HawaĂŻen pour "Village By The Sea", le complexe Kauhale Makai est une propriĂ©tĂ© en bord de mer situĂ©e Ă  Kihei. C'est l'un des quelques bĂątiments dans la rĂ©gion avec la climatisation centrale - pas de fenĂȘtres. Ce condo reste aussi cool que vous le souhaitez. Kihei est parfait pour les familles, les couples romantiques, ou pour ceux qui veulent se dĂ©tendre, ainsi que l'accĂšs rapide et facile Ă  des restaurants et des divertissements de classe mondiale. Le Kauhale Makai possĂšde un terrain de volley-ball et un putting green sur place. Il se trouve Ă  5 minutes Ă  pied des courts de tennis publics du Luana Kai Resort.

Kauhale Makai # 330 est une unité de 1 chambre, 1 salle de bain avec vue sur l'océan située au 3Úme étage du bùtiment Plumeria. Il y a un lit king Californie dans la chambre et un canapé-lit queen dans le salon. Tant le salon et la chambre disposent d'une télévision. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay here! It was very clean and had plenty of space. It was a super convenient location to get to many things. The beach access was so close to go out and watch the sunset every night. I appreciate the starter kit of supplies and it was more than plenty! Also such a great touch to have chairs, snorkel gear, and beach towels! They came in handy! We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others! Our only complaint was that the knives were dull so it was hard to things...must be a lot of guests trying to cut pineapples like us over all the visits :)

We loved sitting out on the balcony eating breakfast looking at the pool and ocean. Condo decorations were a wonderful beach vibe. Beach chairs, fins, and snorkel were nice to have in room to borrow. Kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. My daughter had her wedding on a beach while we were in Maui and staying at the condo was convenient for all the activities we did while in Maui. I would recommend staying at this condo.

My only criticism is that the listing should have been more clear about the laundry facilities. The washer and dryer are in a shared location and take quarters or requires you to download an app to pay. We would rent a piece of paradise here again.

Overall good budget friendly option for Maui

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The grounds of the property, pool, BBQ etc. are all very well maintained. Kudos to the onsite staff. And the Rentals Maui folks are quick to respond, and very friendly, so they get 5 stars! However, our unit could benefit from some updating overall. And while the AC is "central AC" which was one of the reasons we chose this property, the system is old and we had to run it constantly to be comfortable. There were also tons of kids who had the run of the pool most days. The pool area is pretty small, so if you are looking for a quiet day by the pool I would suggest a different property. Just know what you are getting/giving up compared to resorts - we wanted a more budget friendly trip, and a kitchen, which we got. So it met our needs, but we missed the amenities of a more modern, larger condo or resort. Again, the onsite and prop mgmt staff are 5 stars, our condo and rating for the pool is about 3 stars overall.

great view

condo has a great view. air conditioning works well, bed was comfortable. kitchen has all you need. not much road noise but lots of noise from the pool. when it was full of kids we kept the sliders shut, not that we were in the condo much. also our bad timing the pool shed beneath us was being rehabbed so some noise, smells and random debris around to look at. we could hear upstairs neighbor walking around but thankfully they were not there for our entire stay. not walkable to any restaurants but one, and no real beach to speak of - i do not know if one could swim there. condo had everything we needed. overall condo was ok.

Beautiful location comfortable unit

This was our first time staying here and it really is a hidden gem. Small complex with ocean views. Screen on lanai helps with the afternoon heat, but the AC works fine. Kitchen has everything needed to cook. Quiet, very little noise. Park is right outside lanai.

Just right

For retirees, the bed makes all the difference sometimes and this bed was great! The complex is a bit older, but this unit was nicely updated. Coming from 30 degree weather, we found the bedroom to be a bit too warm with no fan, but overall the unit was just right for us. Close enough to town and beaches, restaurants, just a few minutes from everything.

Marvelous Maui

This accommodation was an exact fit for our VRBO style. There were no deviations or surprises between the property description and what we experienced. Oceanview, beach front in a well cared for quiet spacious one bed room unit. The unit was well furnished and equipped for us to have most of our meals in and enjoy dining on the lanai. The property manager was very communicative. The building super and staff cleaned and maintained the grounds every day. Mahalo!

Great base camp

After spending a couple days at a resort hotel we stayed here. It was a great base camp as the plan was to go explore the island and do stuff. Had everything we needed including a great balcony to have coffee on.

As advertised, had everything we needed. Had a minor issue that was adressed immediately. Plenty of beach gear & towels....although still relatively comfortable, the mattress will need to be replaced soon, hump in the middle. Mahalo!MAHALO !

Loved that it was so close to the beach and that chairs and umbrella were provided. A little disappointed that the inside of the unit was not updated and the closet had a lot of sand and dirt in it. The toilet did not flush well and the bathtub drain was very slow.

Great Stay!

Perfect location close to amazing beaches and the view is amazing! The hot tub and pool at sunset was a great time. Definitely would stay again!

Family stay in Kihei

Our family spent a week in Kihei. The apartment was great and met all our needs. It had beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear and more for the beach. The only downside was the unit was for sale so we had to leave for a showing and check out early for an inspection.

Good Central Location

Short walk to a sandy beach. Neat & clean apartment with extras like the beach chairs & umbrellas. We would stay here again.

Any issues (very minor) that we had were dealt with promptly and we had great communication with the manager. The view is fabulous, the condo was clean and had everything we needed. We saw whales from the lanai, and a turtle resting on the sand in front of the property. We have been to Maui many times and stayed in this complex many times and this condo was one of the best! Kahuale Makai is not as far south in Kihei as some people like but we always stay in this area because it is central and easy to drive to all parts of the island. We stayed in March and did not need the AC once. The breeze was enough to keep everything a perfect temperature. In March, this unit does not get direct sun which helps to keep it nice a cool during the day. We would stay here again without hesitation.

We had some issues but overall okay

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The day we got there the door was broken, locking us out of the unit. After getting in we realized the doorframe was broken/cracked and the hardware was loose. This causing the door to jam even though it was unlocked. The bedding was dirty(like crusty food or something dried on the comforter. We ended up having to wash everything before using it the first night. Lastly, the air conditioning was off in the unit when we arrived and it had rained the days before our arrival. All of the furniture was damp and felt wet from moisture to sit on it. This did resolved after the air was running for a day or so. The location was okay, but not really within walking distance to anything. parking was easy. For what we paid, we should not have had all of the issues we did.
