I love hosting and Giving my guests an opportunity to enjoy this beautiful Lake front gem only 15 minutes to Kelowna. We are located on a private lake which only allows boats for lakefront owners. Perfect for Paddle Boarding, Kayaking or just all round floating without the worry of boat chop and a lot of boat noise unlike the bigger public lakes. Free paddle board and kayak rentals for 4 day bookings or longer.

Great place to stay

My family and I recently stayed in Rods place and it was perfect! Beautiful lake view, comfy beds and the kids loved the big couch. Rod was super accommodating and friendly. We will for sure be back to stay at this beautful place.

Oasis on the water

Beautiful ground floor apartment right on the water with outdoor deck/patio, direct access to the lake, hot tub, BBQ and the most comfortable pillows with a fully stocked kitchen and TV in each room. Fantastic location and stay!

Beautiful Place

It's a great place with a beautiful view. The deck was lovely, the hot tub was great, the kayaks were fun. My dog had a blast as well. Rod was communicative and nice. I would stay here again.

Great getaway on the lake

Was a great stay, right on the beach. Host was pleasant to deal with and accommodations were comfortable. The hot tub is a nice touch. Recommend renting the kayaks or paddle board that the host owns, and go down around the corner of the lake to the bird sanctuary. We had a great time.

Fantastic Spot Just Outside Kelowna

Great spot on a private lake so there isnt as much boat traffic. Close enough to Kelowna to be able to drive in for dinner and still have sunlight left to go for a quick paddle on the lake. Right across from the Jammery which is a great little breakfast/brunch spot. Rod is a great host.

Wonderful stay. Gracious host.

Wonderful place for our family to stay for a relaxing vacation. There was space to visit with family and friends. The lake being so close was fabulous for the teens and adults. Rod was a gracious and hospitable host. He responded quickly when asked regarding a small problem. Definitely would stay again.

Lakefront relaxation

House was located in the perfect spot for us to visit our son. The lakefront made the long drive worth it, with easy access to the water for our dog. Rod took the time to provide us some bug spray that we didn't pack and always checked in on us, and was very friendly and personable.

Great Experience

I rented this place for 2 nights while in Kelowna to pick up my daughter from University. Rod was great with the communication and met me to walk me through everything. Cute place on a wonderful quiet lake. The hot tub and couch overlooking the water were fantastic. Great spot - close to campus and the airport. Rod was a great host and made the trip easy. Would stay here again for sure!

Perfect view of the private lake while soaking in the hot tub

Rod and his pets are the perfect hosts. They are there just when you needed them and you don’t notice they’re around most of the time. The property is perfectly located by the private lake front. We spend most of our time outside lounging around under the deck, on the sun deck, paddling leisurely, or in the hot tub. We lucked out one night and experienced the rare severe geomagnetic storm that triggered a spectacular aurora display at the right place and at the right time. We’ll definitely stay here, again, if we’re visiting the area in the future.

Okanagan Gem

Wow, wow, wow is all I have to say. When we arrved at the property we were greeted by our host, Rod, who showed us around and was very accomodating during our stay. Everything was exactly as expected, clean, comfortable, cool for sleeping, privacy, and the million dollar view. Oh, and no need to pack anything other than your clothes, we packed way to much and everything we needed was there. Thanks Rod for a wonderful stay!

Super disappointed in home owner

My family and I have stayed at many VRBO properties and they were all great until this one. It wasn't so much the property that disappointed us, but the attitude and response of Rod, the homeowner. We originally planned to stay 8 nights but were one of the families affected by the wildfires in Kelowna. We could only stay 2 nights, then had to leave due to the smoke and terrible air quality. Our daughter has respiratory issues and the Government of Kelowna asked all non-essential visitors to leave, so that is what we did. Rod stopped returning my text messages when we knew he needed to give us a refund and also refused to answer calls from VRBO when they contacted him about a refund. We are just glad that VRBO was honest and gave us a refund, although it took over a month. Aside from that, the inside of the property needs a good professional clean. The oven, range hood, kitchen cupboards, baseboards, and outside of the shower were really gross. Also, it doesn't say in the description but this is a basement unit with the owner living above. Other than that, the beach is lovely and the location itself is nice, kind of away from all the busy-ness of the City areas. Be prepared to buy condiments since the fridge was bare of ketchup, mayo, mustard and the basics.

I am very saddened by the fact that you would leave such a disturbing review. considering my many other amazing reviews most people will see that you have issues. You did not get what you wanted so this is how you retaliate. You checked in stayed for 3 days and chose to leave early because none of your friends showed up.

Not so private getaway

Nice enough place. The dishes were clean. Some towels could use replacing. The couch and carpet although comfy have seen better days in terms of cleanliness. Spacious with spare bedroom for our toddler. Steps away from the water. Should be disclosed it is a basement suite. Owner was nice and watched our dog when we went out for dinner. However on a few occasions we were less impressed. Our toddler had locked the door to our bedroom which required a key to open. Called the owner he was unaware that the door had a key lock and asked what to do should we call a locksmith? Thankfully our son didn’t lock himself inside. I was able to crawl through the window that had an ac attached to unlock it. Several times the owner, his daughter or neighbour were out on our back patio & lawn or heading out to paddle board or go boating. Also drinking on the deck above while we tried to enjoy the private hot tub. He let us do a load of laundry. However when I went to put the clothes in the dryer found he had already moved it into the dryer on our behalf due to someone coming to fix the washer. We would have preferred he asked us to move our laundry as it is private. The last night he came down at 10:30pm and knocked on our door a couple times as I was trying to put our baby to sleep and was loud enough to disturb her. Asked us if our toilet was working as his had no water in it came in and checked it. Would have preferred a phone call. Had a good time but would have benefited from more privacy.

Location great, accommodation needs updated and a good cleaning

I was on the fence about how to rate this place because Rod was so friendly and accommodating. But here goes… Rod was very easy going, friendly and accessible. Great check in. The location is amazing, right off the highway and being directly on the lake was great! However, I wasn’t aware it was a basement suite. This wasn’t explained in any of the reviews or advertising and would’ve swayed my decision on renting. We could hear all of the walking around upstairs and sometimes even up to 1 am. All of the dishes & cutlery had food residue them as did the bbq tongs. My friend had to clean out and wipe the cupboards inside, the cutlery drawer and the backsplash. The condiment shelf in the fridge was broke and just taped to barely hold it together. The curtain rods on numerous windows were broken and crooked, one of the beds didn’t have a mattress cover or a top sheet. Bottom of the shower door was calcified and rusted. We moved the over-sized couch to make a pathway to the kitchen only to find that the floor had food particles and even a dog leash. Again, my friend had to put her cleaning hat on and vacuum the floor. The rental is in dire need of an update. When we told Rod about the sheets/mattress cover, he was very accommodating and apologetic giving us a discount on our last evening. I hope this helps somebody in whether they would rent this space as with a bit of TLC it would be a fabulous rental…I’m just not sure the location trumps all the other downfalls.

Beautiful view of scenery

Peaceful and scenic. Enjoyed every minute of our stay. Close to downtown Kelowna without all the noise and people. Day trips to Kelowna were a breeze and The Jammery down the road was to die for.
