Less than a five-minute walk to the beach, this fully renovated upstairs duplex unit at 6 Gannet Street offers the perfect North Forest Beach getaway. Located just a block and a half from the Atlantic Ocean, this beautifully updated duplex home features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an inviting open-concept living space. The kitchen is fully stocked and opens to the living room, complete with a breakfast bar and small dining area—ideal for gathering after a day in the sun. Step outside to the private balcony, where you’ll find a gas grill and outdoor dining area perfect for evening cookouts.

The primary bedroom features a King bed and ensuite bath, while the second bedroom includes two Queen beds. The third bedroom offers a twin bed with a pull-out twin trundle, and both guest rooms share a hallway bathroom. To make your beach days even easier, this rental includes four adult bicycles and four backpack beach chairs—free with your stay.

Perfectly located for a family vacation, you’ll reach the beach in minutes or take a short stroll or bike ride to Coligny Plaza, where restaurants, shops, and entertainment await. Kids will love the nearby park and splash fountains, while adults can enjoy everything North Forest Beach has to offer.

Great location!

Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the beach and Coligny Square were within a short walking or biking distance. Neighborhood was quiet as well. We enjoyed our visit!

Great location for a beach getaway

We had a wonderful time
the property was lovely, well furnished and just as described. It’s a close walk or bike to the beach or the plaza. Having the bikes and beach chairs there was such a nice addition

Perfect Getaway

We loved the convenient location that was close to plenty of things to do, but still quiet and relaxing. Booking, check-in, and check-out were all easy and communication was great. The space was clean and well-stocked, beds were comfy, and we enjoyed watching movies on the big screen TVs on a couple of days when we had rainy weather. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and felt it was a really good value too.

Our Anniversary Trip

This property was cozy,clean, the atmosphere was even clean. We had everything we needed. The beds were spectacular with soft comfort. We all slept like a baby. The bikes was a joy, and fun to ride. The Beach was just around the corner..Everything was so perfect, We didnt have to call the owner's for anything. They had everything covered, and made it easy for us to enjoy our stay.We will definitely come back again to stay.Thank you so much for making our wedding anniversary so cozy, and satisfying.

We stayed in the upstairs unit of the duplex, and we were very impressed with the style and comfort of the unit. The rental came with wonderful extras, like four maintained bicycles that were great for riding on the beach and around town. Groceries, restaurants, conveniences -- and of course the beach -- were right nearby. One note, the two units are not totally soundproofed from each other, and though the vacationers downstairs were not being rude at all, their conversations did keep some of us up at night. If anyone in your crew is a light sleeper, this might not be the place for you. Other than that one detail, this rental is an amazing value and highly recommended.

Our Stay on North Forest Beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent the month of March at 6A Gannett in North Forest Beach, Hilton Head, South Carolina. We booked this rental several months before our trip. The photos and description stated this property was recently renovated and the photos gave the impression that it was a spacious up to date property. We were looking for a spacious rental as our children and grandchildren were joining us for part of our stay.On arrival, we checked into the unit without a problem. What was immediately apparent was that the bedrooms and baths were substantially smaller than the photos made them appear. The unit also showed that it’s undergone a lot of use since it was renovated. A few examples; the sheets on the bed in the master bedroom were so thin you could see light through them. There was only one set, so you had no alternative but to use them. The light fixture in the kitchen had dead bugs in it. The rubber seal on the washer door was cracked and had black soap slime coating the inside of the door. The patio furniture showed a lot of wear and tear and the vinyl strapping looked like it might give way when you sat on it. There were cut crystal cocktail glasses in the cupboard that had chipped rims. One of the pillows in the spare bedroom lacked a pillow case. The glass shower doors in the master bath could have been kept cleaner if a small squeegee had been provided. Carpenter bees buzzed around your head when you were seated on the upper level porch. The kitchen stools are precarious to sit on. This property would be well served if it was given some “TLC”!!That said...it’s in a great location - quiet, narrow streets lined with mature live oak and palmetto trees draped with Spanish moss. It features a five minute walk to the beach and just minutes more to Coligny Plaza. The nearest bike path is two short blocks away. We brought our own bikes, but there were four bikes available to use. The gas grill was a welcome addition and was equipped wit

Very nice place for a Week's Stay in HHI

The house is clean, has everything you need for the week, and is precisely a 4.5 min walk to the beach. Also a 5 min walk to Coligny and its bevy of restaurants, bars, and a grocery store. Our rental included 4 bikes and chairs, which was a very nice plus and saved that normal expense for us. Only negative was that the wireless and cable was not working for the first 3 days of our visit, but the rental agency warned us the day of arrival and worked with the parties to resolve. I didn't mind at all, but my 2 teenagers were less thrilled.We've been to HHI 5 times in multiple locations over the last 12 years and this house was a fine rental, esp if you like the North Forest Beach area. Its far enough from Coligny that the beaches are less crowded, but close enough to make everything walk/bike-able. The house is clean, updated, and well-equipped. No issues and would say its a very good rental for the money paid.

Beautifully redone and great location!

Austin’s place was awesome! Perfect for a family of 4. My wife and I took two of our boys (3 and 4) down to Hilton Head for a last-minute vacation and this place had everything we were looking for. Beautifully refinished, comfortable furniture and accommodations, and a short walk to Coligny Beach, Adventure Playground and the shops and restaurants right in Coligny Plaza. We will definitely be looking for this one again on any future trips to HHI!
