Being without power and flooded in for an extended period is understandably distressing, and we recognize how unsettling that must have been. While there was no official evacuation order issued for the area at the time, we do understand that the weather conditions were severe. We also acknowledge that communication during the event did not meet the standard you—and we—would expect. Not reaching out to check in was an oversight, and we’re taking steps to review and improve our emergency response protocols moving forward. As stated in our terms and conditions, no refunds or compensation are provided for events outside of our control, including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, utility outages, or government actions. While this policy is in place to provide clarity and consistency, it’s never our intention to appear indifferent to our guests’ well-being.
