Very nice condo! It was beautifully decorated, spacious, and had a wrap around balcony for great beach views! Good location in the middle of all the beach towns along 30A.

Smith Family Annual Beach Trip

Property was just amazing. We have been vacationing in Orange Beach & Gulf Shores for over 25 years and this house was the best ever. Loved the kitchen layout and the nine beach front bedrooms.

Great stay!

We had a wonderful time in this spacious 3 bedroom condo. Plenty of room for all 10 of us! Close to restaurants and Publix food store. The beach was not crowded and beautiful! Great family vacation. Property manager was very responsive!

30A Getaway

The property was very clean and well stocked. We didn’t cook but the kitchen seemed to have everything you’d need. The 3 bedrooms with 3 baths was perfect for a girl’s trip. The property needs a few touch ups but for the price is a great deal.

Honeymoon at Castle in the Sand

This place was absolutely perfect after our beach wedding for a short 3 day honeymoon- the views and amenities were absolutely incredible. A couple small things that we thought would be an improvement would be carts at the elevators for loading our bags in. We had to make multiple trips. And there were no instructions for the main TV-we were on our honeymoon so no big deal for us but it was very difficult to figure out. Other than that the place could not have been more perfect!

A wonderful place to stay

This is the second year we've stayed at Castle In the Sand for the full month of February. It's a safe and convenient location very close to Alys and Rosemary Beaches. Each bedroom has an attached bathroom that worked very well for our party. Sitting on the balcony overlooking the ocean with coffee each morning and watching the sunset with a glass of wine each night. The unit is dated. Appliances are old but in great working condition. It would be nice to have the double pane window in the french door to the balcony fixed. It's cloudy and obstructs the view. Other than that everything in the unit is in great working condition. I would recommend staying at Castle in the Sand.

Floor plan is cramped. Small kitchen, no where to store groceries, small master bath shower

For such a nice area, the floor plan left a lot to be desired. But putting that aside, there was a day where I had to do some work, and I couldn't, because the WiFi constantly bounced. I suppose it's a great place if you plan to eat out every night and "disconnect" from the rest of the world. Didn't fit what we planned. The beach was beautiful, but I had to make sure my family's umbrellas were out on the beach by 6:30 am, because the beach attendants would have the rentable umbrellas and chairs filling all waterfront space by then. A whole week of vacation and didnt sleep past 6:15. The decor was nice, big balcony.

Terrific View & Private Beach Access

Unit was clean and had a few amenities for cooking. Twin bunk space was tight (think boxcar bunks). Overall accommodations were good and we would consider revisiting this property if other clientele had better pool/beach etiquette (there was blatant underage smoking/drinking, eating and not cleaning up by the pool, obnoxious banter & music). We also had difficulties with construction trucks barring entry//exit through the gate. But by far the biggest inconvenience was not having access to hot water for 24+ hours and subsequent loss of dryer use for 12+ hours. We lost a beach day and subsequent time at a nice dinner party dealing with this inconvenience. I would like to see owner offer good will with adjusting that daily rate.

Fantastic stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this property and the surrounding 30A area. The unit was very clean and in excellent condition. Bedrooms are spacious and the bunk room was of adequate size for a small adult. A few minor issues/questions which were very promptly addressed by the property manager. Check in and out was a breeze. Our only 'wishes' would be that the gas fireplace be allowed to be utilized by guests in the winter season (maybe put it on a timer or something?) and that there be more silverware added to the kitchen (otherwise it is adequately equipped)-- IMHO there is not enough for 10 people if you were at max capacity in the unit-- honestly, there wasn't really enough for 4. The coffee pot is a mix of a regular pot and a keurig for those wondering. There are also a few games and boogie boards in the laundry closet. The unit was SUPER quiet (although we were there in off season) and because it is a small complex, we never had to wait for the elevator! Plenty of towels and extra blankets. Overall an amazing location, beautiful beach and a well-maintained unit. Highly recommend!

Great condo in convenient location

Very clean, nicely decorated, had everything necessary in the kitchen and then some. Layout was good, nice size balcony overlooking the beach, great location close to several restaurants, shopping etc. Beach was nice with chair service available.
