were terrible. We would not rent this condo for future vacations.
