Bienvenue dans notre maison de côte récemment rénovée. Situé dans une communauté souhaitable du sud de Venise. Plusieurs belles plages telles que Venise, Manasota et Sharky sont situées à seulement quelques kilomètres. L’avenue historique de Venise, avec ses boutiques uniques, ses restaurants exceptionnels, ses événements spéciaux, son marché de producteurs, son court de tennis et sa fontaine pour enfants, ainsi que la piste cyclable Legacy Trail (de Sarasota à Venise) se trouvent à proximité. Cette maison de vacances idéale est située dans un quartier calme et paisible, ce qui en fait un lieu idéal pour toutes les saisons. C'est un endroit idéal pour faire du vélo, courir et marcher. Vous allez adorer ma maison car elle peut accueillir des couples, des aventures en solo ou des familles avec enfants et des tapes. Enfin, si vous êtes amoureux des animaux, vous pourrez voir une variété d’oiseaux sur la propriété, notamment l’ibis, le héron et l’aigrette neigeuse.

Perfect house in South Venice

The house is adorable.Great location. We biked the Legacy Trail everyday. Anxious to return and I highly recommend to other guests.

Convenient location, well equipped smaller home..

The location is probably the best thing about this house. Close to several beaches, including Brohard Paw Park and Beach... a great beach for well behaved dogs. We had a few problems, one with Dirty water coming up into shower when doing laundry. Another with smell and taste of water, although we know much of Florida doesn’t have good tasting water...this one smelled quite bad. The owner was responsive and helpful when we had tv issues and computer access problems...he came over to the house and helped us. There were some negotiations needed after check out with extra charges. Although I finally reached a price with Jan, the owner, I think VRBO charged me the higher amount.

Very pleased with our stay!

My mother and I stayed here for 2 weeks and really enjoyed our stay! The house is in a great location, very close to a variety of stores, and only 10-15 mins away from 3 beaches! And, the house even had beach chairs and an umbrella for us to use! The front of the house has a porch light that is on a timer, which was helpful in the evenings. There is also a security camera at the front door. The front door, along with the door in the garage that leads outside, has double locks for safety. There is a large screened in porch in the back (connected to the full kitchen via a very nice sliding door; you also can gain access to the porch from the second bedroom). The flooring in the house and in the porch looked new and clean. And, there’s a washer and dryer in the garage. The only thing that the house needed was the shrubbery trimmed in the back yard. We would definitely consider staying here in the future!

A perfect Christmas getaway!

The house was very clean and comfortable, and the neighborhood felt safe. A short drive to the beaches, dining and shopping. Coming from wintery WI we really enjoyed checking out what FL was like in December. The fenced in yard was so convenient for our dogs (and us) after 3 days of travelling/hotel stays. Would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable home

The house was very comfortable, and had all the necessities. We unfortunately did not get to make use of the proximity to the beaches because of family business, but there were towels and beach chairs a plenty if we'd had the chance. Jan was very helpful when we had a question about our reservation, and I will consider one of his properties first the next time I'm in the area.

six weeks in sunny Venice

Jan met us upon our arrival and did a walk thru showing us where everything was, etc. The house is in an ideal location, easy to get to US 41, the main drag. Lots of eateries, etc abound. METRO Diner had awesome fish fries and it's a special on Fridays. The yard is totally fenced which was great for our two dogs. They loved chasing geckos ;-) The neighborhood is quiet and we walked ea morning and evening with the dogs. There is a nearby park, Shamrock Park, which has paths to stroll and connects to the Legacy Trail. We were able to see the illusive gopher tortoises finally during our last week. We drove to both Oscar Shearer State Park as well as Myakka River State Park for walking and picnicking. Visited Historic Spanish point which is also pet friendly. There is a dog beach in Venice too. The dog park at Woodmere and Jacaranda was nice as well. The fishing pier was nice and no license is needed there. In the garage there were beach chairs and shark tooth shovels. That was a fun day in the sun and we did find a few. Jan's house was clean and had ample space for us. Washer and dryer in the garage were a plus. I have two suggestions: since the master bedroom does not have a ceiling fan, perhaps an oscillating stand fan would be nice since it got warm even with the a/c on in there. And secondly, I think a small gas grill from Walmart would be a nice addition rather than charcoal one. Check out was easy without having a huge to-do list like many rentals have! Thanks Jan
