Alfama - Appartement sur 2 niveaux avec une vue imprenable

L'appartement est dans un immeuble ancien et entièrement rénové par nos soins. Nous avons renversé de nombreux murs pour créer une atmosphère ouverte et aérée dans tout l'appartement. La terrasse était un élément clé pour nous lorsque nous avons acheté l'endroit et nous y avons passé de nombreux matins, déjeuners et soirées magnifiques en admirant la vue et en admirant le soleil de Lisbonne. La fenêtre de toit au deuxième étage annonce la légèreté. Nous aimons cuisiner ensemble, et comme il y a tellement d'excellents produits alimentaires disponibles au Portugal, nous avons créé une cuisine conçue pour les cuissons d'équipe. Beaucoup d'espace et un îlot de cuisine en font un endroit idéal pour être ensemble. La cuisine est intégrée dans le salon, ce qui en fait le centre naturel des amis et de la famille. Alfama, la vieille ville avec sa myriade de ruelles et de ruelles, bars et restaurants sont juste devant la porte. Explorez le château, le Panthéon et le monastère à pied et profitez-en pour acheter des antiquités au Feira de Ladra (le plus grand et le meilleur marché aux puces de Lisbonne). Le métro est à seulement 200 mètres de l'appartement et vous permet d'accéder facilement à toutes les attractions de Lisbonne et il y a des bus dans la rue elle-même pour vous rendre à Expo en 15 minutes.

We really enjoyed our stay, the property is lovely and the location was great. Very comfortable beds and nice hot showers. There are quite a few stairs to get up to the unit but we managed.

Great location for nearby restaurants and shops. The Saturday (&Tuesday) market was a block away. You have to be good with hills and stairs to stay anywhere in this area, but it's worth it!

The apartment worked great for us and our two teenage boys. Lots of room and two bathrooms were a plus. The main room upstairs unfortunately is not closed in or very sound proof but overall the stay was incredibly comfortable and we greatly appreciated all the homely creature comforts the host thought of which most hotels would not have. The view of the Pantheon lit up at night from the balcony is superb and we felt very safe and comfortable at this VRBO. We would not recommend this VRBO though to seniors or anyone who has difficulty with stairs due to the apartment being up 3 flights of steep steps.

When we arrived at the property we discovered that it was located on the 3 floor and there was no elevator. We had to take all our luggage up 43 steps to reach the unit. The primary bedroom is on the 2nd floor of the unit but it is a loft room in the attic so no door for privacy. The bathroom for that unit has a sloped roof so if you are a man of average height you will hit your head when taking a shower. On the last day we noticed tiny bugs coming out of the countertop beside the cooktop on the kitchen.

The house was clean and the house us spacious. The neighborhood was very loud on Friday night-peopke yelling, cars honking, things being dragged down the road. The primary shower is wonky-the ceiling is angled and its tough for anyone over 5 ft 7 to shower comfortably.Thursday and Saturday nughts in the house were much quieter on the street and easier to sleep.
