Sweet location. It feels like being in a treehouse. Yes, the view is breathtaking! The house was very clean for our stay. The furniture and living space is dated but when you're having fun on the beach, that doesn't matter. We brought chairs to sit on when lounging on the outdoor decks because there was only one old plastic chair. The kitchen appliances all worked but it would have been nice to have more than four bowls. The property manager's communications were comprehensive and thorough.

We have a large family and our experience was incredible. All the views and things to do were so fun, affordable and welcoming. Home was charming and had plenty of room to sleep our 7. Little loved but that’s what makes it even more special. Can’t wait to come back again.

The view was the best part about this house. I wish there was some good patio chairs so we could sit on the deck and enjoy it. There was a very unstable folding chair and a rusted out chair. The house is for sale which was kind of weird when we pulled up. It is 100% unsafe for young families. The stair railings are so far apart my 13 yr old niece could fit through them let alone my 1, 3, and 5 yr olds. I don't know how they could be up to code. The rocking chair was falling apart on the back and had visible stables. There were cords everywhere for the different internet and tv connections. There was an open wall socket with no cover, etc. The instructions said not to change the settings on the thermostat but it was set on a timer and would turn the heat on automatically. We would have to turn it off at least twice a day and leave the doors and windows open to try and cool off the house. There were a lot of pictures of stairs on the listing. I thought they were a few stairs taken at different angles. It's not. It's a little maze in there. We didn't have internet the first day and a half but they did have someone come by and fix it which was great. It worked for us for the few days we were there but probably would not stay again unless the price was better and my kids were much older.

Stairway to heaven

It really is the stairway to heaven, kids loved running around up and down the stairs, kept them busy for hours, while the adults got to relax and play games. Beautiful views of the ocean and the relaxing sound.

Perfect for families! Everything was a bit aged, but that helped with the comfort level of having kids and a pet there. The views were exceptional, and the hosts were anxious to help and make things better. Our only complaint was the home was set up for 10 people, and we ran out of toilet paper by day 2-3 on a 7 day stay. We never had to turn on the ac because the sliding doors opened and kept the living space fresh. Privacy was amazing also.

Unique house with a gorgeous ocean view

We were looking for a place that would be quiet, have a great view, and was close to town and the beach. This was perfect! The house was perfect for our family members and it felt very homey and charming. The 10 am checkout was the earliest of any other place we stayed on our trip but the property was worth it! It was a memorable stay!

Not what I expected at all. Our seventh time on the coast in ten years and by far the worst. I was aware that it was dated from pictures but I did expect a comfortable place to sleep and furniture that wasn't falling apart. It wasn't very clean for which I expected since they charge so many fees. Carpet hadn't been properly vacuumed and were very stained. The beds were terrible. The bedding they used was very old. I had to dig through a closet to find bedding for the pull out bed. The closet was a mess. Nothing sorted or folded. There were many outlets that were cracked and falling off the walls. I consider this a fire hazard. One bathroom had ceiling tiles falling through. Another toilet handle was almost broken off. The furniture itself was falling apart. Many of the pans in the kitchen were falling apart or warped. The also not all the burners would heat up properly. The views from the deck were beautiful but no chairs outside that were not falling apart or comfortable to use. The trash was almost full when we got there on a Wednesday. I contacted the host to see when it would be emptied next, which was Monday. We put it out although paperwork says they would. It was overflowing by then. It was never picked up. So I contacted the host again. They said they would send someone. In that time we had to put trash in the recycle bin because the lid wouldn't close and there were animals in the area. I will never rent from this company again.

Beautiful views

The sound of the ocean was beautiful and beautiful views. Family room was very comfortable. Some dust and lots of spiders outside and webs inside. But overall it was a great first time experience with my family staying in a home. The location was perfect with no neighbors too close.

Fantastic experience

Had kids that loved the stairs running all around the house with lots of decks with amazing views for the adults. Grill was awesome for feeding the family. Careful for older members of your family as there are plenty of stairs (2 small flights just to get from front door to living room) owner responded right away. You get what you pay for

You definitely get what you pay for in this house. It is old and in slight disrepair but the views are AMAZING and the price is very low. It worked for our needs and the property manager was very communicative. The location is good, short drive to beach and other coastal towns like Astoria and Seaside. There was bedding left in the washer and dryer, which wasn’t too big of a deal, and the it didn’t seem like the floors had been vacuumed/cleaned. Also, there aren’t a lot of towels. Oh, and the stove only had one knob on it, but we were still able to cook what we needed.Overall, the price is low and if you gauge your expectations accordingly, it’s really not a bad stay.

Beds not so great

Everything about this place and the process of renting it were excellent. My only problem was it advertised as sleeping 10. Which technically, it does. But it was 1 king size, 1 queen size beds that were fine. After that, unless you have children, were not at all suited for adults.

Beautiful location. Beautiful views. The house has many levels with stairs that makes it very difficult for people who have mobility issues. Bathrooms work well with good water pressure. Kitchen needs work and not well stocked. Lacking toaster and teakettle which the host later provided us. Dish towels were limited and old. . . Due to bad weather we left early.

Breathtaking Views

I have stayed at many rental houses in Rockaway, including beach front properties and I can say without a doubt this was the best place with the best views hands down. Walking into the house was jaw dropping - the views everywhere in the house were spectacular. The house was very cozy, the favorite place was definitely the small "book nook" on the upper floor. Things were easy to find in the house and any issues or questions that arose during the stay were promptly answered by the iTrip staff who were always very kind and friendly! The only critique I would give would be possibly doing a little bit better "deep cleaning" from time to time as there were some spaces with a lot of cobwebs, but they were in harder to reach spots which is understandable and never felt like the location was gross or unclean. The rooms had plenty of storage for clothes for the trip without taking up too much space! The house had a lot of character to it which was fun, it really is such a charming place!
