The sticking slider in the living room you mentioned will definitely be replaced. Concerning the lack of window coverings in the living room, we are already moving ahead with the installation of appropriate window treatments. Initially, we had elected to forego them because we were concerned they would limit the wonderful ocean views that can be appreciated from the living room, dining, and kitchen areas. However, after considering your feedback, we recognize the importance of providing our guests with the option to control the amount of natural light entering these spaces. Rest assured, we take guest feedback seriously, and your comments have been noted. We will promptly address these issues and ensure that they are resolved to meet our high standards. Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent stay at our Indian Shores property. We appreciate all guest comments as they help us identify areas for improvement. Regarding your concerns about the air conditioning, our property manager, David, visited the unit three times during your stay, and each time, the temperature was consistently around 70 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the apartment. It's important to note that our units are designed to maintain a comfortable temperature and never freeze up, which could lead to a complete shutdown and potential flooding. As for the front kids' room, we want to assure you that David inspected it during his visits, and the temperature was similar to the rest of the unit. Furthermore, the presence of kids' belongings throughout the room clearly indicates that it was used throughout your stay. Regarding the issues with the front windows, we want to clarify that they were addressed on the same day you reported them. However, our ability to fully resolve the matter was limited by the building's HOA regulations. Concerning the lack of a dresser in the second bedroom, our listing photos clearly show a six-drawer dresser in that room, providing ample storage space for clothes. Regarding the blackout curtains in the second bedroom, while we acknowledge that some guests may prefer them, the room is equipped with full blinds that are highly effective in blocking out light when closed. We regret to inform you that you failed to mention in your review that many of the apartment's towels, as well as the master bedroom's comforter, were rendered unusable due to extensive staining that could not be removed even with bleaching. We have yet to determine the cause of such extensive damage. While we would typically charge the cost of replacement to the security deposit, we have decided not to pursue this matter further to avoid further engagement with your party. It's disappointing that you also neglected to mention in your review that you attempted to extort a refund of over 50% of the rental total by threatening to leave a negative review. As property managers, we strive to address any issues promptly and have offered refunds to guests in the past when their experiences were less than perfect. However, your continuous escalation of demands for a refund felt like a form of blackmail, which is unacceptable. Our family has been renting properties through VRBO since 2012, and thankfully, this is the first time we have had to deal with guests attempting to extort money from us through threats and blackmail. We strive to provide an exceptional experience for all our guests, and we regret that your stay did not meet your expectations in some aspects. While we appreciate your feedback, we cannot condone the attempt to extract an excessive refund through threats and extortion.
