Great location with beautiful scenery

The pictures of the balcony are a bit deceiving considering it is not a wrap around, but does offer beautiful views. The dryer had limited use and a load would have to be ran 2-3 time before items were dry. It was respectably clean and all the personnel with the management company and workers were very friendly.

General Review

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was clean, but the unit was not. I had to clean and wash linens upon arrival. The beds were not comfortable at all, I slept on the couch the entire stay. The location was great. Our balcony curtains fell, and were never put back up due to the curtain bracket having to be ordered.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked this property the week before our stay for a last min summer beach run. This property was a bit small (6 adults, one 9 month old) and more dated for my tastes than the pictures reflected. With some new bed linens and some updated decor it could be a really cute place. The bathrooms had been recently redone and were nice, though small. The elevators were an issue 3 of the 4 days we were there. At one point both elevators were out of service so the stairs were the only option. The property management was outstanding! Very communicative and helpful. We had to have a package overnighted to us and they let us know as soon as it arrived. It did the job for a last minute stay in peak summer for a good price.

Water issues for the second year in a row!

Last year we stayed at SunSwept and got flooded out of our first floor room and they moved us to another room that same night. This year a pipe sprung a leak and we had to stay in our room with fans blowing and we had no water until the plumber came to fix the pipe. We did move the next day to a new room and we were told the room would be ready for us to move into at 5 and it was not ready. So two nights of our trip were ruined due to the water issue. We did get a refund of two nights and they let us stay an extra night in the new room but we will not be giving Sunswept a third chance next year. If we return to Orange Beach we will stay elsewhere. We love the area and the beach but some other facility will be getting our business in the future.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This 3 bed 3 bath property was located as stated with a stunning view of the beach. The condo was neither clean or well-maintained. There were cheerios and pieces of children's toys laying around that clearly should have been swept. Dirt crusted the corners in the bathrooms, grout and caulk was filthy, most furniture was in poor condition, refrigerator handle was duct taped together, mismatched paint was slapped over unfilled holes in walls, many light bulbs were out, and hinges on toilet lids were crusted with old urine. Kitchen appliances and counters were in good condition. The office staff was extremely friendly and welcoming.The pool area was well maintained and access to the beach was convenient.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a stay at Sunswept. It was never crowded. We came late, so the office called me and gave me the easy instructions to get into our condo.The condo was not as clean as we would like it when we arrived. The vacuum cleaner didn’t work, the front door doesn’t lock from the inside.The freezer had a terrible fishy smell every time we opened it. The King bed was as hard a rock ( maybe not that hard).Those are all small problems that can be solved. We will come back to Sunswept but will choose a different condo.Nice pool!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was just what we wanted however, the floors were filthy. I walked barefoot in the condo for about 10 minutes and my feet were black. Whoever is cleaning the unit is not mopping it. Also, I get that we are to bring our own food and supplies but even in a hotel room you get coffee. You can tell you throw everything away after a guest leaves, but could you at least leave condiments and or coffee?

Reviewer Comments: The view was spectacular, however the condo itself could use some major updating and additions. The dishes were dirty, the fans made awful noises, the beds made a hideous crinkle sound because of what we assume was protective sheets, the coffee pot could be updated, a couple amenities would be nice like salt and pepper at a minimum, none of the decor matched, still had Christmas stuff out like a poinsettia and Christmas soap.

October vacation

The room had issues. Dishwasher leaked, dryer wouldnt dry clothes and bathtub drain was clogged. Other than the the view was spectacular from our room and the rooms were nice enough. We enjoyed our stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Was fantastic. Room was a bit dated but very clean and plenty of room. Bathrooms had been remodeled beautifully. This unit was on corner so balcony was big with great views! I loved this building because it was not a skyscraper condo, I think only 8 floors? Therefore not a huge number of people trying to get on and off elevators. Not to mention the beach area for this building was not crazy packed because of the smaller size. Up and down the beach you could see how insanely packed those HUGE condo beaches were, Walmart right across the street not to mention restaurants and shops. Traffic was no problem in the area also. It was week of 4 of July and we were kind of regretting our decision but it was wonderful! When we go back this will definitely be where we stay! Also the security guard was always around and he was on it! That was comforting to know that he took his took his job seriously and he did it well. We spoke a couple times and I wish I had got his name. Also the staff were very friendly and always helpful, we were very impressed. See y’all next time!
