Colfax Cottage est situé en dehors du Beachwalk Resort, à quelques pas de la plage de Sheridan et deviendra rapidement votre chez-vous. Les 3 chambres peuvent accueillir confortablement jusqu'à 6 personnes. La suite principale est située au premier étage avec une salle de bain attenante attenante de 3/4, une chambre avec lit queen au deuxiÚme niveau avec une salle de bain attenante de 3/4 et une chambre double située également au deuxiÚme étage. niveau, avec un bain complet ci-joint. Le niveau principal accueille également une demi-salle de bain autonome supplémentaire pour une utilisation partagée. L'espace de vie ouvert avec cuisine complÚte et de nombreux siÚges pour dßner ou se détendre au coin du feu fait de Colfax Cottage un lieu de prédilection. L'intérieur de cette maison n'est pas la seule grande partie de cette location, ouvrez les portes du pont et entrez dans un tout autre espace de vie! Ce grand espace de pont sert de salon familial en plein air avec des siÚges, des tables et un grill.

Colfax Cottage, offre un grand parking dans la rue pour 3 vĂ©hicules, ce qui peut ĂȘtre assez difficile Ă  trouver dans une communautĂ© de plage. L'accĂšs Ă  la plage est Ă  quelques pas, Ă  seulement quelques minutes en voiture du zoo de Washington Park, de la marina et du phare. Les restaurants et les bars sont Ă©galement Ă  une courte distance en voiture, tout comme les magasins d'usine.
N'oubliez pas que Michigan City propose également des vergers pour la cueillette de pommes ou de bleuets, un quartier des arts chargé d'antiquités et de petits magasins familiaux.

Great location and nice layout. Just needs some TLC requiring light maintenance and repairs. Old smart TV in living area that requires updating. Numerous light bulbs out. Lock box should be mounted and not hung on the door handle. It can easily be stolen and opened elsewhere. A keypad entry lock makes more sense. Shower heads should be replaced with an adjusted spray unit. Somebody needs to provide a more critical eye on the condition of the property.

Reviewer Comments: We were coming in from out of town for the weekend and received the call that our rental was no longer available because of a gas leak, but this company was professional and already had another property available for the weekend and quickly moved us to the new location and I would say it was a great location and beautiful cottage and would definitely not only recommend but will likely book this cottage when we are back in town.

Otherwise, pics are a bit deceiving as they leave the impression that there is an unobstructed view from the door, rather than a big house. Thank you for supplying firewood. In off season, consider stocking as a routine courtesy. Door lock was problematic but mgmt and maintenance were very responsive.

Cute house but Did Not Meet Expectations

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were satisfied overall but have a few complaints. The TVs were inoperable because there were no batteries in the remote so at 8:45pm we drove out to the gas station (come to find out it closes at 9pm). We tried calling the phone number and no one answered. The deck furniture is missing despite what it shows in the picture on the listing. 2 out of 3 rows in the grill did not light (probably clogged). The deck faces the front of another house, which doesn't feel private. The upstairs mattresses are very firm, my friends found them to be uncomfortable. The only view is of houses closely situated all around you. The place was quite clean though.

Great cottage next to lake

Would recommend! Perfect budget friendly cottage for a stay next to the beach. We loved the beach wagon provided. However no beach chairs or beach towels, so bring your own. Quick drive into new Buffalo to check out Michigan.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First off- we LOVE the Colfax Cottage. We've been staying every year for the last few years. I have ZERO complaints but do have feedback. The place needs a bit of an update. The rugs in the bathroom need a good washing, the blankets have stains, the guest blanket has a huge rip in it. The light bulbs dont all work. I honestly love it so much though that i couldn't bring myself to complain about it while we were there. It just needs a little more love. When we go for two weeks we try to keep it very clean but there isn't a vacuum. Yes there is in the closet but to be honest, it is worthless. It doesn't even pick up sand. I asked the cleaner mid week and she agreed.

A Fabulous Place to Stay

I totally loved the experience. The house was perfect. My husband and I slept on the mainfloor and my daughter and her family slept upstairs. We were close to the beach and our deck was very private. I plan on renting that same cottage every summer indefinitely. It was wonderful!

Perfect friends weekend

We stayed two nights in this darling cottage which was just the right size. It was very clean and decorated with a beachy theme. (There was a maintenance problem, which Beachwalk offered to take care of immediately. But it was fine with us to wait until after we checked out. It did not interfere with our stay in the least.) We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I emails a couple of questions before our arrival and received responses within a few hours. Unfortunately, the beach near the house was closed due to Covid. Fortunately the Dunes National and State Parks were nearby and were open (with limited visitors). I would like to go back after Covid when everything is open again.
