Murs épais en pisé, dalles et planchers de bois franc, draps de luxe, nouveaux lits / canapés, laveuse / sécheuse. Délicieusement meublé avec une ambiance industrielle.

Grande salle immense avec plafonds à poutres apparentes de 12 pieds et murs supérieurs en adobe. Une table de réunion en bois recyclé et à hauteur de bar à pipe pouvant accueillir 8 personnes vous permet de converser animée pendant le passage des cyclistes et des piétons. Adjacent au canapé / fauteuil confortable pour 9 personnes. La chambre avant a un lit queen, la chambre sunroom a une mousse mĂ©moire surmontĂ©e roi qui peut convertir en deux jumeaux (moyennant un supplĂ©ment.) Il y a aussi une "cave Ă  vin" entiĂšrement finie avec un lit de repos (ne compte pas comme une chambre il n’a pas une fenĂȘtre suffisamment grande vers l’extĂ©rieur pour respecter le code moderne.)

Remarque: en raison de l'escalier raide et non pavé qui mÚne à la cave à légumes, cette maison ne convient pas aux jeunes enfants.

An Oasis Close to Everything!

Our stay in Tucson was fantastic. Nancy’s attention to detail; her passion about the history and integrity of the property was evident. We loved the ability to walk just about everywhere, with easy street parking when we drove. Our favorite place to unwind after a day of exploring was the courtyard. We’re already planning our next trip!

Family weekend

We had a wonderful stay at The Bakery with our son and daughter-in-law. The house was lovely and had everything we needed. It was in a great location, close to downtown and walking distance to fun restaurants. It was also a short drive to beautiful hiking trails. 5 Star Rating goes to Nancy. She was an awesome host. A little piece of heaven in Old Tucson

My self and my 2 daughters had a wonderful week in this perfectly appointed interior and exterior charmer. We walked in town, explored the neighborhoods, ate our meals both in the well stocked kitchen and in local spots and spent many wonderful hours on the Lucious back patio. The authenticity along with the comforts were a magic combination. I would go back her in a minute as would my girls. The owner was always prompt with communication which is so important. What a joyous place to spend a week.

Great close in neighborhood

Perfect Stay

The bakery was perfect for our needs to have a mini vacation in n Tucson. Super comfortable will everything you need. The unit is in a quiet little neighborhood walking distance to downtown. The little garden was lovely to enjoy morning coffee and the living room spacious and relaxing.

Perfect Tucson Vibe

The listing for the Bakery was intriguing and pictures and description created high expectations. The property not only delivered, it was better than advertised! The place is immaculate and very well appointed. Design is historic with all the modern touches and conveniences. Perfect blend of old and new. Quiet and relaxing in a great neighborhood. We especially enjoyed the walled garden/patio - lush flowering plants in the day and romantic twinkling lights at night. The great room is grand for group conversation and activity and comfortable for remote working. Only a few blocks walk to historic downtown and lots of shopping by day and entertainment by night, as well as free streetcar to take us to the university of Arizona. Host Nancy was excellent. Thank you, Nancy, for a great stay in a unique historic property.

Perfect location and lodging for our stay

The Bakery was the foundation of our wonderful stay in Tucson. The property itself was all we imagined it would be from photos and the across-the-board excellent reviews... charming, clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. We did not want for anything while we were there. Outstanding location walkable to downtown. Nancy, the host, was extremely prompt in answering any questions, and check-in and check-out communication was clear and complete. Fabulous!

Check in easy with very helpful host Nancy. Property was immaculate, comfortable and loaded with many thoughtful touches. Neighborhood in close proximity to downtown Tucson. Can walk to many restaurants, bars, etc. We loved our stay! Cooked at home a couple of nights, just enjoying the beautiful patio. Cannot praise this gem of a property enough! Book it! Tucson is fun!

Lovely Historic Property

We absolutely loved staying at the bakery! The neighborhood is funky & eclectic and reminded us of our old stomping grounds in North Berkeley. The property is quiet, comfortable, well-appointed and we really enjoyed the enclosed patio. It was very relaxing and larger than we expected. The location is great and we took a few walks around the neighborhood as well as to the market and dining downtown. We loved it and will certainly be back!

Comfortable Home / Great Location!

The Bakery was perfect for us. Great layout with a large family room with comfortable seating, fully equipped kitchen, nice bedrooms with comfortable beds, and two nice bathrooms. Great Stay!

The Bakery was amazing! The pictures depict it wonderfully. You can tell the hosts pride themselves in attention to detail. It was fully stocked with everything that you may need. A very detailed list of things to do and places to eat is provided and was very much appreciated by us as it was our first visit to Tucson. We had some very great meals all walking distance from the Bakery. The area felt safe and was relatively quiet. I would stay here again.

Lovely Restored Property

We stayed at the Bakery while we attended the Gem and Mineral Show. Our host sent information in advance with recommendations that greatly enhanced our enjoyment. The Place is unique and beautifully restored. Everything was clean and comfortable. Nancy's attention to detail to both her property and her guests experience makes this a standout place to stay!

Baked in Goodness!

A big shootout to Nancy who awesome! Got us into the property early which saved us unnecessary time rooming with our luggage. Quiet, peaceful, safe and a short walk to DT. We felt at home with space to enjoy! Rear patio was a great gathering and relaxing spot. The facility was stocked with everything you could think of which made the stay super easy. We will be back!

Unique and charming

Comfortable, clean, great location, attention to detail! Host was very attentive. They have thought through how to make the stay fantastic. Back patio was truly an oasis. The host definitely has a green thumb. Great place to just kick back and relax. Has a grill but we didn’t use it. The kitchen is outfitted with everything you’d ever need. Beds were soft and comfy. Would definitely recommend if you want a unique, special place to stay in the heart of town.

Amazing property

Loved this property!! Beautiful lighting and space. Recently rented the property as central location near my wedding venue at the Stillwell House. The natural lighting and setting made for beautiful pictures. The bakery had everything we needed and the space for getting ready for the Wedding. Light Lively Location

Very comfortable to hang out with small group of friends for mini reunion. Liked that both bathrooms accessible to all. Spacious living area and courtyard. Kitchen very well stocked. Wonderful weekend getaway!

What a beautiful and unique historic home - we absolutely LOVED it! My girlfriends and I came to Tucson for a little reunion getaway, and I cannot say enough positive things about our stay. The place was immaculate and Nancy is a fantastic host, very responsive and provided a lot of great info about the house and things to do in the area. The Armory Park location was perfect for walking to downtown Tucson and 4th Avenue shopping, or just walking around in general - such a cool neighborhood! But back to the house.. very comfortable for our 3 nights there, love the decor and history of the home. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the lovely courtyard with our morning coffee (ahhhh, thinking about it now!) My husband is jealous after seeing the pictures, so we'll definitely keep this on the radar for our next trip to Tucson. Thank you again, Nancy - it was an absolutely wonderful stay!

Historical Tucson

Wonderful historic home. Nancy did a wonderful job with remodeling the bakery into a beautiful home. The design and eclectic decor with historical pieces is amazing. We so enjoyed the courtyard. It was magical. Especially in the evenings. The location was great. Close to bars and restaurants. Nancy also is one of the top hosts I’ve dealt with. We would stay again when in Tucson.

I've lived in Tucson most of my life and love it. My husband and I have traveled a lot, and enjoy exploring older, eclectic neighborhoods-the less 'planned,' the better. We love commercial/industrial buildings converted to residential use; steampunk and industrial style decor; modern mixed with antiques, repurposed objects, and old urban neighborhoods that are being revitalized.
That is why we bought the Bakery. We want to live here full time when we retire. A few years away, but since this is a one-of-a-kind building, we had to get it when it became available.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

The Bakery is the 'real thing.' It is featured on the first page of the application for Historical Status for Armory Park. It predates most the city records, first appears on the Sanborn Insurance maps between 1896 and 1904. It was large for an adobe building of that time, and was most probably a barracks. We don't know much before the late 1930's, when it was a grocery store. It was also printing shop, pinball repair shop and lastly a Bakery before being converted.
It is light filled, airy, unique and cool.
Everyday activities take on an almost spiritual, timeless quality. There is no other home exactly like this; probably because of it's long and changing history.

The thick adobe walls provide a quiet sanctuary, while the preserved Bakery storefront allows you to view the activity outside. It offers the rare combination of being in the middle of everything, while being quiet and private.

Armory park is an eclectic, revitalizing urban neighborhood, where there is something interesting, different, and often weird around every corner. It is the best place in Tucson to live if you want to forego driving for a while. It is within walking or streetcar distance to anything you could need.

This area of Tucson is one of the oldest continually occupied places in North America. It has a tolerant, laid back vibe, and thriving art/culture scene, and very little pretentiousness. Wear your comfortable clothing, or dress up if you feel like it.
