La Casita ha una cucina completamente attrezzata con vista sull'oceano e un bagno la cui doccia è aperta verso il cielo - il sole nel giorno e le stelle e la luna di notte. Una ampia camera da letto 2 posti letto (matrimoniale o due gemelli) e un divano letto può ospitare un bambino. Ci sono viste sul mare da ogni camera e dal ponte espansiva (estancia) c'è una vista di 120 gradi mozzafiato sull'Oceano Pacifico. Una scansione della vista mare da riva a orizzonte, in qualsiasi momento della giornata può rivelare volo a vela e gabbiani immersioni, fregate ad alta quota, le balene violazione, surfisti cavalcare le creste fuori il punto, subacquei cieco esplorare nascondigli subacquee di aragoste e cetrioli di mare e delfini saltano nei loro archi aggraziati attraverso la superficie del mare ... e, che punteggiano la brillantezza morbida del sole al tramonto, stormi di pellicani dipingono una silhouette ondulata contro il cielo occidentale.

Jolene was an excellent communicator and the house was equipped with every amenity, sans tv, which was what we preferred. We all loved Troncones, our first visit. We surfed, cave-hiked, walked and ate so well. Gladys cooked a couple of delicious meals! (Motorbikes helped access an otherwise long walk to town.) So many thanks for a perfect stay.

A perfect sourjourn

Casa Porvenir and El Nido are magical. Beautiful, immaculate, thoughtfully designed. We cooked, read, looked for shells, watched for whales, sat in the swing for wild sunsets. This is a very special place directly on one of the world's best beaches. Thanks for letting us share it.

A welcoming, stunningly beautiful place to rejuvenate and enjoy Trancones

Casa Porvenir was such a dream for my wife, daughter, granddaughter and myself. We loved how much the home and grounds felt like a tropical extension of how we love to live. The house was open, filled with the air from the sea, the plants were well tended with mostly natives from this bioregion, the kitchen was a delight to cook in, the shower was magical as you could take a shower and watch the moon pass overhead, and the location, with the view of Trancones Point from the swinging bench helped us to fall in love with the well-held home. Jolene and Wayne were such a delight to communicate with as they both have such big hearts and a great sense of grace which you can see in Casa Porvenir. Thank you Wayne and Jolene for sharing your paradise with our family. We want to return, again and again...

What an Experience!

My husband and I loved our get away to Manzanillo Bay. Beautiful setting , located right on the beach, with nightly spectacular sunsets. This home is very well appointed with lovely sitting areas, comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen and well kept gardens. We were so impressed with the architecture and wonderful Mexican craftsmanship of the casa. The owners had a dream and it appears it was communicated and executed well. What a unique home. Jolene was very helpful with planning and assisting us throughout our stay. If you plan a stay, make sure you have Gladys cook for you. Best chiles rellenos ever! The swimming in this area is quite safe, which is not always the case on the Pacific coast. We loved using the boogie boards, that were made available for us. Make sure you hit Eden, a nearby hotel on Friday night for live music and Johnny's in nearby Majahua for shrimp meals. All in all a very tranquil and relaxing time.

Wonderful escape

We spent a wonderful week at Casa Porvenir. The house is very nice, with the beach side completely open. The sunsets are really spectacular. The beach directly in front of the house is rocky (we had a great time wading in the tidal pools looking at the sea life), and there is a swimming beach a couple hundred yards to the south. We occasionally saw people walking or riding horses on the beach in front of the house, but for the most part there was no one to be seen but us. This was mostly a veg-out trip for us, but for the more actively inclined there are a number of places to rent bikes, surf boards, etc. There are a number of restaurants a short walk in both directions, with fresh local seafood the star attraction. We particularly enjoyed the little places on the beach at La Majahua just to the north. Gladys, the maid (maid service six days a week), will also prepare meals at a reasonable cost. She prepared dinner for us three nights and everything she made was delicious. There are additional restaurants and shops in "downtown" Troncones, which is a longish (2.5 miles) walk or an inexpensive cab ride away. As my wife said, this is a great place to come if you want to get off the grid but not way off. This was our first visit to this area and we will almost certainly be back.

A peaceful getaway

My husband and I stayed at Casa Porvenir for one week and had an absolutely incredible time. We spent the week boogie boarding, reading books and playing on the beach... and evenings watching the sunset, watching the pelicans fish and making lovely meals with fresh fish (with a cold beer in hand). La Casita was beautiful home base. We were thrilled to see a group of dolphins playing in the bay one of the days we were there. We walked over to Majahua a couple of times and enjoyed some nice meals at one of the smaller restaurants on the beach there. We can't wait to go back!

Great Vacation

Casa Porvenir was a great place to spend our vacation. We were 4 adults and one baby and found it very comfortable. The main house was beautiful and spacious with an amazing view of the ocean and beach. Gladys cooked us lunch and we highly recommend her as her chef skills are wonderful. Fresh ceviche and sopes after a morning on the beach was lovely! Troncones is a sleepy little town more than a walk away, but Majahua is a short walk. We had a great time and recommend the property to anyone that wants peace and relaxation!

Beautiful & Peaceful

Casa Porvenir is a most beautiful & peaceful retreat from it all. This was our third stay here in 8 years. We absolutely LOVE it! The owners are amazing and so helpful. The staff are wonderful and there when/if you need them. We brought our 5 year old daughter (her 2nd stay!) and 21 month old son. They made sure that we had comfortable sleeping arrangements, going as far as obtaining a pack 'n play so we didn't have to travel with one. Our experience this visit was just as magical and special as our two previous stays. We will definitely be back!!! Muchas Gracias!

A wonderful experience

We stayed at casa Porvenir and el nido to celebrate new years. Luis and I stayed at casa porvenir and enjoyed the sound of the ocean, the gorgeous sunsets, it is a magical place. The kids stayed at la casita and they love it. We made arrangements with the staff to buy the groceries and cook for us, it was so delicious that we didnt go to any restaurant! Gladys the cook, made everything from scratch, healthy and delicious, and every day she prepared hand made tortillas. The rest of the staff is very atentive and the house is in very good shape. The owners worked for months with us making the arrengements and were very kind with us. We would love to go back for a romantic getaway or again with the kids. It was a great experience , i highly recomend the house

Perfect Family Vacation!

Our family of 4 (myself, husband, son (20) and daughter (18)) just returned from Troncones and loved every minute. The house was perfect in size, function, and was beautiful. We rented both houses which worked out well with the 2 older children. The kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable. Because of the road work there was no wifi but it was a true blessing. We played cards every night and reconnected as a family. I could easily return to the day of no internet or cell phones. Our kids were able to find wifi at café in town when the absolutely needed it which become less and less. My favorite part of the trip was the quality time we spent together as a family and meeting the wonderful locals in Troncones. Such nice friendly people. All the restaurants that were recommended by Jolene were fantastic. We ate at 2 of them twice because they were so good. We felt safe (never locked up anything!!) and very welcomed by the local. My husband and son went fishing with Samba and caught so much fish we had to give it away. They surfed right outside of the house which was very wonderful. We had no problems with anyone getting sick even though we ate out every night. The house was kept spotless by Gladys and she had dinner waiting for us on arrival. The beach was so beautiful and the water crystal clear (and warm !!) The whole family rated this trip as one of our top family vacations. Thank you for all your hospitality, recommendations, and opening your beautiful home to our family. Highly recommended!!

The Best

My wife and I just returned for a weeklong stay at Casa Porvenir. We had the best time there. This is our third time staying there, and we are already itching to return. The home itself is so well-kept. The space is gorgeous. And it's right up against the beach. So we could hear the ocean 24/7, which is incredibly relaxing. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, plates, etc. All we needed to do was purchase food at the market in Zihuat on the way from the airport to Troncones. The house is well-kept by a woman who cleans the place daily and a gardener who is taking care of the beautiful gardens. We will be back.

'A Piece of Heaven'!

My husband and I stayed at Casa Porvenir for two weeks back in March. One would think it's odd to write a review six months after the fact, however, the truth is, Casa Porvenir is unforgettable! So much so, that my husband and I have booked 2 additional stays for November and another for March of 2015. This place is a piece of heaven. Its location is perfect for long walks on the beach and a quick jaunt to Manzanillo Bay in for 'Big Boy' margaritas (the best I have ever had!). The house is very private despite the open air concept throughout and oozes authentic Mexican charm. There isn't an amenity you require as the home is fully stocked with every cooking utensil and appliance you could need. If you enjoy cooking, I'd be sure to take advantage of the fish and vegetable truck that passes every day. The selection of fish and sea food is caught the night before and deliciously fresh and the produce is perfect for giving Mexican cuisine a try. Be sure to ask the housekeeper to cook you a meal or two, she's a wonderful cook. The staff respects your privacy while providing for your every need and they keep the house and property immaculate. Wayne and Jolene, the owners, are wonderfully accommodating and go out of their way to make your stay relaxing and special. My only warning is 'be careful, you could fall in love with Casa Porvenir and Troncones', we certainly have.

Beauty and the Beach

Casa Porvenir is a very special place. We spent two weeks there and experienced true rest and relaxation. We left very hectic lives and escaped to peace and serenity which we found very nourishing - in fact this was the most relaxing trip we have ever experienced. The property is very well appointed and beautifully designed with a truly organic open air feeling. It is located right at the edge of the ocean and we enjoyed just sitting back and watching pelicans and sea birds fishing every day. One day we spotted whales surfacing a short distance offshore while sitting in the living room. We like to cook and ate most meals in and we found the kitchen to be very well appointed with everything we needed. The staff at Casa Porvenir were very pleasant and efficient, we felt very well supported for anything we may have needed. Casa Porvenir was the most beautiful place we have ever stayed in.
