COSY Cottage ~ PrĂšs de la plage ~ GOLF GRATUIT !!!

Pop's Place est une confortable maison de 2 chambres 2. 5 salles de bains située dans Old Florida Cottages. Old Florida Cottages sont prÚs de Gulf Place le long des plages de South Walton sur 30A.

-Le premier étage a la cuisine, le salon et la salle à manger ainsi qu'une salle de bain 1/2. Le canapé du salon est un dormeur.

-Le deuxiÚme étage a une chambre principale avec salle de bain privée et une chambre avec un lit queen qui a une couchette double au-dessus, également avec une salle de bain privée.

Beaucoup d'espace porche, chaque chambre a son propre balcon ainsi. Piscine communautaire avec grillade.

This house and location are ideal for small family beach vacations, we love the area and proximity to the beach. The main thing to note is this house is very dated...the appliances are older, the dishwasher has rusted racks, the washing machine shakes the whole house, the shower drained was clogged and took almost a week to resolve and the ice maker does not work (although the property provided 2 bags of ice). This house would be ideal for its size if they would just invest a little money in upgrades...but it was one of the more cost effective options in this area. The neighborhood is nice, the pool was nice and the proximity to food and activities was great.

Great for kids!

We had the best view of the pool, so even if the kids wanted their freedom to go swim alone we were able to watch them from our balcony. Very close to the beach, renting the bikes was an excellent idea bc it made bringing our gear to the beach fun! Just load it in the bike cart! Forever memories were made, would recommend to everyone.

Beach Bottom Bandits

We had a great time at your place. It was a last minute stay for the latter part of Spring Break and convenient to beach, Goatfeathers, Golf cart Rentals, etc... The pool was heated for the kids and the neighborhood was quaint and quiet. No big issues at all. We would definitely stay here sgain.

Wonderful

The location is perfect. The pool is steps outside the back door, and the beach is a super short walk. It was calm, quiet, and family-friendly. We will be back!

Close to Everything!!

Great place if you want a little bit of everything. You are literally steps from the either the beach or a pool. Grills by the pool to walk to fish market and get fresh fish. 4 restaurants/bars within walking distance as well. Place is a little dated, but don't usually care much because of locality of everything. WIFI is a little slow.

Great location and property

Fantastic property for a small family. Great location to a fantastic beach. Pool is essentially in the back yard. Great communication with the property manager (via text and phone). Had an issue with the washer which they provided a great solution. Awesome area with lots of dining and shopping near.

Pop's Place

Perfect for me and my son. Everything was wonderful. Check-in/Check-out was seamless and the place was very nice and clean. Short walk to the beach and to restaurants. We rented a golf cart for getting around town. But not necessary.

Nice place but...

The place is very nice but there are a few things that definitely need to be updated in the house. My main problem was that the place was VERY dirty when we got there. We ended up spending a hour or so cleaning. I even had a nice encounter with a giant roach in the kitchen. Other than that the location was great and the house was nice.

Great Property

The location of this property is wonderful. It is not a long distance to the beach, and very close to the community pool. This home is perfect for your small family/friend beach vacation. The home was clean and well maintained. The appliances are dated, but we didn't really cook anyway.

Did the job.

The property was well equipped for the most part. A/C worked great, that was a good bonus! Stains on sheets and towels were disappointing as all are white & that never makes a guest feel good. Overall, it was a good place to stay.

Great location.

The location of the property made the vacation. The pool access and beach being in walking distance was perfect. Bike rentals and restaurants were all in walking distance making the location perfect. Now as far as the housekeeping of the home : The master bed room was nice. Except for the yellow stain on sheets and the hair. ( iI read this in previous reviews too) Sand residue, sandels and readers found. The extra bed room had its own bathroom and huge closet very nice except for the top bunk. I thought would be nice but my son could not sleep due to the plastic cover noise and every time he would roll over the bed would rock. It was rickety. Underneath their bed was a bowl and shirt or shorts. The big issue we had was we expected to have some nights eating in due to the gas prices. We bought extra groceries and started dinner to find out the oven didn't work. When we did let the owner know the response was not as to be expected . It was like we were troubling him or being an inconvenience to his time. 2 days later a guy knocks on the door unannounced saying he was to look at the oven. My 16 and 18 kids were there by their self so this kind of upset me. And the oven never did get fixed. Free Golf package was first advertised as noted in Santa Rosa only to found out after we booked they went private and my husband had to schedule places 30 min away. When speaking to the owner about this once again he was not very approachable. Thank goodness I like to clean, I don't use the oven and my husband spoke to the owner. The house has a great location.

House needs a revamp

Expectations were not too high after reading other reviews, but we were still disappointed with the house. Cleanliness and general maintenances is an issue. There was a smell when we walked in which most likely stems from a leak in the wall behind the toilet next to the kitchen. We had 3 different encounters with roaches - kitchen and upstairs. We did notify the rental company and they had the house sprayed. The furniture is dirty in the family room. Microwave is fixed with duct tape. The master bathroom floor was not cleaned - had black hair and powder on floor. The location is the selling point, so close to the beach. Make sure to walk down and see a sunset.

PERFECT LOCATION

The location is great and the property management was great to work with. I was a little disappointed in the cleanliness of the property. Basic housekeeping was fine but the ceiling fans were covered with dust. The air vents as well as the baseboards were very dirty. I lost an earring at one point and looking under the couch, I found a t-shirt, multiple bottle caps and more dust. On the day of check-in, we had to wait about 20 minutes while the unit was being cleaned. Housekeeping told us that they were shorthanded and that they were doing the best they could. I completely understand this with our country's work force at the moment and I am certain that when the rush season is over a major house cleaning will take place.

Needs a fresh coat

We love the location, will visit again. I recommend a fresh coat of paint inside in certain areas. I also recommend changing out the door handles especially on the outside where, evidently , salt air and moisture, has made it look older. And it wouldn’t be a bad idea to upgrade the toilet paper Instead of the cheap stuff. Just a walk-through to check if everything seems fresh would benefit this stay even more.

This house was perfect for our family of four.

It was easy to reserve, find, and it was so cute. It was a short walk to the white, soft sandy beach. We could walk to get food and go shopping too. Tons of great seafood was had. My husband even took our girls fishing. People were friendly and we felt very safe. I would suggest Pop’s Place.
